Kinetic Scores Big!
« on: August 29, 2008, 05:28:33 AM »
The last Track ball that I truely loved was I believe the Critical Mass Code Red about 10 years ago. I bought the Kinetic about half way through last season and since i've been throwing up numbers left and right. I averaged around 235 for the second half of the season using primarily the Kinetic, which was up from my 220ish for the first half, finished the season at 226. Last Wednesday took the cake though. It was the first night of league and I hadn't picked up a ball in 2 months. I went up early, threw about 6 frames of practice and then went to my pair to begin the actual practice session feeling pretty comfortable (As we all know taking time off is a great way to forget all the bad habits you pick up from over thinking in the season).

My first game I threw a 216, flagging a 10 pin to the right.... never happens, usually miss by a hair left if I miss them. After that I corrected my limp wrist issue and stayed more firm with my shots. I proceeded to shoot 300 and 300 for an 816 series. I've had higher 800 series but this will by far go down as the 2nd biggest highlight of my career (outside of a baker 300 game my team shot and I anchored while bowling in college, sport shot - Sectionals). I've been nothing but amazed with how well the New Track equipment has been coming out.

I know some of you will ask so my layout is pretty simple. The pin is about 1" above and 1" to the right of my ring finger and is a stacked layout. I believe it is a 3.5/4" pin, can't remember its in the car right now and I don't feel like going out to check it. I've got a weight hole I think about 6"s from center of my palm. I'll see about getting a picture posted of it, but no guarantees. Can't remember the top weight either.

I will definately be buying a few more of the Original Kinetics and I'm pretty sure that I will be buying the Up-Rising and the Kinetic Pearl. I'm definately sold on track now although i'm not a one company man. I wouldn't mind that though

Hope this post inspires others to try some track equipment if you haven't yet. Your expectations will definately be surpassed and your average will appreciate it.
