Track is bringing back the Triton Elite with a new solid coverstock and a modified version of the original Core 2 to offer the same consistant motion the original Triton Elite was known for. This updated bowling ball takes the QR-7 Solid coverstock and wraps it around the MC2 (Modified Core 2) to offer major continuous hook on medium lane conditions. Track took the same core used in this ball 20 years ago and modified it to rase the RG and lower the diff slightly to match the old reaction on todays lane conditions.

Color: Purple Sparkle
All colors do vary somewhat from the picture shown
Coverstock: QR-7 Solid
Core: MC2 Technology
Finish: 500/2000 Abralon
RG: 2.51**
Differential: .046**
** RG and Diff are based off of 15 lb. balls
Reaction: Big Continuous Hook
Recommended Lane Condition: Medium Oil

Likes: This ball has easily made it's way to one of my favorites in my bag, It is one of the most versatile balls I have had in a while. I can use it more in the friction with speed or I can really go left like I like to do, wrap my hand around it and still see a very controllable but extremely arc like and sweeping shape to the pocket. I have the surface at a worn 2000 to shine up the cover just a tad and I the layout is a 4 1/4 pin with a 20 degree VAL angle. Track really hit this one out of the park.

Dislikes: No dislikes at all with this ball, I feel even if I put more surface on this ball, I would still see that sweep like motion on the backend, but with the ability to handle the heavier oils.

I drilled the Triton Elite pin up and left it at box finish and plan on using this ball for tournaments when I need that extra flip on the back end.  This ball really gets down the lane nicely and is very angular off the spot.  It’s now my strongest ball in the bag.  This ball will definitely be going to Vegas for Nationals in late April.

LANE CONDITION

Length:  40'

Volume: mid

Type: typical house shot ( my house usually has friction)

COMMENTS

Likes: This ball has a really nice shape to it. It is similar to my Tactix but goes through the pins stronger, less deflection. It picks up a little early, but in a good way, it doesn't jump off the spot. For me it blends out the wet dry pretty well. Some balls will jump if you get them right too soon on house and go through the face. This one is smoother so you might leave or even trip a 4 pin instead of a big split. Good fit for me.

Likes:  Drilled this ball mainly because I loved the original 20 years ago.  I laid this ball out to be the next ball up when my Hammer Web started to struggle and move to soon.   This ball is the perfect ball for that scenario.   Didn't even have to move or change lines.  It also is just a pinch stronger then my Black Widow Pink in that it rolls a tad sooner and is smoother with direction changes downlane. It really rolls good, it is a must have in your bag and makes a great 1,2 punch with either of the balls i have mentioned here.

Likes: First games with the Triton Elite subbing in a trios league.  Layed this one out pin down with cg kicked right of grip center line about 1 1/2".  Rolled great on the fresh pattern with a strong midlane reaction and great continuation through the pins, just what you expect on a house type pattern from a strong symmetrical.  This ball will be going into the tournament mix, as it is a bit strong for a house pattern unless you like to move left and wheel on it, then this one will be a hit.   Great remake of an exceptional ball the first time around.  If you need a strong benchmark ball - put this one in the bag!

Likes: I like the way the Triton Elite rolls on the fresh.  It's very responsive off the spot yet not violent.  I used it at the Nationals in Las Vegas and was pleased that I didn't have to give the pocket away.  I was able to keep it in front of me with good ball speed and let it roll up instead of twisting it.  USBC Nationals are tough enough so I was happy to apply nothing more than getting it to the target.

This ball is 5 stars all day for me. I have a 4.5” pin to pap on this ball and it is the epitome of a benchmark ball. I rolled 4 shots with it during league and immediately knew this bag was going to head to Nationals with me.

It is just plain controllable and you can trust what is going to do off the fresh and early games in a block. I personally like it better than the Track Tactix and find it is better suited to 300+ rev rates compared to the Tactix as the cover wasn’t quite a strong as it. A must in my opinion.

Triton Elite – Various sport and house patterns

Positive Axis Point 4 3/8 right 1/2 up.

Smooth and continuous is what I like the most about the Triton Elite, I was a little skeptical looking at the box surface thinking it would be to early for my area.  I was wrong, game 2 I pulled the Triton Elite out the bag played through 20 at the arrows letting it float right no farther then 8 down lane.  I was impressed to see the ball recover without being violent, then go through the pins I was happy to see such a smooth reaction from a ball that looked to be strong.  The other key to the Triton Elite is the versatility I used it at box, added a little more surface and slight polish.  The difference in the ball roll is noticeable however, the motion stayed true for me.  I went pin down between my bridge CG is swung out just a little.  If you want a ball that is easy to read and isn’t to sharp off the friction the Triton Elite is a bowling ball to consider.
