- Description: Why a 6 series ball? Track’s R&D Department developed the 607ASE specifically positioned between the 505A and 715A, presenting a level of performance that bowlers are looking for, right between the two. The core is a modified version of the Legion core used in the Track Temper. Extreme Angularity is the strength of the “SE6” GEN1 coverstock, making this ball a dynamic choice for the oil patterns in typical house shots most competitive league bowlers face. Get it now, because there won’t be another 6 for some time.

Stats in profile. Ball is drilled Sarge Easter 5 x 4 pin up at box finish. This ball reminds me of when the Equation first came out and people were like, "wow that thing turns!" For me this ball kept turning the corner from everywhere. I only had issues when playing inside 4th arrow but our pair was getting dried out and i was not executing shots very well. I plan on knocking off the factory finish and toying with surfaces and posting another review after i have used it more.

Bowled with this one again and the middle of the lane was toasty on the right lane. So i ended up inside standing on 30 on the left lane hooking the lane and 20 on the right lane playing a tighter swing shot. Just a demonstration of how this ball can work deep inside angles or straighter and smoother. Obviously depending on your game, lane conditions, surface, etc.

I drilled a 607Ase with 55 x 5 1/2 x 45 so in other words the pin above fingers with mass bias slightly kicked to the right of the thumb. One phrase discribes this ball.... The ball recovers!!!! Great backend motion. The onlt time this ball does not play well is when you throw it right into the dry. This ball will help even the low rev players open up a lane!

Extremely impressed with the 607, I drilled this one 50 x 5 1\4 x 65 and placed the balance hole on P3 and this ball has a fantastic reaction on SPL's  with the THC. I can play anywhere from 15-4 with this ball and it recovers without rolling too early or pushing too far. Very seldom we get a great cover\core combination but I really think this ball will push for Ball of the Year for Track.

Very impressed!!!

Was given one of these to try out recently, must say that it is one of my favorites on House conditions. Layout was 5¼ x 4¼ @ 70 degrees, pin High. Puts the pin above my bridge by 1 inch and Mass Bias near and even with my Thumb. Anyway what I am seeing with this one is effortless length and a strong/quick response to Friction. Great league ball for people with good rev rates who like to send it right and bend it. With stronger/pin down layouts the ball will be earlier and smoother but still very responsive to friction with the coverstock in OOB condition. Remember this is a Low-RG Ball and it does get rolling... the cover provides excellent length and the core provides a very strong continuation. Have received alot of compliments on how it looks going down the lane. Try one today!

Love my 607!!! Had it for about a week, bought this and my recon on the same day. Ball gets super easy length and a killer backend reaction. I was tempted to get the trap, also an assym pearl ball, but glad I got this one. Has amazing drive into the pocket and the continuation thru the deck is like nothing I've seen since my jigsaw! I can hit the pocket from any angle that I've tried from so far and have found nothing bad about this ball as of yet. Longer than my c sysyem 2.5 and recon(read my review) and is just awesome in the track area! Speed sensitive for me at times but when I need a ball to get to the hole, I know the track 607A SE will not fail me. I have been wary of tracks "number" balls, but I see now it was a misconception. Track has always worked pretty well for me and I'm glad I found this one. Not only is the color scheme really cool, but its also a very good ball that would seem to work well in any bowlers hand.

When TRACK came out with the 607A and posted that it was designed for the typical house shot, I heard alot of sceptics out there.  I sure would like to hear from them now.  I know for the ones in my area of the country, they have either put one in their hands or they wish that they could.  TRACK simply covered this ball as it seemed fit and it is exceptional on the house shot.  The 607A will fit in anyones game from the tweener to the cranker.  I have seen this ball used from all angles of the lanes and the motion is similar for all players.  The ball is sneaky long and clean through the heads and has great recovery and power off the friction.  My first one is drilled per specs off the TRACK ball layout design sheet (layout #2). Nothing fancy. I left the cover OOB condition and I haven't touched it with any polish since, only cleaner after leagues. I can't say enough about the 607A, except I can't wait to drill my next one.

I had the pleasure of throwing one of these at a ball demo yeaterday and I have to say awesome.  Major skid flip ball reaction but it matched up well to the house shot.  very long on length and then snap!! right across the lane..  the ball was drill neutral like all are for demo's but I really enjoyed this one and will get one sooner than later.
This ball reminded me of the uprising ball.  same type reaction but this one's just more colorful..

I LOOOOOOOOOOVE my 607A! Right now I have two drilled up, both pin up but ones is 6"inches from my pap and the other is around 5"inches... I cant get enough of these balls. The roll amazing on anything but real dry and of course the real oily conditions. Alot of people are going to hate these balls because their box surface doesnt do them justice. 75% of bowlers I think will indeed have to hit there 607A with some surface, and then repolish it or whatnot because they are so hit or miss off the dry.

This ball though is not intended for oil and alot of people dont take that into consideration. This thing hates oil and I really mean that. I think even with the stronger layouts that this thing will still be to hard off the spot. When the conditions is right, you wont match up any better than with this ball. Also has some great arse COLORS... Bottom line? GREAT BALL!!!!!!!! John

Sunset Strip (Shortened)

I got the 607A SE from watching about 10 different people throw the ball over about a months time. And finally decided to get one myself. I was impressed on how the ball rolled through the heads, how easy it rev'd up, how the ball finished, and the strong carry i was seeing.

Drilled the ball to be smooth for me. And was very impressed on how it did on the lane. Rolled down the lane nice, and had a great finish into the pocket and has some amazing carry.

Its a very versatile ball. and a must have for anyones arsenal or any die hard "Track" fans. This is a ball you dont want to miss out on. And plus it just looks so nice going down the lane

Awesome ball by "Track"

607A SE

My stats are in my profile.

Drilling: 5" pin to pap under bridge, 45* cg kick with 3/4" hole on pap, MB about 2" right of thumb.

Surface prep:4000 abralon, no polish.

After watching a few locals in my area throw this thing i had to get one. One thing i noticed was the easy length it got on THS, so i opted to go to 4000 abralon to neutralize some of the over/under i saw from others using this ball.

Initial impressions: Even at 4000 and no polish this ball still gets plenty of length, and a nice long backend motion. The ball reads the lanes easily, and is gonna be the first ball out of my bag on most THS's at the moment. This ball for me takes hand adjustments really well, and when i have to move say 3-2 or more left when i have to adjust it really gives me confidence that the ball will finish, where other pieces in my arsenal may labor with those moves.

This ball for me is one of those rare balls that i can stay with for a whole 3 game set. Carry is great, and i can play multiple areas with this one ball using simple hand/speed adjustments. This is my first Track piece in over 8 years, so far im satisfied. I think this ball will be good for most any style bowler as long as they tune the cover to suit their ball speed. I can see those with higher ball speeds struggle with this piece is the surface isnt right for them.

Well, I am a tweener and have used nothing but Storm products for the last several years. I decided to try dropping to a 14 lb ball to increase my speed and maybe pick up a couple of REV's. I decided to try the Track 607A and I am very impressed. I used drilling #1 and first night right OOB I shot 648. No practice, no nothing. I have increased my last years league average 6 pins since using this ball. It rolls easy, turns hard and whacks the pins! I have a 300C on order and I think it will be great when the heads go away! GREAT BALL TRACK!

Have been a speed dominant bowler for many years, but the speed seems to have diminished somewhat (average speed down from approx. 17-19 mph to about 15-17)and with skimpy oil on the lanes recently, I saw a need to fill a gap in my arsenal between the more aggressive stuff (Hammer Raw Anger, Storm Virtual Gravity, Storm Xtreme, etc.) and plastic.  So far Track's 607A SE seems to be the answer.

Despite being an experienced bowler, I don't use a lot of the technical terms, but will describe as best I can:

Am right-handed, and ball is drilled pin up (just over the ring finger). Oob finish, 15 lbs, and is a standard drilling (not Sarge Easter, Rico. etc.).

Wanted something similar to my Columbia Bedlam, which this is, but it goes longer and comes back harder.  Part of that could be the ball being newer, however I bowled 28 games with it last night (yes...  in one night--- a record in excess even for me!), and although the lanes were completely burnt at the end, this ball still got far enough down the lane for a good entry angle and then snapped into the pocket with authority (except at times when the operator got lazy and eased up a bit on the speed**).

**Only caution would be that it hits so hard sometimes that it doesn't mix enough and leaves splits (a few 4-9's).  But this was more of a problem in the first 3 or 4 games after which I learned to trust exactly when and where it's break point would occur.

My first Track ball ever, and I love it!

Hope this review is useful despite the lack of technical data.

I have bought and completely used up a good amount of newer release track balls.
Kinetic Energy
Kinetic Pearl
715a
505c
505a
I work in a bowling alley so I've also thrown a lot of there others.
So far Track seems to have put out a lot of GREAT balls I was especially impressed with the 715a and 505a.

The 607a is probably my least favorite ball from Track so far
Drilled pin over ring or #4. The balls reaction was not to my liking so I plugged and re drilled with a more custom drilling.

My average is + or - 220 in a few leagues which is normal and I have not had a series under 600 with it. You might think that doesn't sound to bad but something is just not right with this ball I strongly believe the weight block is f$%#ed up. Some guys believe that the re drilling might have screwed the core up by removing to much block material but... I don't think so. 2 of my classic drills reacted poor especially the first.

I myself and going to probably not leave Track just yet for this single incident but if you have had an experience like mine already maybe you should think twice. Also this ball did not come with the microfiber cleaning bag which I have plenty of but... kinda the principle.

Age: 29

Average: 233 (House Shot), 215 (Sport Shot)

Style: Tweener

Ball Speed: 18mph in the heads

RPM: 380 - 450 (depending on the shot)

Layout: Pin above the middle finger and MB about 2 inches right of the thumb.

Surfaces thrown: 2000 and Box

Patterns Thrown On:
Second Shift Late League

Kegel Main Street

PBA Viper

I purchased this ball knowing that a lot of people had reservations about the ball. While it has been a condition specific ball for me, it has still been a good purchase. Overall, I have discovered the weakness with this ball is that you can't use it on high friction surfaces. When the ball is used on lanes with large amounts of built in friction the ball gets to angular at the breakpoint and you can't control the reaction down lane. Basically you end up playing the never ending game of chasing it left if you use it on the wrong pattern. I am going to try changing the under grit of the ball to 4000 and see if this takes out some of the over reaction down lane.

The correct place to use this ball is on low friction surfaces and sport shots, because this ball does nothing but create hold and area down lane. I have only been able to use the ball on Kegel Main Street at a low friction center known for turning house shots into sport shots and PBA Viper. On the hosue shot I can use this ball all three games if the surface is take down to 2000. On Viper this ball really shined. I was able to use it at the box surface for all three games, and the ball just created miss on it's on 2 boards right. Do you know what 2 boards of miss on a sport shot can do for your score? It's the reason I shot 300 with it the first night out on Viper.

In the end, I understand why people have qualms with the ball, but when used on the correct surface the ball makes the lanes play ridiculously easy. This like the other Track balls are own are amazing because basically I just need to release the ball cleanly and I always know it's going to make the turn back.
