Track continues the popular Kinetic series in the Track Kinetic Obsidian. This ball features the modified Kinetic core which has a low RG, medium differential, and low mass bias. These components allow this ball to save its energy longer but use it quicker. Track has combined this core with a solid version of the DR-7 coverstock which gives length with a strong reaction at the backend. With a 500/2000 grit finish this ball is recommended for medium to heavy oil patterns. This mid performance ball with a mid performance price and an asymmetric core is hard to beat.

COMMENTS

Likes:   Having thrown other Kinetic labeled balls, I was excited to make holes in this beauty.  Put a 40 X 5 1/2 X 40 layout to get some length and response.  Have used in multiple league sessions, with great results, easy to get down lane, with excellent midlane responses and read, and aggressive shape off the end of the pattern.  Having the midlane readability lets you see when lane is moving into transition and make that move early.  Stores energy well, hits hard, just what you would expect from this core.

Hello, and welcome to my review of the Track Kinetic Obsidian. All the relevant information about my game can be found in my profile on here. First impression, another black ball beauty that rolls incredibly. I went with my lower flare layout (50 by 5 by 80), which places the pin below my middle finger and MB out a bit. I wanted something to be a bit stronger than my Web Tour and this piece did exactly that. It is a bit more forward off the spot, but that fits what I like to see in ball motion. I have used this on a wide range of conditions and I can say this piece is a mainstay in my arsenal. Very versatile in release changes, and it is a Goldilocks in the front to back reaction. Not too far, not too early. Just right.

It’s black and it rolls SWEET. There’s a reason so many are going to this ball. Its predictable roll enables one to trust the motion. I do feel this ball is best off the fresh as it does read relatively early and can lose steam later in a set if you get too far left. This ball is certainly best on short to mid length patterns
