what league do you track guys bowl on?
« on: October 20, 2005, 06:14:59 PM »
How many of you track guys are playing on a sport/tough condition league that changes the pattern every few weeks or so?  I play on a league that throws out a tough shot every 4 weeks.  We use 4 different patterns thru out the season.  I love bowling at this place.  It's very tough to score but it is fun.  Plus there's a lot of money to be won every week.  A bowler at this league can walk out with up to about 2,000 in pot winnings in 1 week.

I use a 4 ball arsenal for this league.

animal (heavy oil to med heavy)
arsenal reactive (heavy oil to med heavy)
arsenal angular (med oil to light)
desert heat (dry to light oil)

I've been thinking of adding another arsenal angular drilled different to bring to this league.  I have read that skid flip balls are very difficult to use on tough patterns.  I don't find that to be the case when the transition begins.  Maybe on the fresh shot.  If any of you guys bowl on tough patterns you should look into the angular; great ball for when the lanes start to change.

Not a sport league, but my Classic league's shot is tougher than the THS. More outside, longer pattern, no buff at the end....makes for the guys who bowl during the week scratch their heads on Fridays!
