- Ball comes with a microfiber cleaning sack with instructions on its use.
- Description: The 920A was designed to be more Angular on medium/heavy oil patterns. Built on the LEGGO core platform, the designers modified it by raising the RG to 2.57 and tweaking the horsepower of the core (Intermediate Differential) to .020, thus gaining extra length while still having plenty of hitting power. The coverstock chosen for this ball is the HP Gen 3 with Performance Pearl. The Pearl helps to make it more Angular on the backend. The surface is 4000 grit Abralon® sanded. Each new ball from Track will include a microfiber cleaning pouch with instructions on its use.

I have not thrown it but one of my customers is on Track staff and I watched him last night. Holy Wow! It looks like someone kicks it at the break point. I have never seen a ball with so much angle, I can not wait until Dec 1st to drill it.

920A #1
layout-pin 6"(above middle finger)
mb 4" (about 1" right of thumb)
surface-box(4000 abralon)
920A #2-
layout-rico(pin in center of palm mb at 45 degrees 7/8 hole)
surface-box(4000 abralon)

Now so far I have only used these on house conditions (40 & 42 feet) and I will update when I can get a chance to bowl on some tougher conditions.
Now my 920A #1 is very clean down the lane and has a very sharp back end reaction.  I've used this one the whole 3 games of league and didn't notice any slowing down because of carry down or anything.  It seems to keep me in the same area longer.
My 920A #2 is still pretty clean but has a much stronger midlane reaction that my other one.  I was able to play much deeper with this one mainly because of how much earlier it starts going into it's roll.  Same with the carrydown situtation...I don't even notice any delay in reaction even after a few games.

COMPARED TO THE 930T...It's MUCH cleaner down the lane and has a much more angular shape.

F.Y.I.  All of my equipment from now on will have these two layouts to help make it easier to compare them to one another.

I drilled my 920A with the pin 4.5x55x30 with no weight hole.I left the surface at 4000 abralon. This ball is a beast. Its very clean through the fronts and then reds the mids and is very strong at the breakpoint.I also tried the surface at 4000 abralon with magic shine and its very clean and just goes sideways at the breakpoint.I think track has a winner here that can be used on a variety of lane conditions. This is one awesome bowling ball.If you haven't tried some of the current track bowling balls you should get one soon. You wont be disappointed.

I drilled my first 920A 4x65x45.

The 920A is much cleaner through the front than the 930T.  It has a very nice read in the mids.  The backend reaction is something stronger than we have seen to date from any of the Track releases.  I've got a good 5-7 boards more on the back than the 715A and 505A.  The continuation is unmatched by anything that's on the market at this time.  The nicest thing that I've found with the reaction of the 920A is this...the ball makes an extremely angular move off the dry, yet it's not an uncontrollable or unpredictable read like some other skid/flip pieces that are out.

I was really hyped about the 930T and love the reaction that was provided by that piece.  I think this will be a more appealing piece for the league player simply because it's a higher performance ball that gives easier length than the 930T.  The tournament player will love the controlled angularity.

This is the ball that we have waited for.  It truely fits the long and strong brand signature.

Got the 920A a couple weeks back. I am a mid stroker with higher then average ball speed. Ball had long pin. Drilled the ball off Brunswick long pin maximum hook pattern. Having the 930, and enjoying the reaction on my house shot, I wasn't sure it was going to be used that much. But like most toys, I took it out of the bag and used it right out. Was extremely happy with the ease of getting down the lane, and was really happy with the backend reaction. It of course goes longer then the 930, but retains more energy for the backend turn.
First night left 2 tens and 2 8s for a 255-257-279 791. For me a great night, that isn't a regular occurence. 279 wasn't a 300 cause I put nothing on the tenth ball and left a well deserved 10pin. I love the ball, and the published reaction track claimed it would have.
I was a little pissed I missed 800, but that was my fault..

I currently have two 920A's punched up. One if Pin below the fingers, and the other is Pin above the middle finger. I recently just took my pin above middle to 4K Abralon and the other one is at 500 Abralon. The pin down one at 500 Abralon is my heavy oil ball and the other one I can use on a little more on the medium side. Both balls are very strong however. I dont use any of these on a THS, but I feel I could if I needed to.

I think I have weight holes on both of these balls, along the midline. I will say that I have a friend that likes to roll these two balls when he gets the chance and they both out hook his VG by at least 3-5 boards! I am going to go out on a limb here and rate these balls a perfect 10 because they are so amazing on the right conditions. I have seen alot of amazing balls lately, but this one definitly ranks up here with the best! Awsome roll, Awsome hit, and that = to Awsome Strikes!!! John

I got my 920A on a trade here on ball reviews and have had a chance to throw it a few times.  drilled pin down stacked with large weight hole near cg.
This ball hooks similar to my pure swing but it's a little sooner due to the pin down drilling. (pure is stacked pin up) I love the length this ball gives me on my local medium heavy house shot and the back end is very angular just like it's rated for.
My best line seems to be 18 to 1 with alot or speed and revs.  last night shot 15 strikes in a row and it seemed easy.  should have changed balls earlier than I did.
I have grown to like track since becoming a columbia300 guy but this ball has woke me up to tracks new and growing ball line.  Great ball track I think this one has 300 game potential!!

LANE CONDITION

Length: Second Shift House Shot (wood lanes), Kegel Dead Man's Curve, and PBA Shark

COMMENTS

Right Handed

Revs: 380-450 (depends on what the shot demands)

Speed: 18.2 mph

Layout: The pin is an inch above my middle finger with the MB an inch to the right of the thumbhole.

Surface: As of now I have only thrown the ball at it's box surface of 4000.

Ball Intention: A ball to use on longer sport patterns once the lanes have been broken down.

On the second shift late league I am not only able to start with this ball, but most of the time I can bowl the entire league with this ball. While it isn't a medium/dry lane ball in any sense of the word, but the cover gets through the front so effortlessly that I am able to use this ball on more patterns than I really should be able to due to it's down lane angularity. Typically I can start with this ball playing 20 to 7, but usually by the end of the night I'm in front of the guttercap. However, this is more a product of who bowled on the pair during the first shift, as on some night I haven't had to move as much. Despite this, when I'm lofting the gutter cap the ball still revs up nicely and doesn't start leaving 10 pins like many balls do when you move this deep inside.

On both of the sport shots I basically got out of the ball what I inteded of it. Obviously, due to the cover I cannot start with this ball on longer sport patterns. Due to how easily it gets through the front of the lane sometimes it just gets a little squirly on the fresh. The ball will make it back to the pocket, but due to the squirly reading of the end of the pattern sometimes it comes up really light due to skidding an extra foot or two. However, once you have created a defined hook area, you can just move to this ball and stay with it the rest of the block. I used the ball on each sport pattern after making a spot to throw at with my 505T and the ball came back to the pocket effortlessly.

It should be noted that as the ball says this ball is very angular, but not it does not over-react. I guess I would describe the ball as angular but sure footed in the back. It's almost unfair how easy it is to get backend out of this ball, because my bowling has basically been turned into, "get the ball of your hand cleanly and watching it hook regardless."

Overall, this is a fantastic ball, and it fills the need I intended for it.

LANE CONDITION

Length:

Volume: short oil

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): THS

COMMENTS

Likes: This was way too much originally for my med oil shot. Changed to pin down, put it at 4000/extender polish and I can play with this ball in the middle of the oil all night. With the pounded in polish, it slides through the oil and still hits hard.

Dislikes: Not much anymore

Likes:This Ball for a sanded surface worked well for me. I am A cranker That has alot of problems getting lenght out of any sanded ball. This ball was an exception It is very clean in the front part of the lanes and picks up alot in the midlane then transitions into a very angular. This ball has great pocket and off pocket carry. This ballkeeps pins low and does well kicking corners.

Dislikes: none so far
