I just tried it on a Hex and so far I like it. The ball doesn't go as straight as you would think. It still covers some boards but it does add control downlane without the early hook of putting the MB on the VAL. It will quit which I like. Be careful of it quitting to soon or you will dime. Small hand changes will solve that.
I disagree about it being a waste in high end balls. I've tried it with some high end balls in the past and they were successful. The surface allowed me to play more oil on top hats but the layout allowed the ball to back off in the backend. Carry was not an issue. I plan on trying it on one of the Morpheus balls.
