Phenom"U"
Well, It's a keeper. The Phenom was smooth with a very sensitive coverstock.
"A Mutant with Fangs"
The Unleashed has a tweak and a half to make it a more angular and stronger.
5x3 pattern out of the box you have to try it to believe it.

I love this ball.
Got it last week.  Still unsure of drilling patterns, but it's drilled agressive, for me.  16Mph, med revs.
This is a great ball to complement my Phenom.  The differnce being the Unleashed does go further down the lane before it makes its turn.  And, boy does it turn.  Hits like a truck.
I would compare the phenom and unleashed the following way.  The Phenom starts rolling earlier in the lane and still makes a good turn into the pocket, but I feel it requires more of an inside line.  Something along the lines of standing left of center and throwing out to 15 or so, and letting it come back.
The unleashed plays a line I'm personally more comfortable with.  Left foot at 20, and throwing along 15, and letting it skid down the lane and finsh late into the pocket.  For me, I prefer this outside line, as it takes less adjustment as the lanes break down.  For me anyway.  I found with the regular Phenom, playing the inside line, as the lanes broke down, I was constantly moving left.  Which is difficult for me.  Not very comfortable standing 13L and throwing out over 13-15R.  It's a though shot for me.

But, I love the ball.  I think it reacts much like Wicked except it hooks in oil, where the Wicked doesn't (for me)

Good luck,
Breezyjr

I drilled 3 of the Unleashed, one 4x5,my least favorite, one pin onder ring, mb 5 and5/8,right of thumb in strong position, light  polish with reaction plus,x hole on val 2" below axis,3rd one pin under bridge 5&34 from axis mb one" left of val ,no hole box finish.Polished one gets nice length on med patterns with VERY ANGULAR MOVE ON BACKEND.On heavier patterns gets a little squirty but on these conditions I can go to the one I left dull and I get an earlier midlane roll with a very hard arcing back end.Two very impressive pieces. Ball does what Del and Bill claim, compared to original Phenom ,the Unleashed if left in box condition gets slightly more length with more back end. This can be attributed to lower particle load and removal of bottom plate on core.Do not expect this to get great length on medium patterns however without adjusting the surface.I like how Track leaves the ball with surface allowing the pro shop or bowler to use his desired polish to fine tune reaction. This should be a big seller for Track, very good performance plus a very nice looking ball, especially when shined up.

I threw the Unleashed last weekend during a practice session.  Just for kicks, I pulled out an old Enforcer still in great condition.  Both were polished.  The pin on the Unleashed was below the ring finger whereas the pin on the Enforcer was above the ring finger.  The cg on both balls were in the same spot in reference to grip (slightly outside of grip).  Throwing both balls the same line (slide at the left gutter with the ball hitting the arrows around 22 and the breakpoint being around 7-8, the Unleashed not only turned the corner, but kept coming around all the way to the pocket and still strong enough to drive and leave a 9 pin (only left one 9 pin in 20 shots).  The Enforcer had the same look until it hit the breakpoint in which it was softer around the corner and came in light on the headpin.  The Unleashed was extremely strong with no loss of energy once it hit the pins.  I was thoroughly impressed with the hook potential without loss of energy.  Only drawback is that you need alot of oil in the front 30 feet to get it down the lane (I am a cranker with 500+ revs and 18mph ball speed).  Ball hooks up at 20 feet when the heads go away.  Awesome ball none the less.

Specs: 2 inch pin
3 1/4 oz topweight
16 lb 1 oz
ball thrown with a light coat of Track Magic polish

Drilling: pin 4 inches from PAP, Mass Bias 5 inches from PAP.  weighthole on VAL 2 inches below the PAP

Review:

When drilling this ball I was real skeptical to how much ball this would actually be.  Track has the tendencies to overrate how much their balls actually hook.  What I get with this ball is more than enough length.  It clears the heads with the ease of a highly polished reactive but the lope through the midlanes and the energy it has on the backend is where this ball shines.

Since this ball clears the heads so well it really saves its flare for the last 15-20 feet.  I get 3 1/2 inches of flare out of it and most of it is through the loping in the midlane and the turn it makes at the breakpoint.  It is easily the most backend aggressive ball in my arsenal, might be the most aggressive on the backend that I've thrown since the Optyx F1.  Due to its built in length its extremely versatile.  I used it five games straight today on a flat 37 foot medium-heavy condition and I had no problems at all with it overhooking, as a matter of fact, as pronounced as the backend is on this ball it is very controllable and still works well while you make adjustments on the lane to combat transition.

This is a great first ball out of the bag on heavier fresh patterns and it is great for the house shot.  As with 90% of the balls on the market the H.I.T is very nice.  The way this ball carries light mixers definately adds a good 10-20 sticks per game from the carry percentage.  Excellent track product.  I am actually looking forward to trying another ball with this Morpheus core.

I"ve had this ball maybe a month, the first week that I had it I literally hated it just couldn"t be consistent with it, now I love it. This ball will really hook clean through the front and explosive on back. This is not a ball that you can be cute with you have to throw it you cannot ease up on it or you will pay also the last couple of weeks I could only use this ball on first game and then had to change to a different ball but I love it.

Just got this ball drilled yesterday and all I can say is WOW!  It's drilled stacked leverage.  For the first 4 games, I had it still as the box condition and it was really jumpy.  Took it into the shop and had some polish applied and then proceeded to shoot 766.  This thing hits like a truck and carries very well.  I wish I could get into more of the technical aspects of the ball, but I don't know any of that stuff.  All I know is that the Phenom Unleashed is a much welcomed addition to my arsenal.  I also have a Triple Threat, Revmaster, Contender, Assassin, and a brown turd of a spare ball.  Thanks for reading my post!

Ball details:  15lb, 3ounces top weight, 3 inch pin

I drilled this ball with the PIN at 3 3/8 and the MB right on my VAL (down from my PAP).  Balance hole was about 5 inches across and 1 inch down from my centre of grip.

This ball really surprised me.  I tested it on a fresh wall pattern along with my Crunchtime.  I stood on my normal spot and found the ball covered some extra boards (good sign already), didn't take me long to get lined up.  I then quickley changed to the Crunchtime and found that I could stood stand in the same spot and bring the ball back?????

Now I was confused, the Unleashed grabbed the lane a bit earlier and started a controlled yet very constant movement to the pocket.  The Crunchtime went long but really snapped hard on the backend to cover the same amount of boards.

I then thought I would move deeper and see what happened, WOW.  This ball had been holding out on me!  The deeper I moved the more the ball responded, it kept coming back!  I ended up moving another 10 boards with my feet and the ball still recovered.  I then swapped to the Crunchtime and washed out every shot.  Now I was starting to see the difference..........  The hit was impressive, only throwing about 15 revs per shot my carry from inside is always on the questionable inside but not with Unleashed, it just drove harder and harder.

Whilst the surface is matt you really need some decent oil to get this ball to rev up other wise if it hits the dry early it will turn well but won't cover the same amount of boards.  More oil = More hook!

I'm going to bowl this ball at another centre and see how it goes, early signs is that this will replace my Superfreak which was my inside oil ball.  My ball is also half white and looks pretty good going down the lane also (very important part of the ball testing).

Overall = I'm extremely happy with this ball, I don't think I will use it that much though unless I polish it but I don't want to do that yet.  A very important part of my arsenal and a definite keeper.  So far 9/10 ( I have only bowled 3 games with it).  Recommend it to anyone wanting to have a decent backend ball for heavy-medium oil conditions.

I couldn't agree more with the review below.  This ball does exactly what he says in that where the Crunch Time goes long and flips hard, this ball can go WAYYY deeper inside and keep coming, where the Crunch Time rolls up too late.

Great ball for Oil, but you definitely need oil and need to go DEEEEEP.

8.5 out of 10. (Haven't thrown it enough to rate higher YET, YET!)

Well I have thrown this enough now to review it.  The only problem I have with this ball right now is the house I bowl in only puts out enough oil to throw it in tournaments.  This ball has a great turn and power through the pins and the only bad carry has been 9 pins from too strong a move in the back end.  I would now give this a 9.5 out of 10.  (No 300's yet, then its a 10!)

Ball is 4 1/2 with pin below fingers and MB right of thumb 1/2" away. I brought the cover down a bit to 1200 grit.

Put 30 games in since I got it on New Years Eve.  Played on two conditions with one being 38ft. and the other is 40+ft. (Scratch league pattern)
Altogether my low series was 594 and the highest is a 669.

On the 38ft. wall shot I can play either down and in 10th board or go inside to 35th board at the approach and play 20 to 10. (arrows to BP)  Playing down and in this ball holds line and makes an arc motion to the pocket.  And if I choose to play the inside/out shot, this ball gets back to the pocket like no other ball in my bag!  This ball is amazing, I can stay longer with this ball too. If I have to move in I don't worry about this ball not performing.  Just got to chase the oil up front.

On the other pattern this ball still rocks.  There's really not much I can say about this ball.  this ball recovers and when thrown right, it shatters the pins.  Even light hits the pins fly all over the place.

If you got game but low confidence, then this ball can help you build up your confidence.  this ball is just MM...MMMM good to ignore!  Few bowlers have seen me throw this ball on either side of the lane, and some of them are thinking about getting one for themselves.

I have not yet to be disappointed with Track balls, then again I only have two of them...

Will post again after 60+ more games, so far so "real" good.

ok the first review i gave is recended the ball is awesome once u learn its characteristics roll it thru the heads with little speed for me i am no heavy rever (yet) and the ball eats boards like miss pacman roars thru the pocket and thats left is the resonded crash of 10 in the pit i love this ball i polished a couple of weeks ago but the key to this ball is u have to get it down thru the heads the more it rolls the more energy it builds .even when i think i am out of bounds the ball shocks me and the people i am bowling with .once i find my line the ball is forgiving to recover or hold the line with a tight shot .3and 1/4 oz.top weight and 1 inch pin the the pin just about an inch below the ring finger and slightly to the left of same .i just just 1020 four game series score 256,233,174(boo) 224 ten pins still kill me but thats my next hill to climb

Track Phenom "Unleashed"

The ball being drilled was 3” pin out with 3.00 oz top weight.

The drilling chosen was pin 4” from PAP and Mb 4 1/4” from PAP (45 degrees); pin is above fingers, 3 1/4" above grip midline. Weight hole past axis pitched away.

Bowler Information:
Track diameter is 10 1/2.
PAP is measured at 5 1/4 over and 3/8" up.
Average ball speed (foul line to head pin) is 17 mph.
Axis rotation is typically 45 degrees
Initial rev rate is typically 300 rpm, "Tweener"

What do you write about a ball on your 4th, 5th, and 6th game on the ball you shoot 815, but that is what I did with this ball. Del Warren/Bill Monce continues to impress me with their ball designs.

This light load particle lightly sanded at 1500 has a big flip block on the top and strong intermediate mass bias makes this ball not only hook on medium to oily lanes but has a strong charging backend reaction giving the bowler the ability to play out or in as this ball has great recovery. TRULY a everybody ball here, all styles will like this ball.

1st night out with the ball was bowled on HPL 9000 panels, great ball reaction and unbelievable hitting power all assets to this ball. Shot 676. Next night out on neglected wood, shot 815. Seems I can play anywhere under almost any condition with this ball.

Thanks Bill Monce and Del Warren for allowing me to add this ball to my 800 club, I know it will work well for you too and thanks for reading my review.

Had this ball for about 6 weeks now. Fresh out of the box this amazing oil eater shot 726. Not bad you say. Thing is I haven't shot a 700 in over 5 years due to lack of interest in the game. But seeing how this ball worked on the heavy oil in my Thursday nite scratch league is slowly turning me onto bowling once again. That and the fact everything i had in equipment was 7 years old or older. Well this past week i had a 216, 246, & 256/718 and am truly convinced with it. Oh yeah, anchor on the other team rolled a 300 against us with the same ball but polished. Boy i wish i had some revs. I'll say this, heavy oil holds the ball for me, once it comes out of the oil this ball finds the pocket & locks on. With the heavy oil i haven't overshot the pocket & carried everything that touches the headpin. Another thing i find amazing with this ball is that i even use it for my 10 pins. Once it gets to the rail, it holds & runs straight up the gutter. Ohhhh to be in love with the game once again, maybe i'll even start practicing some. By the way, my average has gone up 10 pins in 6 weeks (From 190 to an even 200, and thats 60 games into the season)with this ball. Also have averaged over 220 with it.

Specs: 15 lb, 3in pin, 3 oz top weight
Drilling: Pin under middle finger, CG center of grip under ring, MB in position 3 (Kicked right of thumb 2- 3")

Let me start by saying that this is my first non-Storm ball in 5 years. Only had for 2 weeks got 12 games on it (6 league and 6 practice). The thing I notice most about the ball is the versatility. First 3 games on synthetics (china)and reacted similar to my Deuce in the fronts with much more kick in the back. Shot 725 (4 flush 9 rins, right-handed). Next 3 on wood, dirt outside, spotty in the middle. Normally would not use this ball or this drilling on this condition, but wanted to see how she reacted. Amazingly, with a slight hand position change(weaker) it reacted GREAT!! Similar length to the previous condition, with even more pop on the end. Shot 746 w/ 2 single pin misses. Great ball from Track!. Will update when I use it on some different conditions.

I had my Unleashed for awhile, and as with other equipment I review I wait awhile to post a review in order to get a TRUE idea of the ball.

The Unleashed gets tremendous length for a dull particle (for a light load even). ALSO, for it being dull (kept with factory finish) it has a strong breakpoint. The pin action and predictability of this ball is awesome.

It is definately weaker than the Phenom (atleast for me), which is good because when the Phenom was too much I used this ball. When something polished would grab the dry and go (skid/flip) this was the ball I would go to. It would get the length and I would have to play deeper, but it was not flippy at all.

I liked the Phenom more, BUT I used this ball more often. If that makes sense at all.

LAYOUT:
Pin Under RING, MB right of thumb

I give this ball a 10 out of 10----it did what Track said it would.

BTW---for most bowlers, this ball is going to be an oiler

2" pin, 4  3/4" span with high track, med-high speed, and med-high rev rate.
Drilled pin under ring, cg kicked out about 1", mass bias between 4:30-5:00, moderate sized weight hole.
Left the cover out of box, 1500 grit sheen.
1st condition: Wood lanes, late evening league, lots off carrydown and a flood in the middle 7 to 7 and 20 feet.  The lanes had a nice crown to them by this time.  Stood 25, release about 20, crossed 10 board out to 5 at about 35ft. The ball steadilly arced in the backend with decent hitting power.
Stood 20, release at 15, cross 9-8, out to 5, increased speed, better results.  Gave the ball less time to roll out and it hit much harder.
2nd condition: Same front (7to7 with flood to 20), but fresh oil, dry backends at 35ft.  Much better for this ball.  I was able to stand 20 and get the ball out to 5 with plenty of tug area to 10.  The ball recovered great in the backend.  As the oil carried down, was able to move to 35 and slow down and get around the carrydown.  Still hit hard.  Eventually got as far as standing 40.  Once I did this, had tug between 5 and 15... Shot a 300, 15 strikes in a row.
Haven't tried it on synthetics yet, but I am sure the results will be just as good.

Alright here is my reveiew of this ball and a question all in one.  First off I have been back into bowling for about 2 years now.  I used to bowl alot when I was younger.  MAN, have things changed!  I am a cranker with high revs and throw the ball around 16mph.  I have been using storm balls since I started bowling but I was impressed with the way track balls hit.  The ball is drilled with the pin under the ring finger cg in the middle of my span and hand with the mass bias kicked out right of the thumb and the cover is high polished.  All I can say is this ball hits like a truck!  It carrys just about everything.  Unless I get around the ball to much then I tend to leave tens.  I play out and in, not sure on the board #s though.  I will say that the ball is very forgiving, if I get it a little to far out it makes it back and if I pull it, it tends to hold pretty well.  The way this ball is drilled it goes long for me and makes hard left at the backend.  I am very impressed with this ball, and it is a good compliment to my eraser blaze.

However I ran into a little problem, after using the ball for about 3 weeks the bridge cracked!  I called up the guy who drilled it for me and he replaced it no problem!  Now when I picked up the new one, it was drilled up a little differently.  This time the ring is still below the ring finger, but the cg is kicked out to the right in the middle of my span, and the mass bias is below the thumb.  The cover is once again highly polished.  Now my question is, this going to change the way the ball hooks, is it still going to go long and turn left at the backend?  Or will the ball be about the same?  I appreciate any input anyone has, and thnaks for reading my review!

Not a big Track fan, and I already have what I consider to be a great heavy oil ball in the Ultimate Inferno, but my ball driller really wanted me to try this ball so I agreed.  The ball was low top, with a 2+ inch pin.  I set it up with the pin at about 4 inches to PAP, and the mass bias 2 inches right of the thumb.  This necessitated a weight hole, which I put on my axis after throwing it a few frames.  My first effort was on a slightly broken down 10 to 10 wall that was starting to open up at about 12 board.  The ball got excellent length with an angular turn, and carried well, sending quite a few messengers.  The corners went out real well.  I threw my Ultimate on alternating shots and the Ultimate rolled stronger with a better looking tip, but it was overpowering teh pins more than the Unleashed.

Second effort was on a fresh version of the same pattern.  The unleashed carried very well as long as I could go down the boards slightly outside of 10.  However the first transition really got it.  As soon as I had to go away a little my entry angle got bad and carry went down the tubes.  On this shot the ultimate out performed the unleashed significantly.

This ball rolls and tips a lot like the Apex Adrenaline.  Like the Adrenaline I see at as very condition specific, either carrying everything, or nothing for me.  I have seen a lot of guys make this ball look pretty good, but once again I am finding that aggressive reactive works better for me the milder particle.

It is drilled stack. I am a cranker I used it for the first time in my
friday night league best ball I have ever thrown
I shot 244, then 300, then 268 for a 812 series not bad
for the first time throwing it. The ball is so controled.

Hi i just got this ball 6 weeks ago it has a four inch pin  two ounces top weight . Did not know how to drill it so did a bit of study first ,ended up with pin at one thirty mass bias at one inch below and right of thumb and cg in middle of palm . Oh by the way i am right hand ave  rev player who plants the foot probably about 15 or so revs .   Well where do i start this ball is tops had the aussie open condition down last night in league and once i figured where to bowl after a191,201 then bam 9spare 9 bagger unlucky seven pin spare for a 279 game WOW .Looking forward to using the ball in the Australian open at Easter .Have not had a ten bagger with this ball yet but had heaps of nines and eight baggers ,also shot 259,257,214 for a nice 730 block in league when i first got the ball . This  ball should be a part of your arsenal for sure .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Keep up the good work Track Bowling .

Ball Specs:

15 lb 5 oz.
2" pin - 2.5oz tw

Drilled the ball with pin below and slightly right of ring, mb kicked out near my VAL. Initially I thought I would have to take the "sheen" off of the ball as with most of the other Track oilers I have had, not this one though!! First time out with the ball, the shot was broken down. Spotty head oil tiny bit of carrydown. Not the best shot for this ball, its too strong and burnt up so I waited to throw it on league for a fresh shot. I started by playing right up 10 and the ball worked wonderfully. Ball went long and then arced hard to the pocket. I then tried to change hand positions and moved deeper on the lane. Standing on 30 hitting 15 at the arrows out to 8 and the ball came roaring back. Ball gets through the heads nicely and reads the midlane well before making a hard move to the pocket. The hit on this ball is tremendous. Definately the hardest hitting ball I have ever had and is by far the best ball I have ever thrown. I cant say enough good things about this ball and the more I use it the better it gets. Excellent ball from Track!!

Don't expect this ball to get that 36 boards of hook it advertises, definitely not for a pure stroker, i get pretty high revs but i can't get the ball to move more then 15 even on a houseshot... i can get double that with my aggression with 5 times as many games on it

My specs are in my profile.

The ball:
14# 5oz
3" pin
2 ¾ oz top

Drilled:
Pin; 3¼" above grip center on bridge line (4 ¼" to PAP)
MB; 1½" left of VAL and 2½" below grip center (4" to PAP)
Balance hole on VAL 1¼ below PAP pitched away 1¼"

Bowled on a Medium/Heavy 44' pattern

Let me start by saying this thing has more backend than any particle ball I have ever seen, I think it rivals strong pearls for backend flip. The ball gets through the head with no problem, sets up nicely in the midlane and then bam it flips and screams to the pocket. This ball moves the instant that it finds dry so it is a great long pattern ball for me which is exactly what I was looking for. With the strength it has in the backend I think it will allow me to go around the carrydown from bowlers that play the track area which is most in my fall league.

For comparision I set up 2 lanes with a fresh shot so I could use the Unleashed on 1 and my X-Factor on the other.
The X is 4"pin to PAP and 4" MB to PAP.

Unleashed played 15 to 7 game 1 and progressed to 20 to 10 by game 5 for the best look.

X Factor played 10 to 7 game 1 and progressed to 13 - 8 by game 5 for the best look.

I switched ball / lane match ups every game to rule out lane differences.

King Of The Mill, Thanks for the lay out suggestion.

I love this ball. It has a good carry on about any lane. I can put some good revs on it and it hooks throwing for 25 out to 5. Or I can barely put much on it and it will hook from the 10 board. Highly reccomended.

I have to say that Chuck G at track was right on the money with this one.
To make a long story short. This is an excellent ball. The cover is bowler friendy and easily tweaks.

The more you throw it!! the more you will use it!!

Okay, another continuation. This is still an excellent ball. The ball still carries anything, and will hook or hold. I would like to tell everybody, get this ball. I had mine label leverage drilling, and about 2 1/2" pin. It will adapt to almost any lane condition.

Track Phenom Unleashed
Weight: 15#
Pin: 2"
Top Weight: 3.0

Objective:
If the heavy hookers did not have enough backend, I wanted a ball to rely on for supreme backend.

Layout:
4 7/8" from PAP, Bias at 4 o'clock, CG out 2" from midline, balance hole 2" below PAP on VAL.
* Note: I have had two "Phenom Unleashed" bowling balls drilled both the same way.

We chose a similar layout to my "Animal" because of coverstock similarities and this layout provided me with the backend that I desired.

I have shot with this bowling ball also on different shots and conditions and various houses. This honestly could be the first ball out of the bag and the one ball anybody could use all night. To me, it is that versatile. Although do not get too comfortable if the lanes have a tendency to breakdown very quick, unless you have the ability to play left further than usual. Other than that, this ball is probably the best out of the Track line!

Conclusion:
With this versatile ball, you can play it on very oily lanes, medium oil, and medium, with about a one or two game carrydown. If the head oil is not there, this ball will hook off the hand. Excellent high performance ball and the most versatile!

WOW , Can you believe it .Shot my first 299 and 300 game with this ball two weeks ago in a  tourny and aved a handy 258 for the ten games .This ball went sick light hits ,heavy hits .Bowled the 299 in game 2 and left a 10 pin ,bowled the 300 in game 8.Mind you i had front eight in game 7 before a brain fade for a 256 game then no brain fade next game for a handy 556 block.

This is a great ball, i mostly use this ball from ending second game or going into the third, unless there is a lot of oil out there. But every time i use this ball on a nice medium oil shot it works wonders. Great Ball!!!!1

My man Ron aka PIMPIN has this ball and I saw him throw it and I liked what I saw. Ball rolls down the lane with fork and knife in hand ready to eat the pins.....I like that. Another great ball by track!

I actually got this ball off a fellow Ballreview member. The ball is drilled with the pin over the ring finger and the MB in the strong position on the right side of the thumb. This gives the ball a go skid, roll and snap reaction. No matter if the ball is dull or polish it still goes long. For being a particle ball i am very impress. I find it effective when the lanes have medium heads with clean to little carry down in the backends.

Heard a lot of good things about this ball so i went and bought one. The pin is above the ring finger and i throw at 17 to 18mph with med revs. On medium or dry conditions this ball reacts and breaks towards the pins like no other ball i have. I stand in the middle of the approach and throw out over 8 and it skids and then snaps with a lot of power. I can get it out all the way over to the 3 board and it will make its way to the pocket. It will even hold in the oil if thrown over 15 and go straight into the pocket. I liked the ball so much that i tried it on a heavier oil pattern and that is where i found its weak side. But if you are playing in a house that has medium or dry conditions this is the ball for you cause it will destroy the pocket.

specs and conditions.
Ball: 15lbs pin 2-3 Top 2 oz.
house pattern 40 Ft buffed to 45 ft.
Style 18-20 mph about 300-320 rev rate.

THGIS UNLEASHED IS A 2ND. When i laid it out the cg ended up in the middle of my palm. and the pin about 2" above my centerline. With the way the piun and cg and mass bias came out it looks like a triangle to give a better picture. So when i first threw this ball it hooks. Put a olish on it and made it more usable in my center. but a great ball for tournamnet bowlers or bowlers on synthetics. Also bowl on synthetics. and this is my first goto ball at the start of the night. But as they dry out arond second game. then i need to make a ball change. Great Job Track with another big hit.

This ball is an absolute monster.  Pardon the pun but the unleashed is phenomenal. I generally attack the lanes as a cranker (480-550 rpm 17.5-19 mph)but I have been known to play all lines. I have this ball drilled 5 x 4.25 MB at 5 O'Clock for a strong flip reaction.  Rolled this ball on a medium length (39' buffed to 42') which was pretty much a flat shot from 5 to 5.  Stood with left foot on 40 hit 34 at the foul line going across the fourth arrow out to the 3 board.  The ball got down to about 46 feet and came screaming back to the pocket.  This thing hits so unbelievably hard and the sound is just amazing.  This ball absolutely obliterates the rack.  I was amazed at the length I got out of this ball considering the specs that track gave.  Also I was pleased that the ball actually covered as many boards as they said it would.  For a ball that is nearly two years old this will still outhook almost anything.  Just another great ball from TRACK...If only I had gotten one sooner.

Track Phenom Unleashed

Weight: 15#
Pin: 2"
Top Weight: 3.0

Layout: 4 1/2" x 3 1/2"
        MB at 5 O'Clock, X-Hole 1" below PAP

Surfaces tested: 1200(resurfaced), 1000, 600

Lane Conditions: THS or OB from 10 to gutter with light oil in the middle(Synthetic Lanes)

I have tested this purple and white gem enough to review it now. I got this ball used from SteveAustin2808 and had it resurfaced with the Haus Resurfacing Machine. This is my first Track ball review, the Heat forthcoming. From the looks of it, Track has impressed me so far.

I got this ball for one big reason: I wanted something that hooked more than my Inferno. What I ended up getting was a ball that is similar to the Inferno, but with a particle twist. This ball has got some backend, and ALOT of it!!! The Fang Particle coverstock helps this ball grip the lane, but it flips similar to a resin ball. The hit is simply unbelieveable for me, especially carrying light hits and trips on single pins.

I wasn't getting the reaction I wanted from this ball at 1200 and 1000, b/c it just skid too much b4 turning on the backend. So I decided to green scotchbrite it, and it made a world of difference. The ball was grabbing sooner, and reacting with a more slight flip instead of a power flip I was seeing at the beginning.

One thing I especially like about the Unleashed is its versitality. I can honestly say that this ball is the first for me that I can use when carrydown is on the lanes and do well bowling on them. I can use it slightly in the OB but with little consistency. The thing is, as all particles do, they hit weak if there isn't enough oil on the lane. And also, it will overreact off the dry if there is not enough oil to push it down further.

This ball compliments my aresnal well as a particle with all my reactive pearls(Inferno, Heat, Blazing Inferno) and is a great ball to for me to use for almost all 3 games of league. It makes aresnal setup for league really easy, and I like simplicity.

Grades:
(1 being least, 10 being most)

Length: 5.5(Good length for a particle)
Backend: 8.9(Has the backend of a strong resin)

(1 being worst, 10 being best)

Versatility: 8 out of 10(Great ball to use all night)
Maintance: 7.5 out of 10 (Easy to clean with Clean N' Dull and tweak)
Overall: 9 out of 10 (Great ball from Track, and I will use this ball often!)

Brunswick + Track = BrunsTrack = A winning combo!

4 ways to victory:

Unleash the Phenom's fury
Release an Inferno on the lanes
Turn up the Heat on the competition
Burn up the pins with a Blazing Inferno

And if those don't work, I don't know what will!
