Ball is drilled, Pin 4-1/2 inches, cg is 3-1/2 form positive axis point
Righthanded, above average revs, med. ball speed
This has so far been a very good ball for the condition in our league, which
has been more of a wet dry, with not much blend. Ball is very easy to get thru the heads to the break point. What has suprised me is the power it has from the break point thru the pin deck. It does not jump when it makes it's move which is a very hard arc, carries corners very well. Have bowled from dry to fresh house shots. The ball just flat out works on many conditions. Price is in the Ti messenger range. Incredible perfomance for the money!

Track has a ball that is friendly for all bowlers!

I drilled our HEX label leverage with the pin above the ring finger for length and CG about 1" from the grip center, NO wt. hole required. 4X4 Drilling from PAP. This drilling provides for great length and a strong arching hook finish!

Out of the Box I would say this ball suits Med. to Dry lanes the best!

With a strong arching hook this ball will adapt to a large range of lane conditions! Excellent ball for spare shooting!

The Hitting power is GOOD! I see much better hit from my Ceramic/Hard core balls but this ball fits the need of many bowlers who have over reacting lanes!

I recommend this ball to everyone and expect it to do well in the Track Line!

Left Handed, Medium to high revs, ball speed between 17-18.  I drilled this ball
with the pin at 11 o'clock (1 o'clock for right handed).  I picked a ball with the pin out 3-4.  I left the coverstock "as is" out of the box. The reaction was amazing. The first ball I threw broke so late down lane I almost did not think it would come back, but when it did, WOW.  This is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a step up from the Messenger TI Pearl.  Good for dry to med lanes and med/heavy oil if you play down and in.  Don't expect it to react well on long heavy oil patterns.  Good Luck.

Track has a hit here with good combination of hit and length and
hook. I drilled mine 3 3/8 by 3 3/8 and it will get through the
heads cleanly and the breakpoint is strong and readable. Hit
compares to the Assasin. Great ball for the price.

Junior bowler, 7 years, high revs. right handed.
Saw way to many of my friends and coaches using this ball and scoring with it. Had to get it drilled up. Got it drilled my normal way, top weight for lenght and maximum backend. I tried it at first on fresh oil and it left to many corner pins, but did not give up. At a JBT in Maine, the shot was second shift,so i pulled this out and shot my first 800 out side of New York State.
9-xxxxxxxxxxx=279
 xxxxxxxxxxxx=300
xxxxxx9-9/xxxx=257, 836
that string of 29 in a row showed the carring power of this ball. Very smooth snap that was controllible, thought it was a great ball.

This is a great ball for the price. I have used Brunswick balls for 10 years and this ball was recommended to me by a pro. It is the first non-Brunswick ball I've used and I am greatly pleased with it. I got the pin 3 inches out and with 3oz top weight. Its drilled with the pin above the fingers for length. Shot 705 with it right out of the box on difficult lane conditions with no problems. The ball is easy to adjust to and I would rate it a 8 1/2 on a scale of 10.

I love this ball.  it gets through the heads so clean and revs up hard in the back end not quite giving you a snap but a real hard arc that leaves the pins in a daze.

Dont hate me because im good,
hate me because your not...

one word WOW. this ball has great carry it takes everything off the deck. i threw only a low600 with it but i love it. i had it drilled for medium to dry lanes and i did nothing to the coverstock. this ball makes its move very hard and explodes to the pocket. i was able to stand 8 letf of the center and throw over the 17th board and the ball reacted great. im right handed youth bowler and have midium to high revs. the pin placement on my ball is just below the middle finger. this is the first track ball ie thrown and i am very impressed

I am very particular when it comes to equipment. I always try to reserch what I'm purchaseing so I fill the voids in my arsenal. To start out I will give this ball a 10 for impact on my game. I am a High rev player with good speed.
I have never been immediatly impressed by a Ball as I have this One, In a 15 day span I have had 2 812's and a 300 game and 1 812 was the front 3 of 1091 for 4. I am still learning the balls limitations and have found that it is not all world all the time. even still I am Averaging 253.5 for the 22 games I've thrown with it. It has become the hottest selling ball at the center that I bowl in with over 20 balls in the 2 weeks since I recieved mine. Good Bowling and God Bless.

I'm not exactly sure of the layout on this ball, but I asked my local driller for a good amount of length before a snap at the end.
I'd consider myself in between a tweener and a stroker to give you a small idea of how I bowl.
And finally to the review.  Before I bought this ball, I considered the Cuda 2000 the most versatile ball man had ever created and I was gonna take that idea to my grave.  But even with that idea planted in my head I decided to try out a Hex.  A few of the guys I bowl with had em and it seemed worth the investment to drill one up.  So far I've taken it to 3 completely different houses with completely different oil patterns and I've scored extremely well at each place with the Hex.  I used it on a flooded condition at Masters & Queens for junior bowlers in my area.  I played down & in right over the 2nd arrow.  The Hex cleared the heads quite easily and had a nice small snap at the end right into the pocket.  My first set I shot a 699 (a new high for me), and a 663 second set for 1,362 total series.  So far I'm high qualifier with that.
At the two other houses I couldn't play as tight a line as the first one, but simple adjusting lead to strike after strike.
This ball makes it through the heads with ease, has a strong solid snap, and hits like a Mack truck going full speed.  I haven't found anything this ball can't do yet!
I'm not gonna give it the nood over the Cuda 2K in my book just yet, but its sure getting close.
Track put out a winner with this ball.  I predict that it'll be just as big as the Eraser was last year.  A mid-price ball that can be used anywhere.

HEX
Lanes: Synthetic, Oiled about 38-40 last 5 boards medium oil
Lane condition: Heavy Oil to Medium Oil.
Bowling style: Tweener but can play straight up or a deep swing line.
Fast speed, medium revolutions.
Ball: The HEX with 3“ Pin out, drilled 4“ X 2“, CG ¾” below grip mid line, BH 1 ½”  past the PAP.

Assessment:  Well I started bowling this ball on dry conditions and it worked decently. Then just for the H… of it I tried it on medium oil, bowling it as slowly as I could. Well low and behold this ball is a Saint in disguise not a HEX. It went long and then took a nice controlled hard hook to the pocket. Light hits, high hits and full pocket hits, no chance for the pins (take a bow and exit backstage) !!! Great ball for medium oil but as soon as it got drier the carry got worse, therefore I would say that it needs oil to get the rev-action going.

For control on medium lanes this is the best ball since the red Stomp(it was better on dry lanes).

I give this ball only a 9, because of the tendency to loose hitting power when the lanes get dry.

On medium oil this ball is a dream. Hits incredibly hard. Carrys 7 pin on 19 out of 20 shots. It has very good carry down on medium oil and a very strong finish.

But on dry lanes it simply is too much ball, it over reacts hard and is difficult to throw.

For the money is an excellent ball for the right condition

Decided to ball this ball after trading out a few balls with guys on this site.

The proceeds picked up this beautiful gem.

As far as coverstock this ball looks just like the stuff on the messenger ti pearl, but even prettier!  This ball on the alley reminds me a lot of the Ti messenger execept on the back, it creates less entry angle.  Louie on this site,
comments that if you start leaving back pins and you are on medium or lighter oil switch to this ball is dead on.

The specs on this ball for this medium rev softer speed lefty are the following.  Pin out 3 inches top weight starting 3.5.
Drilled 4 X 4.5 with no weighthole.

this ball will cover some boards if you hit dry too early and it creates a medium to longer skid down the lane.  Again there is plenty of hit but the
the entry angle is less than a messenger and a lot less than a rip or battle zone bullet.  Very shallow swing angles can be used.

My description would be to call this ball a cover strong(jumpy), core weaker ball.  I think if you've got your strong arsenal down, or for later games in a block this is a goody!!!

I got a 15 Lb. Hex with a 3-4 inch pin.  I decided to drill the ball label leverage.

This ball is awsome.  Control and Power.  It makes a great first ball out of the bag, It has a very strong roll and reads the lane very well.  It is not a big hooker, but it is usable on many conditions with speed and hand adjustments. It is probably the most versitile ball in my bag as far as that is concerned.  It also Hits like a truck.  corner pins are no problem.

The only weakness I could think of is that the ball might be a little weak in the hands of a tweener.  I am a cranker, and If i get a little weak with the ball it seems like it doesnt want to carry sometimes.  That would only be on Oil.  I think the ball would be great on medium or medium dry.

Overall,  a great ball at a great price.  Can beat the value for the money.
good ball to have in your bag.

specs: 15lb 3oz. Top 2 1/4 pin 0-1
Bowler Stats: Righthander; 17-19mph; tweener / moderate amount of hand

Drilled this one straight over the label with a slight shift of the cg..ended up a little on the negative side. With this type of inverted lightbulb core and this drilling this ball gets down the lane and turns hard. On fresh med to heavy oil the ball squirts past the breakpoint a bit much, but on some carrydown...watch out, this ball sets nice in the dry. Keeps the pins very low.

An 8 out of 10 from Track!!

This ball came to me by accident really. I was working at the local bowling center and it was behind our desk. It turns out that the guy that had it, didn't want it so he gave it to me. Damn am I glad he did. This ball clears the fronts unbelievably and once it hits the backends, it just turns to the pocket and doesn't stop. It's carry isn't too bad either. In other words, it hits very very hard. What I really like about this ball is that even though it goes real long, it starts up earlier than most of my other stuff. This is one of the better Track balls I have ever thrown period.

This ball is the best ball I have ever thrown.  I have a 15.4 lbs drilled with over the label, pin 3-4 and rolling it out of the box.  I am a long time league bowler with limited experience with new equipment.  The results I get from this ball are awsome!  It works for me.  Just let it go and it hunts for the pocket and delivers the altimate carry.  Best Christmas present I ever gave myself.  It's smooth on dry backends and gets there through the oil.  Thanks for the info on this ball from other reviewers, it made my choice easy.  I have a 290 with this ball and won most improved bowler in my League with a 15 pin increase.  Thank you Track for a supreme ball

I got this ball a couple of months back and it has the most backend I've ever seen. I won a scholorship tournament using this ball and I've had my highest sanctioned series with it. Now this ball doesn't have alot of hook but with the backend on this ball you don't need the hook. I'm giving this ball a ten and thank you Charlie's Pro Shoppe.

I recently purchased and drilled this ball out. All I can say is WOW!! I love this ball. It pretty much does all the work for you. I havent thrown any spectacular games with it YET, but I can say that this ball just finds the pocket no matter where you throw it. It seems to allow for a margin of error on your part and will still come back and crush the pocket. It hits hard and moves well. I use mine on med. conditions with a little carry down and it is great. It is drilled up with the pin to the right of my ring finger and the cg kicked out about 2". It has a weight hole as well. I love this ball and recommend it to anyone. This ball is versatile and will fit many different styles of players. Great ball from Track.

I got one used from the strikinmachine.  It got damaged during shipping but i took it out on the lanes today.  I longer oil pattern (7 to 7 to 45) with light loading and crisper backends.  I had to put the ball away after one game because the damage got too extensive (bridge falling apart) but got a good feel for it.

Ball is drilled the same as my predator that i love.  Pin below ring finger, cg stacked below.  2" pin.  Ball polished.

I hope all games with the ball are not like the one i threw, i feel as though a hex was put on me.  11 shots is in pocket for a 190.  Yes, a 190.  That included three pocket 7 10's, one in the third, fifth, and ninth all on the left lane.  The strange thing is that all the other shots were deck shattering blasts, only one other open due to tugging the ball (my fault) thru the nose for a split.

I really like the reaction though, long and boom.  Like my predator but for dryer conditions.  Compliment well.

But only one game on it, will have to update later.

Greatness

I Got my Hex about 10 months ago and i like it alot.  I have a 3-4 pin with pin just above my ring finger.  It performs well when playing outside and in heavy oil.  I suggest this ball for any bowler because it has many different possible shots no matter what type of bowler you are.  I give this ball lots of room and it always finds its way with lots of hitting power.  Either coming in light or a little high I like the way the TRACK hex performs.  I give it a 9-10

HEX-REVMASTER.....Used on 38' Christmas tree. Box condition.  Drilled with pin under ring, CG center of palm.  Low tracker.  Lives up to its name REVS.  Reads the dry not early but not late.  Pretty good recovery.  Hit is weak with any sign of carry down.  If they are awarding points for biggest hook on dry backends, this one will do.   Other than that??????

Hex, 15 lbs, 3 oz of tw, 2-3 inch pin.

Drilled stack leverage. I use this ball when I practice and I also used it on a 33ft sport pattern. Control, control, control. Thats all this ball is. I think its a great introductory level ball due to its control. Not in anyway intended for heavy oil or a moderate amount of medium oil unless there are violent backends to pull the Hex out of its skid. All in all another great ball from Track. The hit is good and I have NEVER seen this ball rollout. Real continous move just doesnt stop.

Drilled up w/my favorite set up w/out the extra hole, this ball rolls early, and snaps late, similar to my 2nd tko w/out the big hook. This ball doesn't like oil, i love it on med. Tends to be a bit snappy on dry, and slides on oil. Speed control is a must, very easy to throw this ball threw the break point. Great ball for the price, I'm looking forward to throwing the voodoo and hextream. this was a great replacement for my too light, cracking trition elite pearl.
The pleasure has been yours.

Had relagated this ball to my tournament only bag, but found myself using it this evening in league so I found it my duty to post my review of this ball.

This ball ROCKS!  Bowled this evening on a medium lane condition about 35 ft standard 10 to 10 pattern for the house I bowl in.  Played from a lay down point of 20 out to around 10 and crushed out the pocket.  If not for one bad release, I spun it off my hand I could be sizing myself for the all elusive ring.

My Hex, which I bought used from a guy who said it don't hook, is drilled leverage.  With the exception of that bad release and my inability to figure out the proper hand position to get the ball down the lane in the third game this ball did no wrong.  If pulled it held a tight line to the pocket, if thrown too wide it made a hard left turn to the pocket.

All in all, one of my favorite balls for now and barring a miracle happening with the crunch I will be purchasing soon my favorite Track ball.

Ball: drilled 4x4 pin below ring finger, factory coverstock

Lane Conditions: various, wood lanes only

Hook: SUPER LONG and SUPER STRONG!!! Basically the same as the Crunch Time, just a hair less. 8.0

Control: Slightly more tame on the backend than the Crunch Time. It did not read the dry near as quick. 8.5

Hit: This is where I saw a difference between the Hex and the Crunch Time, the Hex hits well, but nowhere near the CrunchTime. If I miss out wide playing deep it would get back, but not quite enough to carry the 10 pin out. 7.0

Readability: Readable ball. For most it would be a first ball out of the bag kind of ball. Transitions smoothly from the wet to dry, and is on the dry a little bit before it makes its move. 8.5

Overall: It can be used on almost anything, but I would stop at the med/heavy. It will not handle carrydown like the CrunchTime. I see this ball being more advantageous for those with slower ball speeds or higher revs.

OVERALL RATING: 8.5

This is for the Darkside not the regualr Hex.....another oldie but goodie so here goes.

Lucky Me
Lane Conditions: Medium-Light Oil
Typical Conditions: Variety of Shots
Type of Lane: Combination
What part of the lane did you play? Third Arrow
Did the ball track out? Normal
Weight of bowling ball: 16
Surface of bowling ball: Factory/Box
Likes: Smooth length with control to the pocket, power, and impact on the pins.
Dislikes: Carrydown, and playing deeper than the fourth arrow and expect to cover some boards.

My proshop was lucky enough to pick up a few of these, and my Darkside is 16lbs, with a pin out distance of 2-3 inches. The top weight is 2.75 oz, and it's drilled with the pin under the ring finger stacked over the CG...and all this is ever so slightly to the right of the ring finger.

The reaction I get from the Darkside is similar to a Sonic Solid, very even, smooth, and controlled. It is about five boards stronger overall than the Sonic Solid, but works just as effective. It adapts easily to hand and speed releases and works well on most medium conditions. If you have too much carrydown, or oil put the ball away, because it will slide through the deck.

The Darkside works well on all angles of the lane until you get deeper than the fourth arrow. It will have some recovery problems unless you can throw it slow enough to keep it strong on the backend.

The ball hits hard and carries well like all the other Track equipment out there.

For all those Track fans looking for a lighter oil ball you should have picked this one up when you could.
