Sport shots and Track: A wonderful combination
« on: August 17, 2006, 02:41:18 PM »
I must say thank you to all the Track pro shop guys who've been helpful through the years with layouts for my equipment- from Rick to Carl to Clint and anyone else I've forgotten- along with my pro shop drillers at DJ's Pro Shop (John and Chris). Over the past few weeks I've been able to make the right moves and ball changes to throw back to back 600 series on 2 different short sport patterns. Two weeks ago I threw 215-205-203= 623 on a low volume 30' sport shot, using an Animal for games one and two and a Solution Power Plus Ex for game three. Anything inside of 7 board was hooking right instantly, so I had to play precise shots down 4 or 5 board all night long. This week I bowled even better on a 37' medium volume pattern, shooting 240-188-226= 654. I started with my Rule playing 13-8 for game one and half of game two, then made a move inside with my Solution Power Plus Ex and slow wheeled it 20-12 for the rest of the night.

Currently averaging 185.17 with one week to go in the league- and I'm getting two new pieces drilled up tomorrow.

Matt

Hey Matt,

Good bowling buddy.  Still admire you for being one of the few who can bowl on 2 different shots where your average is 30 pins different but you just keep plugging away at that tougher shot and never whine or complain.  That's being a true bowler bud.  Keep up the good work...

Matt,

The ball can only work well when the bowler does his/her part. Good bowling!

Yeah, I have to say I've had more success on Sport conditions and PBA shots with Track and MoRich than any of the other companies.

Quality stuff for my game. Just a great match.

Me: "I was having trouble with my thumb hole, so I had to sit there and finger my balls for like 5 minutes."
Wife: "Heh, that's more than you've done for me lately."
Me: "Yeah, well my balls don't BLEED for a week out of every month."

I'm not sexist. I just don't trust anything that bleeds for 5 days and doesn't die.

Nice bowling Matt...sports shots definately bring back some of the fun / challenge to the game don't they?

I saw your two new balls last week in the shop...drop me a line and let me know how they are working out thus far.

Chris: So far I love the look of the Equation on house shots, I've been able to open up the lane a little bit more based on the layout of the ball. The Mean Machine seems to need a lot more oil, so I will let you know better how it works out after seeing the reaction tonight in my sport shot league.

Ended up the season on a 41' heavy oil volume pattern- unfortunately there was zero back end so trying to use the Mean Machine was a no win proposition in practice. So I used my pin down Animal all three games, frozen rope off the gutter. Covered all my spares, had 2 splits in game two and 1 split in game three for a 203-173-196= 572 series. We took 5 out of 8 points, ended up in first place for the season!!!

Final average was 185.59, I think good enough for 4th out of 45 bowlers (high average was 190). Thanks to Track.... now it's time for the fall season to begin.
