Reaction:
This ball has a great core/coverstock combination. The Delta core is an aggressive piece and wrapped in dull GOO LS which gives the reaction shape a very strong arc. The layout we chose is designed for that archy snap on the back end.
Rule GP2/Rule Delta 1 Comparison:
While the GP2 is wrapped in Goo Particle, the Delta 1 is wrapped in the GOO LS Reactive formula; the same as the X-Ception. The Delta 1 is about 2-3 boards weaker than the GP2 from testing the ball out on different conditions in various houses. If you desire tons of hook, you want to go with the GP2. If you desire control and good recovery, you want to go with the Delta 1. I personally feel the Delta 1 is more versatile, at least for my style.
Random Thoughts:
I played different lines and the most success I found was standing on 25, looking at the third arrow with my eyes and getting it out to the 8 board. This ball came back nice and smooth and was NOT real jumpy, whereas my GP2 would jump the gun real quick. I played direct up the boards and the Delta 1 hooked way to early for this line. This ball needs oil to perform well, it is best played on heavy to medium-oil conditions.
Conclusion:
If you are looking for a versatile reactive ball that is core heavy, then look no further than the Rule Delta 1. This ball is 3-4 boards more aggressive than the original Rule and 3 boards less aggressive than the GP2. If you need a ball to cover boards and desire more control and predictability, then this is the ball for you! I am very pleased with this ball and it has a place in the bag for league nights also!

Testing conditions: synthetics 34ft buffed to 42
Readability and Hook: This ball is strong! It reads the heavier oil with ease and offers a very powerful hook on the backend.
In the out of box finish, I needed to use this on a med heavy condition or it would cause too much friction early. It needs decent head oil to be thrown and react effectively. With some head oil present, it opens up the backend tremendously. Being resin vs. particle, the recovery off the free hook from this ball is stronger in comparison.
Control: Even with my aggressive layout, the ball reacts with a strong arc, not skid flippy at all.
Hit: The hit is very interesting. I am providing some videos with this review for you to view and you can see how hard it drives through the pins. The most interesting thing is the “exit†angle of where the ball leaves the pin deck. It drives so hard that it splits the 8-9 most of the time. It has the most continuous backend finish I’ve personally ever seen before.
Overall: Very impressive ball. Just a tad shy of oil handling capability compared to our Rule GP2 but makes up for it on the backend. I’ll let the videos speak for themselves…

Pin 3 3/4 from PAP 2 inches above midline MB on VAL, I have left it with the OOB finish.
Line:
Suprisingly I was able to stand deep with the Delta 1 and still have tremendous recovery to the pocket. I would say it has roughly 3-4 boards more on the backend than the Rule GP2 does. I have thrown it on quite a few different shots, but I am going to give you my line based on the house shot I have reviewed most of my other equipment on. I had to stand 30 to start and my breakpoint was between 10 and 5 boards down the lane.
Reaction:
The Rule Delta 1 rolls pretty quick for a reactive ball. Much of this is due to the layout I chose, but I wanted to see exactly what the new "motor" would do. Even with the early rolling layout the ball still has plenty left on the backend as long as there is sufficient oil to help carry the ball down the lane. On the house shot it is usually perfect for the first game to game and half then when the mids start to go I have to put it away because it rolls up much too soon.
Impact:
I am starting to think that this should be a given when it comes to Track equipment but it pounds the pocket. The hit is strong much like the Mutant was for me(read my reviews I couldn't say enough about how well it hit). Normally if I hit the pocket and do not strike it is because of the strong move it makes at the breakpoint------9pin.
Readability:
In most cases I don't like to use a ball as strong as this to read a lane with, but because of the color I can see the ball transition down the lane extremely well. If I throw it and it checks up early I know it has to go back in the bag.
Overall Comments: This is a very nice addition to the existing lineup Track has going right now. The Delta 1 is a strong ball that I can use on a house pattern where unless it was drilled weakly I couldn't use the GP2 on anything less than a ton of oil. I have only thrown this ball in one place and seen it roll out. When Ernie, Rick and I met in Cinci that was the only pattern I have used the Delta on and it roll out.
Placement:
Currently I have a very good arsenal set up where I can just switch balls when one starts grabbing too early AND I can keep my feet in the same spot. I have been regularly starting with the Delta 1 going to the Arsenal Reactive and from there I go to the 5.0. So the Delta 1 fits perfectly for me between the Rule GP2 and the Arsenal Reactive.
I hope this info helps in your decision to purchase a Delta 1

Surface is Out of box condition.
I am able to play deeper with the delta 1 and have great recovery to the pocket. It's an extremely heavy arc motion. It seems to rev up quick and store it's energy for a long time. It's an extremely aggressive ball on the correct lane condition. I don't suggest it for lighter patterns(unless you lack in the fingers dept) or lack of head oil. It is about 3 more boards for me stronger than my original rule. It gives me a new look on the lanes when the rule isn't enough, and the GP2 isn't the right piece. Another good addition to the Track line up!

I threw it about 17 mph not a lot of hand.
I can not use this ball in my bowling center due to lack of oil they use.
Drilled It with the pin 1/4 inch above my grip line, Stacked. The mass bias ended up right below my thumb dead nuts in the middle. Best i could do with the short pin. No kick. Didnt need a weight hole. Threw it and the ball just hooked and stopped. So went back in put some track magic shine on it and got a much better reaction at least somethign that didnt stop. A great ball once u add a little polish to it. If not its just to strong.

Alright, so we kept this Rule Delta One in its 900 Grit surface OOB finish. Rick Leong (tenpinspro), a Track Amateur Staffer laid out and drilled this one up.
We both threw ball this at his home house which is Synthetic. I am not sure how his ball is laid out, but I will get a video of both of our shots together for you all soon.
The pattern was Medium-Heavy oiled to about 36 feet with slight Hang outside 5 board. I wasn't able to keep a consistent line to the pocket starting around the board as the ball would just make a left turn at about 40-45 feet. If I got the ball outside of 5, the ball would just skate.
I started playing pretty deep, feeding the oil and just letting the ball conserve energy. Once the ball hit about 45-48 feet (past the scanner), it would make an immediate move left.
This ball hit hard and recovered like none of the other balls in my arsenal at the time (Gp2, Slash & Animal). As witnessed by myself, other ballreview members Tenpinspro & nonamekevin in person, this ball drives through the pocket so hard, the 9 pin seems to be the last one to go down.

A ball with decent lenght!
With the 900 Grit OOB surface, I get medium length out of this ball with a decent amount of head oil. On Heavier patterns, this ball gets down a bit more then makes a good turn on the back. On drier lanes, forget it, it reads to early and will make a detour for the 4 pin (right handed hehe)
Backend is this ball's middle name.
We tried the MB in Strong position. It really is a strong reacting ball in the back. The backend motion on this ball is unlike any other Track ball I've had. On most House conditions (medium-heavy with clean backends), I get a hook-set type motion, but the ball just "drives," through the pins. Sometimes resulting in late 9 pins going down at the last second.
What this ball did on a 45' foot (buffed to 48' on synthetics)
Compared to my Ebonite THe One (Review in the ebonite section), the Delta wanted to roll up earlier and wasn't as snappy. It kept the ball in play and on a couple of shots. With the stronger core, I got this ball to read earlier than my other stuff on this Long and Tough Pattern.
HOOK
Very sharp backend movement on this ball. The core and FlipBlock may have a lot to do with this type of reaction. Like I said before, I've never seen so many late 9 pins or messenger type hits before.
LENGTH
As I said earlier, in Heavier Oils, this ball will naturally go a little longer, but on most mediums, it will read earlier. Do not use this ball on dry lanes!
CONTROL
This is also another ball that is tough to read lanes with. It's just too strong in the back.
WHERE IT FITS IN MY ARSENAL
I see this is as my strongest ball overall. I can handle most Heavy conditions here in my area (S.F. Bay Area, California).

Final thoughts on the ball.
2-3 months ago, when I purchased this ball, we laid it out with an open mind. We tried to Max out the backend reaction with the MB in strong. If I didn't like the reaction, we figured we'd make some surface adjustments. 40-45 games later, I have kept it in OOB condition. So far so good. As long as I use this ball on conditions that warrant a ball to read a little earlier, then I take it out of the bag. Very good overall Medium-Heavy Oiler. Great Job Track!

Expectations of the ball:Expected the ball to double as a good heavy oil ball as far as house shots go, but would be consider a medium-heavy ball for tournament conditions.

2) Color (especially when rolling down the lanes)

Heavy oil: For a reactive ball this ball can play rather nicely in heavy oil. This ball overall gets about as much length as my GP2 does, however instead of having a strong snap to it, there is a strong arc.

Medium Heavy: In my opinion this ball is right at home in the category. This ball cuts through the oil with ease and still manages to store up enough power to take off in the backend

Medium: Ball still is playable in this condition, however for me when playing this condition I have to play a swing shot for this ball to even have a chance for getting to the pocket.
Rating: 6-10
Medium-Dry: Time to bag it. Ball it too strong for this condition. At this point the ball is hard to control and likes to start rolling out on me

Dry Lanes:No use even trying.

Overall I like this ball. I feel like this is another victory for track. I love the way the ball rolls as well as the reaction the ball gets when you hits the pocket. I would highly recommend this ball to any bowler.

This bal is awsome. The way its drilled makes it roll nice in the mids and have alot on the backend. The thing I like the most is that reads the head nicely and mids great like a good heavy load particle ball. Yet it doesnt lose any of the backend reaction. This thing just doesnt stop when you have the line to play it. Great reaction, very strong arc but when rolled right can be the big skid flip ball in the bag. Rateng 10
Readabily
The abilty to read the lanes with this ball is good but this is not what it is ment for. This ball just doesnt turn well off the dry. When it hits it it eather snaps to hard or it can roll out really fast and you can miss read and think it is a flood. Rating 9
Versatility
This ball is very versital. If you have it polished it can certenly be the skid/flip ball in the bag. If you have it sanded I could see it being someones heavy oil ball if they have it drilled right and roll slow enough. Rating 10
Hit
Wow is all I have to say. I cant belive how wel this ball hits the pins. It hit so hard and loud. It isnt the ideal hit i like where the pins are hit hard and kept low for good carry, but it hits the pins so hard that is like having 50 cars out on a road with the engines reving. Where 49 of them are honda civic cars and there is like one 1967 mustang boss. You just know what engine is the mustang. That is what it is like you hit the pins and everyone knows it. Rating 10

I love this ball. I bowl at a place where this ball just shines. I have not had a very good AVE. in that league. Now that I got the delta it brought it up about 8 pins. Rating 10

Reaction:smooth through the heads with a strong but smooth arc on the backend.
Opinion: This ball is very easy to get to the pocket, but once there I am stunned at how few strikes can be accomplished. I leave a lot of 10 pins, when crushing the pocket, and 5 & 8 when going brooklyn.
Other: The ball draws a lot of attention on looks alone.

THS shot first night out 254,247,279 = 780 Wow!. All I can say is this Ball pay for it self 3x. hhahahhaa If you don't have one get one! This ball is 4 to 5 board stronger than My Vertigo drill about same. Strong Arc shape and carry the world light and high. This ball makes me look like I am a 220+ average cranker. Wow Thanks to Zhenmaster for his recommendation now I can look like I can bowl.
P.S. And offcourse thanks to the one who paid for this ball.

Surface(s) tested: 900 grit OOB restored, currently at ~800 grit sanded(grey scotchbrite applied)
Lane Conditions Tested: Fresh THS, THS with carrydown, and 2nd shift THS
I was offered this ball by SteveAustin2808(famous Track video guy with mad skills and a 210+ average) earlier last month, and I decided to take it off his hands. I had always admired this ball but never got the guts to purchase it. Either way, I realised how good this ball was when I first starting throwing it.
This ball has the Goo LS coverstock, same as the Arsenal Artillery. This coverstock has been quite good to me with the Artillery, giving me great backend reaction. This ball has more early roll and a more even reaction than I expected, which is a good thing. Also, with the sanded finish, it has some teeth on the freshier, heavier oiled shots I see out there. Also, the backend was more continous than snappy, which makes it more readable on the fresh than any ball I have seen since the Slash.
Lines played(compared with the Arsenal Artillery), on a THS with slight carrydown and a few games on the condition
25(on the approach) to 15(at the arrows) to 12(breakpoint):
Delta 1: Earlier roll, continous backend reaction, a solid 10 stood up
Artillery: Later roll, very strong backend reaction, dead flush strike
^Here I moved left with the pattern as it broke down for me. The heads breaking down and the carrydown caused the Delta 1 to grip sooner, losing some of its strong backend that makes it famous, resulting in a solid 10. The Artillery delayed its roll long enough to finish very strong in the pocket.
15(approach) to 5(at the arrows) to 3(breakpoint):
Delta 1: Early roll(at the arrows), very strong backend reaction, 4-6-7 split
Artillery: Later roll(at the breakpoint), strong backend reaction, flush strike
^Here I switched lines and moved outside, where more dry was present. I moved my target much further down lane, almost 40 feet down lane. I targeted my breakpoint on the dark boards outside first arrow, where I knew friction was present. This line wasn't played at all, so I decided to give it a whirl and see how both balls would perform.
The Delta 1 grabbed the dry immediately and jumped off the breakpoint so quick it wasn't possible to keep it in the pocket playing this line. Too much teeth for this particular line, to say the least. The Artillery, on the other hand, delayed its roll until it hit the breakpoint where I was looking at.
Grades:
Heavy oil: The Delta 1 wasn't made for the really slick stuff, for the particle equipment out there handles the Slick 50 better. But, the Delta 1 can be played on this pattern going direct up the boards, but make sure you have some surface on this ball. OOB on heavy oil will not do the trick, for it is too high of a finish unless you have a rev rate that can pull it off. Grade: C+
Heavy-Medium oil: This ball shines for me on this pattern, b/c the houses I have bowled at put this down as their house shot. The Delta 1 grabs at around the 30-35 foot mark, and with clean backends, it has a strong backend motion that finishes extremely well. Great ball for the first game in league for me, for it does very well on the fresh. Grade: A+
Medium oil: On this condition, the Delta 1 grabs sooner for me, around the 30 foot mark. The backend is stronger, and sometimes is hard to control if I am not careful. As the shot dries up, I have to go the Artillery b/c of the coverstock finish on it. This is where I either move deeper on the approach, change my breakpoint and target downlane, or just change balls. Grade: B
Medium with carrydown: As the shot transitions and the oil carries downlane and the heads dry up, the Delta 1 goes down on performance for me. It grabs too soon, and the backend is not nearly as strong as the Artillery or even the Arsenal Reactive. I have to switch balls here, b/c game 2 in league usually has this condition. Grade: C-
Medium-Light, and Light oil: I wouldn't even try this ball on this condition, for the surface I have the Delta 1 is far too strong for this shot. I would have to loft it, and I have less room for error with this ball, and that is putting mildly. Grade: F-
Overall Conclusion: Track has produced a gem in the Rule Delta 1. The assymetrical core and the Goo LS coverstock produce a combination that killer on the lanes. The Delta 1 compliments my Arsenal Artillery very well, and make a dynamic 1-2 punch for league. Now I see what the buzz on this ball was all about, and it was worth all the hype.
Overall Grade: A

clock next to ring finger stacked leverage. The Delta one for me is huge hit, on fresh house oil it has an easy smooth controllable predictable roll. Hits amazingly hard with consistantly great pin action and carry. For a stroker this ball is a dream come true. Handles the lanes with minor adjustments down to lite oil, after that the agressive nature of the ball is too much, go ahead and put it away. This ball is a definite must have in anyones arsenal. 10 pins all the way!
