Behind the Bowling: Clint and the Robo Rules
« on: May 16, 2006, 01:49:25 AM »
HEY FASTTRACKERS!

I'm posting this because I would like Mr. Daley's input about all of the Robo Rules he currently has drilled. The burning question some of you maybe wondering is this...

Is it possible to get 10 different types of reactions with 10 different layouts on each of the Robo Rules that Clint possesses? A few people that I know in town have said that this is impossible..I would like to give Mr. Daley the floor to explain each layout he has on all of them and the different type of reaction shape he gets with all of them! Thank you for answering this Clint! God Bless You all and have a great week!

Ten,

You are exactly right, I am a speed dominant player, thus why this works for me....

Hey guys, I carried all 5 totes out of the bowling alley at once...just cause my wife helped me in with 2.....

This is a great approach to building an arsenal in my opinion.

Sorry chi but I have to respectfully disagree.  This is actually a very specific and conditional way of building a true arsenal for the average tweener.  I have to assume that you are also a little speed dominant or that your overall hook is minimal (10-15 boards) in your game.  We know that Clint throws pretty hard and firm, Kreitz also has high ball speed which can allow for this type of situation but overall for most players, this is a very difficult thing to do.

For anyone who matches up in speed to rev ratio or is rev dominant, it is almost impossible for them to throw one ball even with cover and layout differences to help them cover all conditions.  For any slower speed player who has to play the heads, coverstock is still very crucial in achieving the proper length to help achieve the proportionate amounts of skid, hook and roll.  a polished Robo still won't skid and clear properly or as easy as a Solution EX or Desert Heat will.  Then having to "force" a ball thru the heads brings in other problems of muscling or trying to get the ball to store the proper amount of stored/conserved energy for the backend for hitting power.

This situation again isn't bad for a speed dominant player but on an average, most bowlers are defined as somewhere between 14-16 mph and that isn't considered as having high ball speed.

Rick I understand what your saying.  I don't throw the ball slow.  I have slowed my ball speed down a lot from where it was a couple of years ago but it's still not slow.

I guess it would depend a lot on the ball one would be using for an arsenal like this.  I have built mine with a reactive pearl ball.  When dulled this ball can be used for heavy oil for me.  I can also use this ball on some dry lanes when it's in the OOB surface.

Like I have said before this has worked great for me and is the best arsenal I have ever had.

I do understand what your saying about slower ball speed bowlers and what not.  I can see where they would run into problems.

Well, If clint really want to be a gentlemen he would carry all those balls by himself....2 totes in each hand and 1 tote as a backpack. LOL!!!!
