Voodoo.....Still my go to ball
« on: August 21, 2005, 04:33:46 PM »
I am ready to petition Track to remake the Voodoo..(don't say they did with the Crash as was nowhere close to it..in my humble opinion..)

This ball always keeps me in play.  It still hits like it did from day one. Playable on the toughest of shots, controllable yet strong.  Have found nothing to replace it....

This will be in my bag until it gets to the size of a marble....lol

The Crash has a different coverstock-- the Powerplus Pearl is not the equivalent of the enhanced Superflex solid coverstock that was on the Voodoo.  The Crash is thus longer, flippier, worse on carrydown, less predictable and less versatile.

Senior, the Voodoo was my favorite ball of all time...I suggest we go down to San Antonio and hold a vigil until Del comes out to talk to us...

Crash was over under unless you took the shine off...the different covers made the Crash that way vs the VooDoo. Crash was still a good ball, on the right condition.

Phillip,

I agree...we can sit at Dick's Last Resort and drink sensibly until Del comes to his senses and re-releases the Voodoo..

Crash was a decent ball but very condition specific....

My crash does not look like a pearl...but ok. It's not specified as a pearl on track's website either, but that could be a misprint. I actually found it to be a very good ball in carrydown for my game, however, I have a high track and little axis of rotation. I never threw the voodoo, so I don't know.
