Title: arsenal reactive question
Post by: lilphyzx on April 20, 2006, 02:55:08 AM
Hey fellas i have arsenal reactive with the pin above and in between the fingers with the cg kicked out to the right. I have descent revs but I notice with this drill that if I dont hit up on the ball it rolls out on me. Anybody else experience this or know how I can change the reaction a bit.

Hey Lilphyzx,

I had an Arsenal Reactive with a Pin Above the Ring Finger layout and I felt the same way you did about yours. This ball rolled out horribly! My first one I had Pin Below the Ring Finger and she worked great. The only Arsenal I have in the arsenal is the Artillery and I'm very pleased with that one! God Bless You buddy and have a great week!

I had one with the fingers on the centerline, about 4 1/2 inches above the midline with the cg in the palm....ball was money on carrydown shots....other than that...couldn't use it UNTIL I hit it with some Delayed Reaction....then it was very playable as a medium ball with some serious backend move...although it did not like dirty backends at all at this point, but a much better ball overall!

Hey lilphyzx,

It sounds more like the condition is a little too dry for the ball.  The AR is pretty strong OOB if that's the surface you currently have it at.  The other explanation to the added length when you hit up on it is because revs cause skid and when you get the additional skid, that's when you can get some finish.  I have one drilled exactly the same and I can only use on when the head oil is heavier so I'd recommend to try it on a heavier condition or move left into the center oil more to produce the needed skid so the ball doesn't expend its energy too quickly.  Hope this helps explain some...

I may have to just save it for the right condition. I thought about trying polish on it to change the reaction a bit. I definitely like the ball but i hate having to hit up on it to make it work. What do u guys think of adding polish to it.

I had one with that same drilling and I didnt have any roll out. We all roll the ball different though!
Of course, the house I bowl at had plenty of head oil at all times!
