Heat Blast vs. Solution PP Ex.....
« on: July 19, 2006, 10:25:47 AM »
I'm curious about these two bowling balls. How similar are they? Or are they similar?

When I had both of them, they were drilled indentical...to me, the Blast was earlier and more even...Ex was longer with more punch on the backend.

What they, Clint and Chewmeister say, can virtually be deduced and expected from what the balls are.
Blast: polished solid with rollier shaped core and higher Differential
Soln PP EX: solid/pearl combo with flippier shaped core and lower Differential.

That they react as predicted is a Track good thing, as this does not always happen with all brands and all compared balls.

Tracks comparative numbers for length and backend back all this up.

Hey Chuck,

I have both of mine drilled Pin Above the Ring Finger. The only difference is that recently I had a weight hole put in the Heat Blast because the Desert Heat was outhooking the Blast. This was totally unacceptable to me. Once the hole was punched. The Blast came out of the shell and shocked me as I fired back to back 250+ games with it! Very smooth and predictable after I did this. The Solution Power Plus EX is a very skid/snappy ball in my opinion.

Overall differences to me is that the Blast is smoother and has quite some pop on the backend while the Solution EX is more snappier on the backend. Hope this helps some buddy! God Bless You and have a great week!
