The Track Alias high performance bowling ball was designed with all bowling styles and all lane patterns considered. This ball can be drilled for any circumstance you might find yourself facing. This ball can be transformed for a smooth, strong mid lane delivery or an angular motion. This is all achieved due to the versatile Alias core that is being introduced with this ball. Track designed this core to have an extremely tight pin distance and top weight spec. This will allow the driller to accomplish multiple mass bias drilling angles without the need of a weight hole. This also creates an intermediate differential range of perfectly symmetric .000 Intermediate Differential to a very asymmetric, high Intermediate Differential. This unique core is covered with a Prime Hybrid coverstock and is finished with a 500/2000 sanding. This cover responds quickly to friction on those heavier oiled lane conditions and provides a lot of hook.

Color: Smoke/Purple/Orange
Coverstock: Prime Hybrid
Core: Alias
Core: 500/2000 Abralon
RG: 2.49 (15# ball)
Differential: .054 (15# ball)
Recommended Lane Condition: Heavy Oil
Reaction: Mid-lane with Aggressive Backend

The new Track Alias comes with a very unique core design that offers more drilling options than most other cores. The ball comes with an asymmetric core that can be drilled to be symmetric.
The Alias comes with a new cover the Prime Hybrid.  The Alias is possibly the strongest ball I have ever thrown. I love that it is also strong in the right places. Most strong asymmetric balls I have thrown in the past were never strong at the right places. This one definitely is!!

My first drilling is my asymmetric drilling at 50x4x70. This is a layout I use quite frequently. It is on the strong side for me, and this one still packs plenty downlane reaction. The cover is much cleaner than I anticipated. Don't get me wrong, it still needs oil to be used properly. When I compare this to the Paradox Black, the Alias is about 3-5 stronger and it is all downlane. Cleaner and more angular.

My second drilling is my symmetric layout, that ended up being -25x4x30. So my first shot I threw with this one, I immediately saw a huge difference in the shape. This one started much sooner, and was much smoother as symmetric would do. The cover still allows it to be clean in the fronts, but slows down about 2-3ft sooner than the asymmetric drilling. This helps to keep the ball closer to the friction as it is very smooth then in the back part of the lane. I haven't thrown this one as much as the asymmetric yet.

The Prime Hybrid cover takes surface adjustments like a champ. The colors of the ball look really good going down the lane. The orange in this ball really pops out at you. Make sure you check this one out when needed that new one for the heavier volumes. You will not be disappointed.

Asymmetrical - 80x5x30    This one hooks. Period.  Not only will this ball give you a lot of teeth in the mid-lane, it is also very responsive out of the pattern.  Out of the box, high rev players should like this one on heavy volume patterns.  When polished, this ball got through the drier heads on a THS.  After throwing this one, I thought 'I wish I had this for the fresh on the 2017 Open Championships D/S pattern.

Symmetrical  -  -10x5x30   A nice complement to the asymmetrical.  This layout will provide a much smoother response compared to the asymmetrical while not sacrificing energy retention.  This one would be better suited for lower ball speeds and could be used for longer blocks as moving inside is not an issue.  Let this one lane-shine a bit and consider it a benchmark ball in the arsenal.

One great ball...multiple layout options!

LANE CONDITION

Length: 41'

Volume: Medium

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): THS

COMMENTS

Designed with every bowling style and every lane pattern type in mind, the Alias can be drilled for any situation. Whether you want a smooth, strong midlane or angular motion, the Alias can be transformed into any desired ball motion.

The new Alias core is the most versatile core Track has ever created and wrapped with the new Prime Hybrid coverstock, the Alias provides a fast response to friction on heavier oil conditions.

This ball fits into their High Performance collection, along with the Paradox Black, the Mako and the Mako Attack. This ball has a strong mid lane read and a continuous backend motion.

This ball can cover a wide range of ball motion from smooth and controllable, to angular and responsive, thanks to the technology used on the new Alias core.

Alias – TAT, Black Diamond, House, Wichita Open
Positive Axis Point 4 3/8 right 1/2 up.

Alias has a unique roll to it.  I was able to try both the Asymmetrical and Symmetrical layout.  The Asymmetrical is true to the first video I saw.  It is raw hook but not so much hook it burns up and doesn’t have the power to finish on the back.  NO WAY!! the Alias keeps going and going.

With the Symmetrical layout I was not sure how different it would be in my hand, I didn’t like the shape with the box surface I changed it to 2000 only that was still a little too early and this is when I saw the Alias not finishing through the pins.  I tried one of my favorite surface adjustments 1000/2000/3000/4000 this gives the ball a polish look to it without having to use ball polish.  I was able to see a shape I wanted.  During a tournament bowling on the black diamond pattern I used the Asymmetrical Alias to start.  Around game 4 it started to drive a little too much and I was in a good zone so I didn’t want to move my feet.  I switched to the Symmetrical Alias and it was spot on.  I would suggest getting the Alias if you want to see that strong move off the friction and through the pins.  I will only suggest drilling the Alias Symmetrical if your Pro Shop Operator has as close to perfect specs 2oz top weight or less 1-2 inch pin.

3 testers, 2 patterns:
http://tamerbowling.com/track-alias-bowling-ball-review/

Excerpt:
What can I say? I was pleasantly surprised by how punchy this ball was despite the amount of surface it has out of box. No question, the Track Alias needs some oil. But when it does see oil, it makes the pattern look like a lighter pattern. Meaning it’s got a good midlane read but lots of punch downlane. Many times, we lose hit on longer patterns because there are fewer feet of friction left to get to the pins. Therefore angles get shallower. With the Alias, it looks like it is capable of generating angle even on those conditions which will most certainly give a bowler more confidence.
