Hey there guys,

Excaliber and I are going to try to bowl the Hoinke on August 23-25 (somewhere on those days). This is an open invitation to all of you Tracksters (or not, like you Jeffrevs

) to join us and have some fun. I may even give an impromptu core lesson (if anyone wants), I have some ball slices I can bring to help give you guys some visuals.

Rev_O, Clint or any other staffers, can you guys join us? How about you Charlest? Talked to Ernie McCracken last nite, he's very interested.

This is a tentative schedule of my trip home to the midwest:
Cincinnati - 8/23 - 8/25
Chicago - 8/25 - 8/28 Don't know if I can bowl in Chicago, I'll be with family then.

I'd like to see Chapman throw the ball in person so I can stand behind him and clap my hands to..."Hercules, Hercules, Hercules"...

Please post your reply if your interested so we can even set up dbls/teams here before we go. Carl and I are looking forward to meeting you guys....seeing your game will also help us layout your future Track equipment.

Here's the cost of the regular Hoinke...
Singles - $48
Doubles - $34 per person
Team - $34 per person
A/E - $15

It is still a condition that can challenge a bowler. Alot like nationals in that if you get lined up you can score very well, but if you are off the lanes can make you look bad.

Cody,

I am not money hungry by any means. But you will learn when you get older, that when you put your shoes on, its time to bowl and only bowl. You can always have a good time after trying to make every shot count. If I am wrong, then let the old timers correct me.

I might have the wrong attitude for this get together. I would like to meet some of the people on the board and throw a few and hoist one if they drink.

I have many memories for this tournament with people that are no longer with us.

FYI,

I will gather up names from here and list them to see how many we get. I hear all your responses and yes, Carl will be checking for us to make sure whether we have to make reservations or not since many will be travelling a fair amount to get there.

Shipper, I hear you. As much as I enjoy and have fun bowling, I always try to cash too. Feel free to bring a partner for yourself if we can't find someone here for you to bowl with.

Where's MC, aharvey? I need you guys to persuade Rev_O to join us, even I want to be able to say I bowled with the highest avg in the nation (still being verified, I think). Not many will get to say that....Mitch, would be great to meet you also if you could squeeze it in.

Big Columbia, would you pls do us a favor and list some close and safe hotels in the area? Thanks...

And I "WILL" be printing a shirt for Cody as the Official Track Ball Boy!!...

I was told to relay a message that Ernie McCracken is in but has been booted out of BR for some reason....I said it was his combover.

Anyone else? I'd better find airline tickets to match these dates now....

Rick,

The main hotel most have used in the past was the Imperial house. Its about 10-15 mins away from the bowling alley. I am not sure if the squad organizer would get a break or not. One might call the Western bowl and see if these dates are available?
