    Description: Track’s 715T is the first “T” (Track-tion) ball released in the 7 series; designed to be a stronger version of the popular 505T. The designers set out to make a more aggressive product by using an all new UMP GEN4T coverstock. This cover has a larger footprint on the lane to help carve through the head oil. The “Catback” core was unchanged and is still a 0.015 intermediate differential, which gives this ball unbelievable striking power

    Likes: Love this ball. Have ball drilled with pin up next to fingers in the middle, cg kicked out in Balance Hole in PAP. Drilled this ball last tuesday and I love it. This ball actually does well with my 300C drilled almost identical except pin further up above fingers. When the 715T goes down the lane you need some oil cause this ball is a beast. This ball is very aggressive for a tournament bowler who is looking for a ball that is for medium heavy to heavy oil you need to pick one of these up. Great ball like always from Paul and Track wish sometime I can try out a ball from track and review it before it comes out. If you haven't thrown Track they are the best company out there now in my opinion keep it up Paul and Track.

    COMMENTS _ - Lefty, 375 rev, 15.5 mph

    Drilled 55x5x60.
    Used 2000 Sia pad on it before I even used it, so I can duplicate this cover.
    Needed a stronger, longer ball for this condition and since I'm the only one on that side, was looking for something playable from the start.
    It was great from the start, very predictable, smooth off the spot, just a great ball.
    This ball is not as strong as I had thought from the reading I have been doing. It does however have great recovery and that is the biggest difference I see.
    Great ball from Track.
     
    Complements my 607 quite well, maybe 3 boards stronger overall.

    I have drilled two of these to this point, I like to keep a little surface on the ball, normally one has a 1000 Abralon and the other is at 2000.  The ball is always smooth off the spot, gets into it's roll in the midlane and continues to roll without the big jump at the end.   This ball has played very well for me on sport patterns and tournament patterns.  If you are looking for a ball that is predictable off the spot and gives you a strong midlane move, this may be the optimum choice for you.

    DRILL PATTERN





    Pin to PAP:  6" (above bridge)

     


    Mass Bias to PAP: 4" (2" right of thumb)



    X Hole (if there is one): none


     









    BOWLER STYLE



    Rev Rate:



    Ball Speed: 16 mph


     


    PAP: 5-3/4 right only



     








    SURFACE PREP



    Grit and Type: 2k abralon (box) and used it at 2k abralon with factory finish polish







    LANE CONDITION



    Length: 42 feet

    BALL REACTION



    Length: (2k abralon finish) With the 2k finish the 715T still gets through the heads decent with a hard midlane read.  (2k then factory finish polish) After applying the factory finish polish the 715T is much cleaner through the heads with a much sharper backend reaction.  Even after applying polish it doesn't totally lose it's look in heavy oil.



    Back End:  Smooth when sanded and much sharper when polished.


     


    Overall Hook: So far the strongest in any of our lines right now.  It's a great replacement if you're looking for a high end reaction without the high end price. 



    Midlane Read:  Strong midlane. 



    Breakpoint Shape:  Depending on surface.  More rolly and smooth overal when sanded and stores up energy well when polished to be much sharper off of the break.



     








    COMMENTS



    Likes:  What I like about the 715T is how well it continues.  Doesn't die out very often and even with polish holds up well to heavier oil.



    Dislikes: Well every ball has a purpose and this one is heavy oil.  I can't use it as long as I'd like because of how strong it is overall.  Once the track area opens up it's hard to continue to use it.
