Track hook monsters and Doc's Elixir
« on: November 09, 2003, 08:10:03 PM »
I bought a couple of Freaks when they first came out, but I believe they sucked up oil very fast causing the ball to lose a lot of reaction.  I put one Freak up for several months and let the ball dry out.  Then when I decided to go to Detroit and bowling their oil, I pulled the Freak back out, cleaned the surface with Clean and Dull on a burgundy scotch brite pad and finished the ball with Hook  It.  Got the surface very hot from the friction.  Then I put some Doc's Elixir on the ball and have been swinging the oil in several local houses.  After every set I clean the ball with Neo Tac's Nitro and the ball is holding up tremendously better.  Doc says the Elixir will last about 20 games, so I'll set the ball up again before I go to Detroit.  I also put the Elixir on a newly drilled Raging Inferno and a Player and I have had tremendous success.  Just have to clean the surface with Nitro before going home and the reaction has been tremendously consistent.

Just my opinion.
