still steaming about track's marketing in general though...oh well...
and the requirement to buy a delta...to make a video...w/the carrot promise of maybe you could be on their staff....in the meantime....they can "steal/use" any marketing ideas you might submit...boy...talking about having your cake and eating it too...marie antwonett would be proud...oh well

Nice bowling sammy!

I look at it this way, for those who are buying new balls from different companies, what bonus are they getting?  They're going to buy a new ball anyway right?  At least Track is offering the possiblity of something in return....

One question, anyone here "ever been paid" by ANY other company for a suggestion they made?  "I want a hard ball, I want to see this cover in this core, I want a plastic spare ball, I would like to see a ball selector..etc".  I thought this was catering to the consumers needs, not "stealing and just using an idea".

My question to everyone to submit their thoughts was to simply help facilitate a concept which may make more people happy. It was an open and honest question from me, not conveyed to me through Track.  I ran the Track BR tourney last year for fun and gave away the monthly prizes out of my pocket.  It was not until the end that I asked Track for help and they were generous enough to give away a ball (drilled and shipped by me) and a shirt.

Just as I continue to help people in this forum for "free".  I am trying my best to keep everyone satisfied and happy with their Track equipment cause that's what I do.  I'm sorry but I don't know what else to say to you guys who feel the same as Sammy.

and this is totally unrelated to the issue at hand....

extremely NICE gesture on your part and track as well...both parties should be commended on this....however....current appearances are a 180 degree turn-around...at least on track's part....

oh and my final two cents on marketing....then I'll just stick to bowling...

IF TRACK really wanted the BEST bowler as addition to their staff...they would open the competion up to any/all balls...by ANY company....not...

""I look at it this way, for those who are buying new balls from different companies, what bonus are they getting? They're going to buy a new ball anyway right? At least Track is offering the possiblity of something in return""...

good luck w/it anyways....esp...Rick ..if you're doing it yourself...meanwhile...I'll just continue to throw my now obselete gp2, slash, animal, exception, in tourney's and league....

Sammy, great bowling!

I understand your frustration about the Delta, but your current stuff is anything but obsolete. I just drilled 5 GP2s, 2 Animals, and a new Xception original in the past week for myself. The equipment is still very good, and while it is not the newest stuff out, it still has a place in my bag and it sounds like yours as well.

It's relative because I've shown and proven a history along with all my layout suggestions and endless emails trying to help a bowler improve his/her game. My intentions here have been nothing but for the bowler.

See above statement to validate my time and effort here on BR.  We've discussed many times on this forum what people would like to see and either I would bring it to the attention of Track or they see it by reading it themselves.  I started and gathered data for a Chicago/Midwest Track seminar for the bowlers which I then just passed on to Track about their interests.  I did this also for the bowlers.

I respect your opinion and see how it can be misinterpreted but I also wrote this statement after I explained the difficulty I saw in making it fair(my opinion).
