Why did I lose intrest in Track?
« on: February 19, 2007, 12:45:06 PM »
Well, when I was about 13 (I am about 16 now), I used to think Track was the most amazing thing out. They had some pretty good equipment, and when the Machine came out, everyone was raving over how great it was. I shot my first honor scores with the ball, including 5 290's an 801 and a whole lot of 279's.

Now I have sort of slipped away, to throwing bigger and better things in my opinion. Why is this? Why did I lose intrest?

Basically, in my opinion, everything sort of went down hill after Del Warren left. He was creating good balls and coming out with some pretty good stuff, and doing his job as a good ball making company would do.

Has anyone else lost intrest in Track Industries? I am just wondering because they used to be a great company, and now they cannot guarantee a bowling ball will be shipped out. I am just asking what the deal is. Track will seriously need to bounce back and come back with new products if Ebonite is looking to keep them. I am sorry if I sound hatred, but I just don't know why I have lost so much interest in a good bowling company.

There are lots of good balls out there and it could be you just got side tracked temporarily. Track is still making excellent balls, or Ebonite would not have decided to keep them as a brand. (I'm pretty sure they have, from everything I have read so far.)

It is much easier to keep a real arsenal (and knowing what ball to use next, when going up or down the line) when you have one or two ball companies supplying your balls. Track was getting back "online" with a fuller arsenal with balls such as the Equation2, when the "manure hit the ventilator shaft" about 8 - 10 months ago, within Columbia. Once the dust settles, I believe the Track brand manager(s) will get things back into shape.

i definitely have not lost my interest in track, in fact i use pretty much my equation for my league as long as possible and love the reaction
--------------------
When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one

This guy on youtube posts videos of the PBA
for ppl who dont watch TV or want to save the matches this will be great!

Couldn't say it any better Charlest.  I understand your frustration ThaCrank (and others) but this was simply indicative of what was to come.  Ebonite is a stronger company which has been in the black which allowed them to keep key personnel in the company longer which helped create a more stable enviroment.

As our industry keeps spinning out of control with more and more changes(equipment and customer needs), it's crucial to have the right people in place who can help maintain that stability needed to guide each ball division in its proper direction.

I too have lost interest in Track. Personally I feel like I started to lose the interest once Del Warren took over the company.  Was starting to gain some interest once Phil took over, was actually planning on purchasing a Phoenix but now that ideal is a thing of the past.  Now with Ebonite running the show I will probably be done with the company.

Tue's trio league on fresh oil using an Inertia: 237,231,243 & 246. Love my current line of Track products but I must admit I am skeptical about the future. I like Del and the product at that time seems to fit my style well. Strictly in a wait and see attitude now. Got to say I'm not to impressed with the current happenings.
