I've struck a deal!! Now i need help drilling....
« on: August 07, 2006, 01:25:32 PM »
If everything goes right ill have the following balls coming to me

A Machine, a slash and a solution PP EX

thinking about revamping my arsenal and using these three as a good base

so heres my stats

300 RPM (guestimate)
15 degrees of tilt
15-16 mph ball speed
PAP 4-3/8 over 5/8 up

what layouts do you think i should go with...

i have something on the lighter end...an ebonite whirlwind drilled 5 x 4

any advice would be appreciated! Im really looking foreward to throwing track this fall!!!

Ps.  After all is said and done ill try and get a video up of all these so you guys can see the results

Hey Bar,

What reaction shape would you like on the equipment?

Here's one suggestion and we can tweak or I'll adjust the layouts based on your reply.

Machine - 4x4mb pin about 3 inches above mid line.  This will create good length on med/lite to med/med oil with a strong finish on the backend.

Slash(oob?) - 4x2 roll earlier and smoother for med/med oil, polish it and it'll fit between under the Machine and above the Solution EX

Solution PP EX - 4 1/8x3 with (visual - Pin above bridge cg right). This will also offer good length adn a stronger backend movement for med to med dry conditions.

Let me know if this is what you're looking for or we can adjust to any particular condition or shot that you encounter more, thanks.
