a new bal
« on: January 08, 2007, 09:55:39 PM »
i currently hv a storm double agent for heavy oil and a bully for medium and above...i will usemy bully all the time unless its very oily...but nowadays me as a stroker found out tat the ball is too hooking for me...i cant bowl at board 20 to 10 becus the arc will be too big for me and its inconsistent...
now, i would like to hv a ball tat some where from board 17 to 10 which is a bit weaker but a bit more snap....
i tried to use scout b4 but it doesnt hook at all....it skids to the pin....i want some thing tat is a bit weaker than bully but a bit stronger than scout...
and how should i drill it?

Hey blouisk,

The ball you're looking for is our Equation. Everything you've described fits that ball to a "T".

In regards to layout, can you tell us how your Bully is drilled or put up a pic?  That will give us a better idea of how that ball is drilled and how to make the Equation fit underneath that for you, thanks.

tq so much for ur reply....
my cg is 2 5/8" from the middle of the ring finger about 5.30 o clock.
the pin is 2" and 1 oclock above ring finger(some pro shop guts say this pin place ment made the ball hook less...cg is 4 " 2 o clock direction from pap(i am not good at these things.....)
i just scared that it will turn up like my scout ....skids through till the end of the lane....i just want a bit more snap and skid than my bully not too much(i dun throw a high hook ball)

Not to worry, the Equation has a much stronger coverstock comparatively.  Hoping I understand you correctly, the pin is above the ring finger with the cg almost in alignment beneath it?

I'd suggest the Equation with the pin above the ring finger (same position is as Bully) but let's move the cg out right about 1-2 inches from the pin (if we were to draw a straight line down from the pin).  This will help give you a little earlier roll vs the skid flip look but will still have a strong arc on the backend.
