- Description:
Manufacturer’s Intent: The concept behind the design and creation of our latest 900 series release was one that was quickly agreed upon. Our goal was to create a ball that simply out hooked and performed every ball ever made in the history of Track. This was no small task but one that R & D quickly accepted and accomplished.
Core: The Legion 2 Turbo core is back. This core creates easy revs while storing plenty of energy for the back end of the lane and most importantly the pins. Whether wrapped with a shiny or dull cover, the Legion 2 Turbo core provides the perfect entry angle through the pins.
Cover: The 912T features our brand new Gen ET (Extreme Traction) cover. The “Traction” this cover creates is out of this world. We accomplished this by taking our Gen XT (Xtra Traction) cover used on the popular 716T and slowly increased the “Traction” additives until we created the best cover to match up with heavy oil patterns.
Finish: In order to create the strong overall hook that was desired when creating the 912T, we decided to go with our newest finishing process. This process uses 1500 Abranet Soft as the last finishing step. Abranet Soft is a new type of sanding material that was developed to minimize clogging while sanding. The foam layer and open structure of Abranet Soft provides more flexibility and allows the material to follow surface contours more effectively.
Overall: Fear heavy oil no more. The Track 912T has arrived. The combination of our Legion 2 Turbo core and the brand new Gen ET (Extreme Traction) cover will give the competition “Hook Envy”. The 912T provides the most overall traction ever seen from Track.

Greetings!

I have used a lot of the 9 series balls and have found that they haven't been as aggressive as some of the other company's high performance balls. All I can say is that Track SHATTERED that problem with ease! I have now thrown this ball quite a bit and am amazed by not only how well it reads the mid-lanes, but how much it just keeps hooking.

I have a 55 x 5 x 45 layout on mine, and I have thrown it on everything from medium to heavy oil. I even tried it on a burnt up house shot, and had to slide left gutter cap with it, and it still continued on the backs and went through the pins well. I don't like hooking it that much, so I don't prefer it on dry but was surprised to not see it burn up when seeing the early friction.

I think its going to be Track's most popular high performance ball to date! It is the exact motion that league bowlers look for, and tournament bowlers look for on the medium to heavy conditions.I would highly recommend this ball to almost any style.

If anyone has any further questions about it feel free to email me at craigspencer292@gmail.com

Hey track fans And family let's talk a bit about the 912t. I believe this will definitely be the strongest 9 series ball yet, I threw it compared to my others and it's just insane. The ball motion is great it reads the mods like I wanted and does not quit down lane this ball is a "truck". I even drilled one 45x6 1/4x30 and the ball clears the fronts great but makes it all up on the back end. If you loke your 716t then you definitely want the stronger addition. Even if you haven't bought a 716t or don't match up well with it you will love the 912t. This ball is a beast definitely a just have.

COMMENTS
Carry - The first nine shots off of the drill press I struck, the 10th shot rung a ten pin. So I will call it 9/10 on carry, but more than likely the tenth shot was operator error. see for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfp3plShz5g
Likes - The goal at Track was to create the most aggressive ball that they had ever released. I feel that this was successfully achieved. This ball is great in heavy oil, something that Track had been missing.
Dislikes - This ball picks up a bunch of oil, so be prepared to keep moving left.

Other -I know that I sound biased, because I am a Track staff member, but the truth is that I am lucky to be a member of their team. I approached them because I have never scored better with any other brand, and i've tried them all. If I had to choose one brand to throw exclusively it had to be Track.
This ball truly is a grand slam from the guys at Track. Rich Hanson is doing amazing things in Hopkinsville.

LANE CONDITION

Length: 39'

Volume: medium to medium-heavy amount of volume, quick breakdown

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): Modified USBC OC pattern (Baton Rouge, 2012, adjustment = decreased volume outside of 5 by 50%)

COMMENTS

Likes: The 912T offers a very strong coverstock designed to be the strongest in Track's current line (accomplished!) while having a core that still allows the ball to retain energy. I went 50x5x35 with the layout, giving me a very similar pin and MB placement as a Hell Raiser Revenge that I had prior to signing with Track - the 912T offers a stronger coverstock that will handle oil just as well if not better than the HRR, and offers a more controlled (but strong!) arc at the end of the pattern, allowing you to stay with a stronger hand position and keep the ball in your hand for a longer period of time

I can see this ball being used on heavier volumes of oil or longer patterns such as Shark and Scorpion on the fresh, and going pin up or adding a touch of polish will help the ball retain more energy when the head oil starts to disappear

Dislikes: My only dislike is that I have not drilled a second one yet - the next layout will be a longer pin-to-pap but pin down, and with a smoother surface (will take the ball to 4000 grit abralon before drilling to allow it to retain more energy)

The 912T HOOKS more than the other 9 series releases. It by far stronger than the 716T and is very readable. The setup on my 912T is 75 X 4 1/2 X 70 and the Xhole is on my P3 and the ball is at 2000 grit. I still have a 930T that I use on occasion because of how early it sets up... the 912T is stronger and more continuous than the 930T. It just keeps going. I think when I drill my next one it will be pin over the fingers about 5 1/2 from PAP to give me more length. The 912T does need oil in the fronts but it is an oil ball!!!! A must have in your bag!

Likes:This ball is a monster using the drilling #2 off the Track drilling sheet it hooks about three to four more boards then my 716t drilled the same way. Using it with the box finish the ball would hook from anywhere ,polished with powerhouse factory finish and hit it with 3000 abralon pad and got through the heads much easier with just as much hook on the backend.Cant wait till I can use it in a tournament

Wow is all I can say about this ball!! I absolutely love the Turbo 2core so I couldn't wait to get this ball in my hand. Omg when I did this ball is by far the strongest ball I have thrown in a few years! And as strong as it is, even when the lanes start breaking down it still doesn't quit. The first night I threw it in league I had 780, and threw it all three games. A stone 9 the 9th frame of the last game cost me 800. Needless to say it was still driving hard. For someone needing a strong ball with super strong finish, your not going to find a better ball.

Likes: LOTS OF HOOK!!!!! This ball is a winner, that's for sure. This ball out hooks EVERYTHING that Track currently offers which is exactly what you would expect from this ball. This ball rev's really well in the midlane and has great continuation through the pins. I was not expecting this much overall hook from this ball when I drilled it but holy cow does this thing read the pattern no matter how much oil is present. Layout was 45 x 4.75 x 65, thinking that the midlane read would help blend it out and I would be able to play tighter to the pocket. I was off on that though because even though the midlane was about what I was expecting, the way this ball comes off the spot really shocked me. I can open the lane up quite a bit relative to other balls I have put this same layout on. If you need a hook monster this upcoming tournament season look no further because you wont get a ball better than this!!!

I have throw all the 9 series ball by Track all the other 9 series seem to burn up in the fronts and have no energy on the back. I used most of my 9 balls on the burn or short patterns.

But the 912T has cured that I had it drilled with a 6 1/2 pin from my pap hit it with 4000 aborlon then polished it, the ball gets down the lane and then has smooth reaction on the back. And hits very hard.

Likes:  Tons of hook.  Very versatile on different patterns.

Dislikes:  Almost too much hook on some of the shorter patterns.

This ball is simply amazing.  I cannot get over the fact of how much it hooks.  This ball is easily the most hooking ball that Track has produced yet.  I have thrown this ball on every condition from your THS to the Shark and Scorpion patterns and haven't found a condition that it doesn't dominate.  I almost feel like no matter where I throw it, it will hook back.  If you are looking for a ball that is versatile on many different lane patters and will give you that miss room that you are looking for, look no further than the 912T!

Likes: Well you guys asked for a 9 series that really hooked and now you have it this ball doesn't stop it is the most continuous ball in the 9 line i thought the 919c continued and let you move you feet and not lose any carry the 912t blows it away i have it about 4-5 boards stronger then the 716t which up to now is my favorite ball. right off the press i just knocked the bumps with a 400o pad and let the it roll. if your looking for a ball that HOOOOOOKS then look no further go get yourself a 912t.

I would recommend the 912T. On a house shot the 912T is strong in the back and, as a tweener, I can either play up the boards or move in with it. I currently have my 912T with the pin below the fingers and a light shine.

Likes: WOW!  Track made a winner with the 912T.  Very strong ball, designed for heavy oil, and heavy oil ONLY!  Drilled mine 50 x 4 1/2 x 70.  This ball wants to hook instantly off my hand.  This ball has a lot of midlane hook, and gives a strong and smooth arc once it sees friction.  Definitely much stronger than any other Track ball to date, I think the 716T would probably be the closest ball to the 912T.  I was only able to use this ball for one game in a team tournament, as it was too early and was dead at 40 feet.  If you need a ball that will handle longer and heavy volume patterns, consider the 912T.

Ball:    912T
Layout:    70 x 5.5 x 60 – Pin below ring finger
Surface:    2000 Abralon

Comments
I removed the factory polish and went to 2000 abralon to be the first ball out of the bag on fresh house shot. The ball gets through the heads nicely and is very strong off the break point.  The carry is great but it needs to be put away when the track burns up.  Another great ball from Track.
