Description: Track has designed the new 300C to be their first entry in the lower mid performance arena. They feel this will give the true Track fans the opportunity to be able to be competitive on all lane conditions, including the driest. In addition, they will also garner consideration of bowlers new to the sport to make a Track ball their first ball. The 300C is constructed with the Track DNA core. Then wrapped it with a brand new coverstock blend, theGen MC (Moderate Continuation) with performance solid. This cover is designed to be very clean through the front part of the lane, with the predictability of the ever popular “C” balls.

Likes: Great for high rev players, smooth and predictable motion. Really fits with other Track equipment nicely.

Dislikes: Don't use this ball on heavy oil unless you have a ton of hand.

Likes:  The main reason I drilled this ball was because I had a ball drilled similar and really liked the roll I got from it but needed something with a little more coverstock with the newer updated oils.  Plus, I am going to be bowling a few tournaments and needed something with some control on the backend.  First night out last night was on a fresh house shot.  I was EXTREMELY impressed by what I saw from this new 300C Solid.  Ball comes 4000 with Factory Finish out of the box and that is where I left it because I still wanted it to get through the front part of the lane clean.  I was actually surprised with the stronger cover than the Ebonite Black Ice and much stronger core, that the 300C still got down the lane extremely well; almost too well.  When inside the oil line, the ball didnt get started as quickly as I thought it would.  This ball with this layout really forced me to tighten up my line.  Typically I start 3rd arrow and play around 7-8 breakpoint with my pin up balls.  The 300C with this 2 inch layout forced me to start playing about 3-4 boards right of that at the arrows with a breakpoint still in that 7-8 board area. When I got the ball to 5-6 at the breakpoint, the ball was still very smooth off the spot and absolutely ZERO signs of the ball wanting to "take off".  When I got the ball into about 9-10, the ball held its line extremely well. This is why I am such a HUGE advocate of the 2 inch layout with those with at least a 300 rev rate.  You can use it on both THS as well as tournament shots with equal success.  Shot 279 out of the box with it for 740 just learning as to what this ball is capable of.

Dislikes:  Only dislike, if any, would be the Factory Finish polish as that polish can make a ball go too long down the lane on higher volumes.  Contemplating taking the polish off and just going with a 4000 abralon finish and see what happens.

Likes:  The new Track 300C brings a whole new look to the lower-mid price point.  With the new DNA core and raised RG and Diff numbers, along with a stronger solid coverstock, this ball screams benchmark ball!!!  My first one is drilled 65 x 5 x 40 which puts the pin above the ring finger with the cg stacked.  Before drilling, I gently sanded the ball with a 3000 pad just to knock off the factory polish.  After throwing a few shots with this, I knew I was going to need another one of these in my bag!  This ball gets through the front of the lane very well, and picks up in the midlane and has a little bit of a punch downlane.  I drilled another one with a 55 x 5 x 70 layout, which puts the pin below my ring finger with the cg kicked out a little bit and a small hole 5 inches over, 2 inches down.  This ball picks up a little bit sooner and give me a smoother downlane motion which is what I was looking for.  If you need a true benchmark ball for your THS and other medium patterns, this is the ball to have!

Dislikes:  I would suggest knocking the shine off the cover with at least a 4000 pad, as the OOB factory polish is usually really squirty.

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): THS, short sport patterns

Likes: smooth and predictible off the spot

The 300C Solid for me has been much more predictable off the spot than the original 300C, the new core and solid cover have allowed the ball to make a smoother transition when seeing friction.  This ball has been very good for me when the lanes are really curving.  It has also been good on some shorter sport patterns (cheetah etc...).  For me the predictability of this ball has made it worth its weight in gold.  I am never surprised with the ball motion.
