Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): THS

COMMENTS

Likes: For me the Track Kinetic Platinum is more skid/ big smooth, strong arc than skid/flip, which as far as I'm concerned is a good thing. I think it picks up sooner than most pearl covers and gives me a nice smooth strong motion rather than the abrupt change of direction that can get me in trouble. This one is a winner. Beyond that, the Platinum & Orange writing look great. It is a beautiful ball that should pass the eye test.

COMMENTS

The Kinetic Platinum is so clean through the fronts of the lanes and provides a strong flip motion on the backend once it sees friction.  If you are looking for a transition ball on house patterns and sports patterns, the Kinetic Platinum is the ball for it, you will not be disappointed.

I really loved the Kinetic line and have a different color scheme is awesome.  The silver color has great shelf appeal and the performance does not disappoint at all.  Clean through the fronts and stores a strong angular reaction for the end.  This one would be best suited for medium lane conditions with this layout because it does have good length.  It can also be used for when the fronts start to dry up and the transition starts during league.

Kinetic Platinum – Various sport and house patterns

Pin above bridge, MB between thumb and VAL Positive Axis Point 4 3/8 right 1/2 up.

Out of the box the Kinetic Platinum has plenty of movement through the front part of the lane, and even more in the back part of the lane.  The Kinetic Platinum is reliable you know exactly what you are getting once you get the ball off your hand.  I used the Kinetic Platinum in tournament play (modified house, and sport patterns) when the backend is clean and or if the pattern is a little on the medium to short side it will pick up and never quit.  That is not a bad thing depending how well you know your game.  If the volume is a little higher or the back end is not as clean the Kinetic Platinum will tend to skid a little more (this is a delayed cover so that shouldn’t be a surprise).  I added surface (dry 2000) to the Kinetic Platinum the backend reaction was a lot smoother however, I couldn’t get it to go through the pins like I was seeing with the box surface.  If you want a reliable bowling ball I think the Kinetic Platinum is a solid option.

The Kinetic Platinum is a good medium length/volume pattern ball! Great for house shots and a good transition tournament ball. Clears the front part of the lane with ease and gives a decent midlane read and responds perfectly at the backend of the lane. Strong and continuous through the pins! I have mine layed out 60 x 4.5 x 30.
