Great ball. Love it for what it is made for. Hits harder then you would ever think a dryer lane ball would do. Hits and carries as well as about any other ball out there, for any type of conditions. Looks good too! I've rolled many a 200 with that ball on dry lanes.

i absolutely love it.

757 first series on serious dry oil lanes.

Hooks and hits just like a machine, but for light oil.

Great ball.. have nothing bad to say about it at all.

Hey Crusher,

The Desert Heat is Track's true dry lane ball. Some people here in town where I bowl that have it feel it definitely serves its purpose buddy! Let us know how it works for you if you decide on one! God Bless You and have a great week!

Thanks Everyone! (except J mac)
I have heard Track is good, but I have never thrown Track. If I decide on the Desert Heat I'll let you know how it goes!
J Mac, I did read those reviews!:0 (What a Shocker) I needed some live responses(the kind that talk back) which you simply did not have! Thanks for the mature comment, and have a good life!

Pin,

It is an awesome ball for shorter patterns, dry lanes, and second shifts...HOWEVER< from what I understand, it has recently been discontinued, so you better get one quick IF you decide to get one. Don't forget, buy one BEFORE August 31st, and you will receive a $15 rebate from Track when you send in the receipt and proof of purchase!

If you like the reactions most other Track balls give you, you might like this one dryer lanes. I personally didnt like it. I actually preffer the Tropical Strom. The Desert Heat does hit fairly well though.

This ball kills on light oil. To give you an idea. I shot 268 in the final game of a 3 game set on a Third shift shot for the most part. ( Lanes were oiled in the morning before the league, then there was open play, the evening league then us on the late league.

I got mine drilled weak. Wit pin under middle finger and cg kicked out under the ring finger.

Likes
Getting through the heads
hitting power on broken down shots

Dislikes
When on fresh shot ball tends to slid to far and hit like a pumpkin.

tropical storms aren't made like the desert heat. the tropical storm is nothing compared to the desert heat. the desert heat kills on light...

The Desert has a core, while most other "dry" lanes balls are just a pancake core and thus why they hit weak sometimes. The Desert for the money is tough to beat!

FWIW, the Tropical Storm has the least "pancake" core of the entry level balls.  Unless you start factoring the Vibes from Hammer I suppose.  Hmm...

The Tropical Storm does have a core in it (not a pancake). If I could get a Track Heat for less than $70 that would be great, because drilling is $40. I haven't seen a Heat on ebay.

When I was talking about other dry lane balls, I did not name a certain ball as I was not talking about a specific ball, thus why I said MOST and didn't even name a brand.

Pin, sometimes you get what you pay for. If you knwo what I mean
