Archetype – Various house patterns

Pin in ring finger, MB inch from the thumb hole Positive Axis Point 4 3/8 right 1/2 up.

Before I rolled with the Archetype I hoped it would roll similarly to the Strata Solid but have a little more punch.  YES, it does, I bowled with the Archetype out of box and was able to see how early the Archetype can be.  I then started to play around with speed control just to see if I could get it way up the lane before it used up to much energy.  Not a bad look for those that like the box surface and have speed or low rev rate.  I can see this being a nice addition to a variety of bowlers.  I changed the surface after a few games to see if the versatility was still there, I went with my go to ball surface 1000/2000/3000/4000 I have to say the Archetype still has that punch no matter what surface is on the ball.  I love the direction change, it’s not that mean movement and it isn’t lazy almost just right.  I was able to also see where the Archetype can stand up right away when the spot is beaten up over time.  That was no problem moving in and allowing the Archetype to shape and get through the pins was fun to watch.  The Archetype is one of those bowling balls you might want to find the surface that will give you the most games within one set.  It is that good you will not want to put it down.

The archetype surprised me with how versatile it was for a bigger ball. I was able to play tight on long patterns but also get deeper when needed and the ball did not disappoint.

Archetype:  This high RG solid from Track should be in every tournament bag. The Archetype has the new I-core Slim which revs up later and gives a more versatile reaction as the lanes transition. The solid cover is strong and smooth and compliments the core motion flawlessly. Strong enough for heavier oil patterns, clean enough for transition control to maintain the pocket as the pattern moves left. The Archetype is a must have.
