Description: C stands for Continuation which means this ball will battle straight though the oil down the lanes and have a sharp end straight into the pocket. COMMENTS

Likes: This ball performed very well for me on this pattern. It was clean enough through the front of the lane which allowed it to have enough energy at the pin deck, while also being able to gain enough traction on the 47 foot pattern as to stay online and keep me in play on my missed shots. Layout is 70x4.75x50, and I was very shocked at how well this ball travelled through the fronts. On my THS league pattern, it was super clean and allowed me to play much straighter on that pattern without having to stand in the puddle and sling it to the dry. It enabled me to tighten up my line around the wall and play more parallel to the lane than the other 700 series balls. I think that this ball is going to be one of the most versatile balls ever made and that everyone will be able to find ways to strike a lot with it.

Likes: If you loved your 715C and 716C, you will DEFINITELY love the new 714C!!  Having drilled both of the prior 715C & 716C, I had very high expectations of the 714C, and I sure wasn't let down!  I drilled mine with a 75 x 5 1/2 x 45, which puts the pin above the middle finger and the mass bias kicked right about 2 inches.  This ball gave me a lot of roll in the midlane with a very continuous and smooth motion downlane.  I messed around with the surface a little bit, and found that the best match-up has been 1000/4000.... This surface allows the ball to read the right part of the lane, while still retaining enough energy to get around the corner and get the corners out.  This would be a great step down from an 811C/T, and a step up from a 706A/503T.... Track has done a great job with the numbering system and makes it easy for consumers to understand exactly what balls they need in their arsenal. 

Dislikes: Absolutely none at all!

I was able to throw this balls last night in league. We bowled on 41ft, this ball gave me a nice reaction on the fresh. Very smooth, with a nice heavy down lane continuous reaction. Mine is drilled 65/4.5/65, for me this is kinda my go to layout. I have 17mphball speed, 425rmp, 35 degrees axis rotation and 0 tilt. This layout gives me a very nice smooth layout but still strong enough down lane to give me hit when I move in. This ball was a great addition to my bag, I see it being the first ball I grab!

This is ball rolls real clean through the fronts with a smooth roll to the pocket. I used on THS, the hitting power is second to none. When I used it in my league with a shorter THS I was able to move in and push it through the fronts and it still had a nice smooth read to pocket. I have only liked the 700 series balls on certain conditions, but this ball is very versatile.

Let's talk about the 714c this ball will be hard to be described in one word but great comes to mind. If you liked the 716c you will absolutely love this ball. The 714c comes out of box with a bit more surface than the 716c, so I have it a couple feet earlier but definitely stronger down lane. This ball reads the mids real good and have that classic strong arc motion that we have come to love from our C series line. For your THS this would be a nice addition when there a bit fresher or you have more up front. It's also a great tournament piece especially when they're starting to break down but you dont want to lose that smooth continuous motion down lane. This ball is out and should definitely be in your bag, go pick it up from your local pro shop you wont be disappointed.

I was surprised when I drilled this ball.  I was expecting something significantly weaker than my 811C/T.  I was surprised when this ball tipped in the midlane and really plowed through the pins.  I think much of the strength of this ball has to do with the layout I used.  It is stronger than my shiny, pin-up 811C/T, but not as strong as my out-of-box surface pin down one.  I have found the 714C to be my benchmark bowling ball for leagues and tournaments.  As with previous 7-series balls the cover is strong enough to use on fresh oil on a typical house shot but not so strong that it has to go back in the bag after practice.  The core matches up very well to the core.  This is designed to be a benchmark ball and has delivered.  A little shine can allow the ball to turn the corner a little harder, while this is not the ball's strongest roll it is doable for those looking for more angle.  I have had the most success with this ball going more up the lane or with a small bounce to the right.  When it gets into a roll it does continue and gets through the pins nicely.  Another very solid piece from Track Bowling.

The 714C rolls earlier in the midlane than my pin up 811C/T. I have both in the bag for league and alternate between the two. The 714C is very versatile in lane play; I seem to have more boards to play with good recovery. Oh yeah and it hits pretty hard too! ;)

Likes: This one of my favorite bowling balls in my bag right now! For a 7 series ball, it sure does have a nice reaction and the continuation is unbelievable. Compared to my 706A is does read the lanes a little bit sooner.

Dislikes: none!
