LANE CONDITION

Length: 41 ish

Volume:  light

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):  Fresh house shot with light volume

COMMENTS

Likes: This ball does exactly what it was designed for. It gives you a step down ball from the Proof Solid while maintaining the same shape & hitting power. For me the Pearl is about 3-4 boards with my feet weaker than the solid. It pearl cover will allow you to clear the transitioning heads easier, give you a bit more length before it reads the friction. I think I'm going to like this version as much as the solid.

Drilled this one to compliment the Proof Solid. Used a layout of 50x5.25x25. Ball is every bit as good as the solid.
This will come into play for most players when the solids are starting to burn up and not go thru the pins properly.
For me, the overall hook on a house shot is very close to the Proof Solid. The shape is different, and the pearl is obviously cleaner. This makes my carry on the fresh a little suspect, but when patient enough to use it when its intended for, it becomes perfect.
best uses for this ball will be when the lanes break down, longer lighter volume patterns and/or slower ball speeds. Using this on a shorter pattern would not be recommended as it will be too angular without surface.

The original was a ton of ball for me. It read the lane early and didn't stop doing so down lane. The new Track Proof Pearl has the same characteristics. Only the pearl has a cleaner motion through the front of the lane. For me, the pearl is cleaner than needed since my ball speed is usually 16-18 mph. That is always an easy fix. I hit mine with a 3000 abralon pad. Believe or not, the crack of surface on this ball made it super ideal. It helps the ball see the lane like it was intended to. Similar motion but cleaner and a good change of direction.

Track Proof Pearl

Drilling - 65° x 4.5 x 55°

The Track Proof Pearl was a release I was anticipating, after drilling the Proof Solid. The Proof Solid was a stand-out that was lost to the pandemic. The Proof Pearl features the same, strong, asymmetrical Proof core with a Pearl version of the Prime Response cover stock that was on the Solid. Track didn’t seem to go crazy with this release. Instead of trying to make this ball super angular, it seems as though Track made just enough alterations to complement the Proof Solid without taking away what made the Proof such a great ball. The Proof Pearl is at home on medium oil patterns. I’ve used the Proof Pearl with success on patterns like the 2015 USBC Mixed Nationals pattern as well as our 42ft, 26.7mL house shot. The pearl revs up without slowing down too early in the mid-lane and delivers a continuous arc through the pins. The Proof Pearl is a true compliment to the Proof Solid.

The Proof pearl colors remind me on the cyborg pearl color scheme.  Great skid flip ball and this Proof line will not disappoint no matter whether you have 1 or all 3 because they are versatile and complement each other as the lanes transition.  The proof line has a great price point and you get great performance.
