Was kind of looking at this ball, but just not much practical info out there. Saw a few videos, but those tend to make everything look like a beast, and I was looking for something from people who have used it, and can be objective about how it compares to others they’ve used.
Looking at both the pearl and the solid.

I have the Tundra Pearl and absolutely love it for dry lanes. It never seems to over hook or make a big jump. It is definitely my go to ball when the lanes are burnt. It's just a nice predictable motion and I'm sure the solid is even smoother. I have the pin in my ring finger and I'm a medium rev/medium speed bowler.

That sounds good.
Every once in a while we get a decent condition, but probably 80% of it is on dryish stuff.
Last week, we had an absolutely fresh shot (we had to wait for them to finish oiling), and I ended up having to throw my spare ball (an old red pearl Hammer) for a strikeball.
I’ve got an Intel Pearl drilled pin down ( big drill angle with about a 4 inch p to p), but after putting my feet against the ball return and playing the fourth arrow, only to leave back to back to back solid nines, I gave that idea up. And this was the first game! Made 640 throwing a nearly thirty year old ball it was so hooky.

I have both the Tundra and Tundra Solid. The Tundra has been my main ball for the last 2 years in league. I am a med speed higher rev bowler. My Tundra is drilled pin above ring finger which gives me good length with a controlled move to the pocket. I shot 767 last Saturday night in our mixed league with it.
I have been experimenting with surface changes on the Tundra Solid, it is 6-8 boards stronger than my Tundra. I can move inside on the fresh and it starts it move mid lane and makes a smooth continuous move the the pocket.

Went in and ordered them both today. With the price the PSO offered if I got them both, I couldn’t pass them up.
$238 for the pair, drilled with grips and slugs, out the door and ready to go.
Getting them drilled up hopefully this Saturday.
Nothing like a ball whore getting his “fixâ€, lol.

High RG stuff for the win. Those balls look sweet. Might have went that route if dry house machines didn't eat reactives but couldn't be happier with the new purple hammer. EBI has some nice stuff especially on the not super strong end.

Yeah, I hear you. Also just recently picked up a 900 Global Shadow Ops I really like. Tried throwing it straight off eBay, but it’s just too long. Gonna take it with me Saturday and get it fixed. My dry lane problems should be over then, as I also just got a Brunswick Twist (which is a true weak reactive), and already have several older original urethane from “the old daysâ€, lol.
Now watch. They’ll decide to change the shot and put a flood. 😁

OK, two sessions in, and I can say that the Tundra solid is a definite winner for me, while the jury is still out on the pearl.
The solid is one of those “where the heck has this been†pieces for me. On the fresh, BEFORE the transition, I’ve used it to shoot 277-204 the first session, then 237-280 tonight.
The pearl is not really the “step down†compliment though. While the solid clears the fronts and really reads the friction, once it breaks down, the pearl really doesn’t do the same, and I’ve gotten lost in the transition two sessions in a row, absolutely ruining what could’ve been really great series. Think I’m going to put the pearl at 3000 like the solid is and see if it responds to the surface change the way I’m hoping it does.
This isn’t really a review, just an observation. If you struggle a bit with medium to lighter shots, the solid seems to thrive on that as long as you have backends, at least for me.
Really good ball I wish I had tried sooner. Not overly aggressive, reads friction well, blends out the “wet/dry†line on our THS, and has that “rolly†nature I like in a ball. Now, if I can just figure out that last game move.....

Yeah hit the pearl with 3000 or 4000. I hit mine with a used 3000 by hand it became a really good option for steeping down.

Was hoping for some positive feedback on the idea. I’m gonna get it done this Saturday while I’m getting my Amethyst drilled.
Maybe one of them will be the look I’m going for.
