Xception 5.0 in SAC
« on: May 12, 2005, 11:40:58 AM »
I just got my balls in the shop today and could not wait too drill this pretty sun of a gun up.  The start of the project Pin 3" Top 3 1/4 wanted just too shake ball down with a simple layout.  4x4 everything stacked, now mind you I have not been bowling a whole lot (life is too fast) but the ball hit the lane it burnt a hole in the floor. The great team we have in San Antonio is doing an awesome job of filling holes we need too fill with all the products that come out. This ball will be very easy for us too sell, because its good looking and it hooks on the back like nobodies business, very nice threw the fronts and very angular on the back. This ball starts up faster than the arsenal and the Xception.  This is a great look. Tenpinpro what do you think? write back or call(916)334-0900.

Just a quick question...on the site it say made for medium oil but I don't quite buy that...How much oil do you think this ball can actually handle? I could see myself (low-med speed, average revs) using this ball in more med-heavy conditions. What do you think?

Hex017,  I believe you are right, this ball is a little more for less ball speeed players.  Med-heavy just depends on the layout.

You could always dull the surface, but it does have the GOO LS as a base which is made to be long and strong, plus the pearl and polish from the factory and you have 3 items helping the ball get down the lane, thus the medium oil in general.

Hex,

I see it as more of a med/heavy ball as well. It comes with the same OOB finish that the Animal did.....1000 compound. As mentioned though, the layout will determine alot of things.

Hey Sactown,

Been swamped at the shop, not asking why, just trying to catch as much rain before it stops raining, you know?  I didn't get a chance to punch it up yet but it definitely sounds very interesting.  If you're still throwing the ball like I remember (crossed some 8 gamers with you and Curtis in the late 80's early 90's), I have about half your revs bud.  This ball will be a great asset in my bag.

I have been looking at possibly getting one, but with a ball speed of 19.5-20, lowere revs, would it fit my game much? or would that really depend on the layout?

kay,

Depends on the layout, the condition you bowl on along with the other factors usually taken into consideration when choosing a ball for a customer.

Totally agree with Ex's assessment, but with the quick revving core, it may have a place in your bag depending on what you are going to try to use it on.

i have a polished to, if i remember right about 2000, phenom that i have had since xmas and have not had a use for. didnt give it a chance. have been using it the past 2 weeks and really liek the reaction i have been getting with it. gets farther down the lane than i am used to throwing but still comes back pretty hard. they are changin my house shot to a 32ft xmas tree patern buffed to 40ft. not sure the unit volume yet. that would be my main use. main balls are phenom and a dulled down heat.
