Older stuff...Fear Factor ..X reloaded...your opinions?
« on: October 10, 2007, 01:27:34 AM »
Your thoughts.

Saw a Morich Awesome revs open a local wood house open like a can last night.

The other night in practice saw a Pyro look great also.

Typical pearls in this wood house have a tendancy to be skittish.

Think one of these two old standbys(I have laying around undrilled) might be good on this condition?

Is the Fear factor a much higher particle load than the Reloaded?

REgards,

Luckylefty
PS...My triple X is almost great but a touch skittish!
PPS I usually use a Sonic X solid or Sonic X pearl but they don't give me as much area as the bigger core in the Triple does!

Out of the two I would opt for the Reloaded...mine blended out patterns fairly nicely.  Never really liked the Fear Factor so my opinion is a bit biased against that ball.

Chris,

Did you feel there was a lot more particle load in the FF pill?

Lefty,

Both balls are MT Particle - about 2% particle load.  The real difference with these two balls is the cover.  Reloaded is a pearl particle modified Accutread while the Fear Factor is a solid Monsoon particle.  If both balls are new OOTB the Reloaded will give you more length and a more recovery than the Fear Factor.  On the other side of things the Fear Factor will get into an earlier roll and smoother move off of dry.

This house likes push...all short balls split...but it likes a smooth move off dry.

The Awesome revs with a strong setting on the mass bias looked SO Sweet??

Hmmmmm....A friend of mine looked good on my side with a highly polished freak and another guy looked good with a highly polished UltraInferno and a good flat hand release.

My ball rolled well the Sonic X solid but there was a problem of tree sap getting on my ball...or was it pine tar?  I figured Joe Torre was trying to send to Cleveland but it got lost in shipping!

Mysterious.

greenefam answered your question you left for me really well.  I just thought that the cover / core combo was a little off in the Fear Factor.  The Reloaded will definately get the length that you want and for a smoother transition I would look at a smoother drilling, surface adjustment or a combo of the two.  Another option might be to pick up a Sure Fire...they look great for length and smoothing out breakpoints down lane.
