Title: zero vs byte?
Post by: Matt Fortney on February 28, 2014, 06:54:15 PM
Buddy of mine is looking for something to give him more of a chance on heavier oil. He throws a byte now, likes it, but obviously, anything over medium doesn't necessarily give him the look he wants. He doesn't want something that'll burn up on him (sync). Would the zero be a good choice for him?

To give you an idea he's the definition of medium. Medium speed, medium revs.

Or possibly hyper cell?

I have zero and hyper cell. Both different ball. I don't think you can really call zero a heavy oil ball. It's a great ball on dies well on our fresh heavier ths. And it's versatile. Will handle more oil than byte without question, the HC is super string upfront and the Zero is very clean upfront

I would go zero . Probably be able to use it more often than the hyper cell and the Zero will make a good combo to have with the byte

Have you considered Marvel S? Great heavy oil ball that is cleaner through the front and transitions smoother than Sync. I just keep moving left as lanes break down and it never overreacts or burns up. I can use it in all but the driest of lane conditions.
