C'mon Rock, what kind of "real" bowler are you that you don't bowl on Thansgiving!

Sorry guys, I completely forgot.  My suggestion is that for those who do get to bowl, you get to use week 4 (+ or -) and those who don't, will end up as is so we can start Dec on time.  I'll honor the scores posted by Andrew when he finalizes Nov., sound fair?  If not just holler....thanks.

PS. Guess we might have the same situation over Xmas and New Years too.

Or maybe we could use a substitute score...

Example, I wont get to bowl on Thursday. So, I can notify you of what other league I want to use my scores from and basically just add/subtract the over/under from my current total. In turn, I would use the highest average from either of my other 2 leagues and post scores that way. However, whatever league is chosen is the only other league you can post scores from during the remainder of the tourney if we have another "holiday" week. What do you think of that??

I only suggest that we are allowed to use another league so that we dont lose out on the possibility of gaining pins in the standings.

In the original post where the rules for this tourney were being discussed, it was determined that if you missed a week, for whatever reason (i.e. injury, bye, etc.) then you would take a +0 for that week.
For verification, this was posted by tenpinspro on 10/15/2004 02:42pm in the thread http://www.ballreviews.com/Forum/Replies.asp?CategoryID=2&ForumID=14&TopicID=65008&PageNum=3

Well, if that is the case...umm, the two weeks I bowled under my average, umm, I was, umm, absent...yeh, that's the ticket...I didn't bowl those two weeks...yeh, I don't even know how I posted those negative scores, I wasn't even at the bowling alley...I was absent...

Well, since I was under average for the first three weeks, then I should claim I was absent too.  However, another of tenpinspro's rules was honesty.  Damn rules - they always get in the way!

Hey Rock,

Clutch brings up a very good point.  It was stated so easier just to keep it that way.  Sorry about that bud...I didn't remember either.  You guys have to remind this "old" man about stuff..

Plus I don't think anybody can catch Aristotle, what a month! 354 pins over from 192 to 201 in a month, WOW!  Great bowling Aristotle...wanna sub on my scr league for me?

Only if I get some free lessons and some discounts on equipment. I think the largest part of my scoring is between shaking off a summer's worth of rust and my balls coming closer to actually fitting me again. Now if I could just stop putting on weight, maybe I can stop goofing off with my thumb pitches so much. lol!

I think it's almost safe to say that we can establish Aristotle as our first entrant into the TOC.  I would personally find it easier if I completely deleted this topic and started a new one for December...all in favor?

How about just starting a new one "BR Track Tourney - averages/results (Dec.)" and leave this one here until Sunday just in case some one does what is nearly impossible.

The sad part is that I might have to drop out for a few months. Of course, it's going to start getting harder and harder to have +100 weeks like I did over the last month, since my average is getting back to where it belongs. On a more somber note, December might be my last month for a few sessions. I was given both good and bad news by my oncologist (Cancer doc). The tumor that has me going through chemo is almost gone. It's basically too small to measure, so it's safe to say that by the time we make it through the next 4 treatments, it will be non-existant. The bad news is that isn't the end of the treatment. Once the tumor is gone, the affected lymph node is going to be subjected to radiation treatment, most likely on a daily basis for a period of 6 weeks. Since the places that I have to go for treatment are limited, I am going to be basically dropping bowling for that time frame. Looks like I will either be going to LA (Doubtful) or Fresno (Unfortunately has to be my first choice because of my kid). In any event, it's nice to see some light at the end of the tunnel, even tho it's going to cut into my regular life.

Hey Aristotle,

I think that's great news my friend.  Bowling will always be here for you.  Plus the fact that we weren't going to allow multiple winners, you're already set for the TOC.  Drop me a line and let me know what you want, I just ordered some more towels from Track.  If not, I've got a few cleaners plus I've got some other knick knacks in the shop.  Thanks and congratulations for being our 1ST Track POA winner!

PS. Other good part about Fresno, that's only 2.5 hrs from me.  Maybe when you get enough rest, you can make a trip to see me for that "complimentary lesson" if you're up to it.
