by far the best ball i have drilled in years. HAVE drilled 2 so far 1 according to the speed dominant layout with the mass bias strong at 75 degrees. the second I drilled over the label with the pin above and between the fingers for more length. The first is truly the best roll I have seen. nice early and predicatable roll with a strong continuous backend. hits like a truck... i just last weekend used the strong drilling ball and won my first big buck tournament against a truly strong field. i swear by this ball in fact just ordered 2 more today..great job track!!!!! ball demoilishes oour house shot and did the same to the tournament pattern. i would say the only thing you couldnt use it on was burned heads or light oil...big props to Track on this gem

Layout: pin 5" from PAP below the ring finger with MB 5" from PAP and no weight hole. This is the same layout as my Machine so I will compare the two.

The Power Machine has good length with a strong backend snap. It is much stronger off the dry than the Machine but only slightly longer than the Machine. As is typical on most house shots, I can hit the pocket with both balls without moving me feet or target, but the path the two balls take is different enough to make it worth having both balls.

On nights when I am not getting enough recovery from the right with my Machine, the Power Machine fills in very nicely. On other nights I can get an over-under reaction with the Power Machine and the Machine will be the ball of choice.

Overall I like the entire Machine line very much. The original Machine was the first ball out of my bag up to this latest release. Now it is a toss up and I let the lanes tell me which ball will give me the best results each night.

The Power Machine is one of those balls that you just have to have in order to have a full arsenal. This ball is great for the late games of a tournament and playing deep inside. I have mine drilled with the pin above the ring finger about 4 1/2 inches from my PAP. This ball gives effortless length and strong smooth back-end reaction. The coverstock can be tweaked for more or less reaction. I have seen people dull the coverstock and play with the power machine on some heavier lane patterns. However it is best suited for medium to medium dry lane conditions. This ball works wonderful on normal house patterns as well because it doesn't jerk when it hits the dry. Overall another great piece from Track.

This is the strongest back end ball that I have ever thrown.  I have 1 drilled with the pin 4 1/2" from my pap above the fingers and the MB 5 3/8".  This ball gives me a great skid flip reaction on a medium oil pattern, good ball to follow the oil line in with and not lose hitting power.  The other one is drilled 3 1/2" from my pap below the fingers with the MB at 5".  I also hit the surface with a 2000 abralon pad.  This one will handle the heavier side of medium oil to the lighter side of heavy oil.  It gives me a strong arcing reaction and doesn't bounce off the dry like the other one.  I get two very different reactions from these two drillings and I believe this ball can handle a wide variety of patterns with a little surface adjustment.  This is a must have ball in any serious bowlers arsenal.

Killer ball...This ball  akes bowling FUN again. Great length and a WOWZA backend reaction with no squirt. I have a heavier rolling setup in mine and I love it. I even had enough length to use it on a 28 foot shot from back in the eighties in my challenging shot league...granted i was using every inch of lane I could find and it did go jersey a few times but it was a BLAST to watch a ball run like that. All in all I would have to say it was DEFINATELY a worthwhile investment and Im so glad I switched manufacturers to all Track. Mad Props to my boss and friend, Brian Krantz ( affectionately known as Chief B.K.) at Garden Spot Bowling Center in Strasburg, Pa. If your finding some of the newer equipment coming out lately to be falling WAY short of thier hype and your expectations....get one of these...you wont be dissapointed.

I have drilled lots of balls and this is the first in years that I have been pleased with with only a factory finish.

House shot medium with good head oil, ball drilled 12oclock stacked with pin over the ring finger. I have problems with factory finish on pearls because of my ball speed at about 19.5 mph. This ball was great for me with great transition and smooth endless reaction. With a few practice balls just to get my old body working I shot 699 shooting 274 with a 6 count fill ball on my last shot of the night after the lanes opened up. Bumper bowling at it's finest and I loved it not confusing skill with a good open shot and a great ball in my hands. My problem has always been throwing the ball harder and harder as the night goes on but with this ball no squirt like my ONE that I gave to a fellow league member to clear a spot for the new weapon.

I have been a Track guy since track was independent back in the day of the Enforcers but I have not had a new Track in about four or five years. For Some reason I have always got good hit from Track equipment.

Great ball, great reaction, great hitting power, beautiful looking! I think I'll buy another with some sort of roll drilling...

Track Power Machine
Weight: 15#
Pin: 3-4"
Top Weight: 2.75 oz

Layout:
4 3/4" Pin Above the Ring Finger. CG kicked out 1.5". MB 5" away from PAP. Weight Hole just below PAP.

Picture: http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=4002911
Video: http://media.putfile.com/Track-Power-Machine

First Impressions:
The hype behind the Power Machine is that this ball is an Equation on steroids. I agree with this statement 100%. The Power Machine gets very decent length and has crazy backend when it touches the dry.

General Thoughts:
I have been able to use this ball on oil conditions ranging from heavy to medium. The Power Machine handles light to mid medium carry down very well also. I had the ball punched up with the layout stated for decent length and backend reaction off the dry.

Comparison and Contrast:

Power Machine vs. Mean Machine
The Mean Machine is about 2-4 boards stronger overall. The Meanie reacts smooth as silk off the dry while the Power Machine makes a more angular entry into the pocket. The Power Machine has more length and more backend overall though. I usually pull the Power Machine out when the Meanie is leaving flat tens and the pocket angle is usually weak.

Power Machine vs. Equation
The Power Machine is about 2-4 boards stronger overall. Both balls are similar with an angular shape reaction but the Power can handle a tad bit more oil. The Equation however fits as THE BENCHMARK ball in my arsenal!

Power Machine vs. Machine
The regular Machine starts revving up alot sooner in the mid lane. The Power Machine gets more length down lane before it starts to turn up. My Machine has a very archy reaction shape while the Power Machine is designed for more pop on the backend. The Machine is about 2-3 boards stronger overall due to its particle coverstock thus can handle more oil.

Final Conclusion:
I feel a bowler on a THS could get the Power Machine and Equation as a great 1-2 combo. The Power Machine delivers great length and keeps delivering with its backend reaction. The Power Machine is also a great step down from the Meanie when it becomes too much ball for the lanes. I am definitely impressed with this piece! TRACK! YOU JUST CAN'T BEAT THAT!

Strarted with #14.3 3oz top and 3.5pin.

Drilled 5.5 by 3.5 w/pin above bridge

This layout gives me a smooth transition through the oil and strong reaction off the dry playing an inside line. My center recently purchased a new Kegel machine and is putting out heavy oil in the middle.

Track Power Machine:

Ball Specs
The ball being drilled was a 2” pin out with 3.00 oz top weight.
Drilling: Pin 4" from PAP and Mb 45 degree angle or 4 1/4" from my pap. Pin is below ring finger, 1 3/4" above grip midline. Weight Hole on my axis. Surface: Factory 3000 compound.

Bowler Information:
Track diameter is 10 1/2.
PAP is measured at 5 1/4 over and 3/8" up.
Average ball speed (foul line to head pin) is 17 mph.
Axis rotation is typically 90 degrees
Initial rev rate is typically 300 rpm, "Tweener"
Lane Condition and Pattern:
AMF Bowlero, HPL 9000 Panel. AMF West: Also HPL 9000. Oil Pattern: Medium Heavy Oil and slightly clean back ends at Bowlero. Dry outsides oily insides with clean back ends at AMF WEST.

Review.
What a impressive ball. At Amf West I can swing this ball 3rd arrow to anywhere and it comes back with a smooth but strong motion and kills the pins. I shot 258 out of the box with the ball. At AMF Bowlero, much more oil, I was able to use this ball from a down and in line up 2nd arrow to shoot a 299 game 1/19/07 with a cold 9 as my 12th shot. One of the hardest hitting balls I've thrown. As long as you have friction to swing to or clean backends the ball is deadly. Carry down or flood conditions, the ball is simply not enough, unless you have the revs of Wes Malott. All styles will love this ball when used on the right condition. Best Track ball I've thrown.

Thanks for reading my review.

This ball, simply put, is no joke.  At first, I had mine drilled stack leverage until I saw there was little to no difference between that and my Mean Machine.  I then went to a more long and strong layout: http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=5210291

After some tweaking in my game, and getting used to the new layout,  I've not shot less than 720 since(league and practice).  The last of the Machine line, and I honestly believe the saved the best for last.  I have maintained the 3000 grit polished finish, and has for the most part single-handedly improved my game.  I averaged 185 before it, and ended the season at 208 with it.

In regional action, this ball worked very well on the Scorpion pattern-I just wish I would have went to that earlier in the 8-game block.  This is a ball I believe everyone should have in their arsenal.

Power Machine Layout:
PAP: 5 1/2"
Pin: 3.5"-4"
Pounds: 14lbs.
Layout: Pin above bridge 5 1/2" from PAP. MB 1" right of thumb hole 4" from PAP. Weight hole drilled on VAL.
Surface: OOB w/polish
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k13/killing_machine76/games.jpg

With much success with the Mean Machine, I've been waiting and waiting to get a Power Machine and after almost giving up finding one, I was able to get one and I have to say that this ball definitely has power. Sorry that I don't have a video this time but if you've seen all the other PM videos, then you know how much backend this ball has.

Done all my practice with this ball on wood lanes and on different lane conditions, found it best on medium oil at transition. On fresh THS oil, it can be pretty squirty and not enough friction for it to move on the med/heavy oil at OOB surface if the oil's out beyond 38ft.. Playing it out and in around the 10 board wasn't that bad but I did have to lower my ball speed and position my hand at 4:00 like I do with my other heavier oil balls.

Now this is where this balls shows true potential. On fresh THS shot, I used the Mean Machine at 500 dull for about 6-8 games to open up the lanes. Then once the MM got too strong from the transition, threw the Power Machine at 18-20 board and the 10 board being the breakpoint. This ball is beyond flippy on the backend, just crushes the pins with great length through the heads and midlane. When it's like this, I really had to keep my hand behind the ball, otherwise, it goes brooklyn way out. What I was mostly amazed at was how well it has room for error even if I miss my mark by a few board and the carry is simply phenomenal. It handles carrydown well but not like a particle pearl ball could do it. It's longer than my Action Attack but with alot more backend. My scores are much higher using the PM medium oil or transition as opposed to fresh oil.

Light oil? Forget about it unless you like throwning it from around the 25-30 board range.

I am looking very forward to using this ball ball along with the Mean Machine for league this fall. Not only do I think that with these 2-ball combo my average will be back in the 210s but also I'm going to have fun doing it. Track did a very good job with this ball and if you're still looking for a Power Machine, get one before they're all gone.

I bought this ball about half way through the 06-07 season.  From the start, I really liked the length this ball has,its back end movement and the way it finishes.  It hits the pins with a tremendous amount of force.  I don't crank the ball and throw with average to above average speed depending upon the lane conditions and generally play between first and second arrow.  Both houses in which I bowl league are medium to heavy oil. Any help I can get from the ball is greatly appreciated and this ball is a great weapon in my arsenal which currently includes a Morich Awesome Hook and Brunswick Rampage.  I definitely recommend this ball to anyone who strokes the ball and is looking for a ball with good length and a strong back end.

Here's my update on this ball. I had my PAP remeasured at 5 1/3" and 1 1/8" up and this ball is simply an outstanding skid/flip ball. I've been using this ball in my league once the lanes starts to open up and been playing it around the 18 board to 8 board as the breakpoint. Tremendous carry like the Mean Machine and as long as I don't encounter too much carrydown, this is my go-to ball when I need the length and backend to get all ten down. All you need is some polish on this ball and watch it bounce off the dry area. Great ball by Track!
