Taking your game to the next level requires a ball that balances power with control. The Solution Power Plus uses a lower flare version of the Elite core. The medium flare potential of the core produces a strong, but predictable, backend hook motion. The 800-grit sanded Power Plus reactive resin is a proven winner, and the surface texture can be modified for earlier hook for those with faster ball speeds.

Solution PP - I drilled this ball with a 1.5 in pin from my axis with the balance hole on my axis. I left the surface the original box finish (1000 sand). I drilled this ball specifically for over/under and shorter PBA patterns. This ball rolls off my hand very quickly and has a very smooth move on the backend. Even though the ball starts quickly it still rolls through the pins and has great hit and carry.

Both of these new balls from Track provide premium performance with a very reasonable price tag. Remember I drilled these balls VERY condition specific. These cores are very versatile and can be drilled for almost any condition. Just more great equipment from Track.

I am a die hard Dynothane man myself. Ido however have the solution and I must sau DAMN! It is drilled very basic. 5X5.5 It made the turn read the condition and will be a big bang for your buck.

It also compliments my Black which was designed form the same great core Phil!

Drilled for Track staff Jay Cruz I layed this out with 4 1/2 PAD cg in the palm and 3.5 above the midlind. This ball is a serious bang for the buck. We matched this ball against the Arsenal Reactive and it was about 2-3 boards less. This ball is great for medium to some heavier oil conditions.

Well people I am back for the awaited review on the Solution, to all of you that do not know this ball is the remake of the Triton Elite. lets start with the drilling, pin 5", cg 3 1/2", pin above midline 3". Balance hole 4" across 2 1/2" deep 7/8 drill bit. This ball is a must have for everyone, this ball is just unbelievable the ball rolls so even through the entire lane, very strong in the backends. This ball gets the pins moving across the entire deck, there is no mercy when this ball hits the pins. The ball is great through the fronts as long as the heads arent burnt, great read in the mids and lots of energy for the backs. Its hard not to put this ball in your hands this ball is just awesome, I have talked to couple other staffers as well and they love the ball too.... Great Compliment to the Solution EX, Xception, and the Slash.... And yes people if you loved the Original Triton Elite, then this is a must have ball in your bag.... Well people that is my review for the Solution stay tunned for the review on the Solution EX and Arsenal Reactive... I am outtie from Canada people!!!!!

Ball:
Pin 4 1/2 from PAP slightly above and right of ring finger, CG stacked below. I tried it with both the surface OOB and with light coat of Magic Shine.

Lane Conditions:
I have used the Solution PP on many different lane conditions and surfaces.

HOOK:
Heavy Oil- It is not quite enough for the heavier stuff, but not far off. With the OOB finish It would work pretty good, but I prefer particle on heavier patterns.
8.5 out of 10

Medium- This is where I intended to use this ball, but since the OOB finish is 900 grit I had to apply some Magic Shine and it worked like charm. This ball is just as great as the Slash to read a pattern. It doesn't overreact off of the dry and it doesn't sail in the oil.
9 out of 10

light- Even with the Magic Shine I couldn't imagine being able to use this ball on a lighter pattern, that is why they made the Solution PP EX.
4 out of 10

Total Hook:
With identical surfaces the Solution PP is an eyelash weaker than the Slash. It will handle the heavier side of mediums or lower side of heavy very well. Stay away from the extremes.....dry and floods and you will be fine!
8.5 out of 10

Control:
This ball sets itself aside here. Once again, it doesn't overreact off of dry and doesn't skid too far on oil.
9 out of 10

Expected Reaction:
When I drilled this up I figured a dull ball with what usually tends to be a longer layout for me would work well. I was correct. With what I bowl on most of the time though I decided I needed a tad more length.

Impact:
The Solution PP hits hard, but not overly hard. This is a good thing because often times throwing a ball that hits too hard can result in back row leaves. It hits perfectly for a "benchmark" ball.
8 out of 10

Readability:
I really like this ball to read the lanes with. It falls exactly in the same "benchmark" slot that the Slash could. You see a nice smooth roll and it starts to transition as soon as it goes from heavy oil to buff and to dry.
9.5 out of 10

Strengths:
Reads a pattern very well! Tames down Over/Under. For a league bowler this ball is going to be all that you should need.

Weaknesses:
The Extremes! Floods and Deserts will not allow the Solution PP to do its job.

Placement:
I place this ball below the Arsenal Reactive and above the Heat in Track's current lineup.

Comments:
With the Solution Series you are going to be hard pressed to find better equipment for your dollar than either the Solution PP or SOlution PP EX. The Solution PP is a ball (along with the Slash) that tends to catch the eye of some of the fellas that had the Original Triton Elite!

Pap – 5 over 3/4 up, rotation 45-50 degrees, speed 14-15, weight 14lbs
Layout 3x2.5 with the pin 3 above mid line, weight hole 27/32 x 2 1/4 deep 6 1/4 inches away on midline, 1200 grit finish with a coat of Clean and Sheen

Testing conditions: 2nd shift synthetics left over medium heavy but drier heads and spotty oil all over.  Track gets a little dried out and early.

Readability and Hook: This ball was very strong out of box so I decided to smoothen it out some.  Applied a coat of Clean and Sheen so it has a mild shine to it now.

After I made the cover adjustment, the ball read med to med lite oil very well.  It turns in the midlane where I want and continues with a nice gradual movement to the pocket.  I bowl 2 second shift leagues this winter so this ball has been my first ball out of the bag to help combat the spotty oil that’s left over.  By taking a stronger cover ball and coating it, it has allowed me to get a very good read on the current conditions.

Control: With the 3x2.5 layout, it pulls a little earlier with quicker revs and helps stabilize the backends, very nice.

Hit: The hit is was still very good for a ball that arcs into the pins.

Overall: Great reaction for the condition, typically this ball is a pretty strong hooking ball OOB but with my cover adjustment and layout, I made it into more of a controlled reaction for medium conditions.  Works very well for me. I don’t like mentioning scores but I shot a 300 with this ball At Dublin Bowl in Dublin, CA. 10/25/05.

Drilled pin above fingers with the cg slightly to the right.  Pretty aggresive out of box with a smooth arc to the pocket.  Just lightly hit it with polish to break the surface.  Very nice predictable ball reaction.  Good ball to tackle your typical house pattern as it won't jump off the dry but it still rolls good in oil.  Not a big back end reaction but hits strong enough if you have drier back ends.

Track Solution Power Plus
Weight: 15#
Pin: 3"
Top Weight: 3.50 oz

Layout:
5" Pin Above the Ring Finger. No Weight Hole necessary.

First Impressions:
WOW! First game I threw with it in league I had the front 10. Tremendous success with this ball thus far!

Solution Power Plus vs. Solution Power Plus EX:
When I first obtained the Solution, the first thing I did was compare it to its counterpart, the EX. The Solution wrapped in the solid shell is much more smoother through the heads and has a very smooth arc to the pocket. Whereas the EX goes about 3-5 feet longer before making a dramatic snap on the backend.

Best Conditions:
I have used this on a fresh house shot starting out playing direct, as the heads became more loose I made a small adjustment by moving my feet left and playing where the track allowed me too. It is possible for me to throw this ball for a three game set. I have had complete success with this ball from a fresh house shot to medium conditions where the heads broke down and carry down came into play. This ball is NOT good for dry lanes. I bowled with it on a toasted shot where a great deal of carry down was present and the ball over/undered a lot.

Final Thoughts:
This ball carries great when it touches the pocket, ten pins are rare but come up every now and then as with all equipment. I chose the same layout for this ball that I did on my EX because I knew I would be able to get two different reaction shapes. The Solution series is another great innovation from Track! For bowlers looking to start bringing more hook to their game, the Solution is a great step up from beginner equipment such as Scouts, Tornados, etc. This ball is step below my Arsenal Reactive and a step above the Solution EX.

This is the first ball i have owned made by Track....

I got it label drilled (5 x 5 from PAP with the pin under ring , and the CG 2 inches under that).

Rolls well, revs up early for me, but still skids through the oil.
Very Very smooth on the dry OR the oil. I've had mine polished and dulled, and it works really well.

Good Ball...
Grade: B+

This is the only ball i own that is made by track. This ball is good for the bowler that has very good control and maderate ball speed. If your ball speed is very high u might as well use it as a spare ball. Thats why it didnt fit me.

This ball is a beast.Since ive gotten ive averaged kno less tha a 208 and kno
less than 215 in tournament play.I suggest that if u dont have one of these balls
for medium oil shots or even for when the lanes break down and u play tha big hook
this ball is one to get!
