Need some advice please!
« on: March 23, 2007, 06:30:31 AM »
Hello everyone. About 10 years ago I was just starting to really into bowling. I was only 16 and was hired for my first job at a bowling alley, so obviously I was turned on to it. Unfortunately it only lasted for a couple of years and I have been out of the game ever since. I have recently decided to get back into it b/c I really did enjoy it and I miss it too. My problem is that it seems many things on the market have changed and I don't know what to get. I have been reviewing balls and to be honest I just don't know what half of this stuff means. I know that I am looking for something with a lot of hook potential b/c this was my style of bowling in the past, but I want something I am able to control b/c I'm obviously a little rusty. I am considering the Brunswick Fury and the Ebonite Total NV. Would anyone recommend either of these balls to someone like me? If not, do you have any suggestions? Thanks for any help!

Something that will hook, yet you can control....easy.

Hammer Black Widow, have the MB put on the opposite side of the thumb hole.

The balls you mentioned are skid/flip.....hard(er) to control.

Good Luck!

On Edit:  Sorry, you mentioned the Fury, that should be a smoother reaction since it is dull, but it will hook, or at least it is supposed to?
