Well....The tournament is meant as fun..not for someone to win a ball. If and when Rick chimes in he can give everyone the rules if he wants to start it up again. Let's not be rediculous asking for a ball...again use common sense.

Last year it was a tourney for anyone who throws a track ball. It didnt matter if you were youth or adult.      Rick/Loose ran it.

on edit.. it went PLUS PINS OVER YoUR AVERAGE.. say your average was 120 360 is your series.. say you shoot 560 that day     your +200 for that week. We did it Monthly, so whoever was + the most won for that month.. Then in the end Rick and Andrew took the top 12 bowlers (Unless multiple i think) and had an ALL-STAR week. The winner last year was aerstotle (sp? sorry) and he won a Track Freak-A-Zoid. Rick suprised us all with that. The 2nd place person TraumaBill won a Track Polo. I think thats all, any questions, please feel free to PM me, rick, or loose and we will hook you up with more info!

Actually, it turned out to be a CT, since the FAZ was a 15# and I only throw 16#. Either way, it turned out to be a hell of a surprise and a great ball! You can count me in for the tourney, but I doubt that I will have the success that I did last year.

You guys were reading my mind!  Only one catch before we can start, I may be moving the tourney to our designated Track site of startabowlingrevolution.com "IF" we can open up a text area there.

It would only be fitting that the Revolution be on the Revolution site.  I still have to talk to Brian about this to see what will happen.  At least there we can also have some control on postings as I do not want any unnecessary comments or posts to hit.

Anyone have a set of last years rules?  I've reformatted my pc about 5 times since then.  If not, that's okay, I can recreate them.

Rick,

I think it was using your highest average league ( or one that bowls once a week).

You had to list entering average, set for the night, giving pins over/under for the night and the Track ball(s) used.  Had to bowl with Track product only, although any mfg plastic balls were ok for spares.

If you didn't bowl with Track, it was dq for the week/month.

Winner was highest pins over average total for the month.

TOC was monthly winners.

I have a couple of ideas on the TOC for this year, basically mirroring the PBA version, keeping last X number of monthly winners....

It was the average you have the night you bowl ( ie. 190 avg., bowl a 600 and you had a + 30 for that week), and the average could/would change from week to week, depending on how you bowl, good or bad.

Also it was four weeks (there was allot of discussion on this one), if there happens to be 5 weeks, because of the day of the week  you bowl, for you it was the first 4 weeks, this was done so some could not take the best 4 weeks they bowled. Some had plus for the month others had a minus . There was no make up, or pre-bowl, or if you did miss a week you had to use just the weeks you ACTUALY bowled, no excuses.

Every one who was in sent their starting average along with the day of the week they were using and what they bowled , and any changes due to bowling good or bad to who was keeping track, of Tourny, this could be done after every has started and established an average, and pick a start  month so every one starts the same.

You had to pick one of the nights you bowl and couldn't change after that. You have to use TRACK equipment.  Once last year one member was honest enough to admit he didn't use Track for that week and took a 0 for that week.

We also need to send in what you bowl for the week as soon as possible, day or two at the latest, seemed like last year there were one or two that waited till almost the end of the month to send in the entire month, after seeing what every one else had bowled!  To stop any problems maybe score needs to be sent in before the next week, you bowl or you loose the prior week !!!!!!!!!

It was fun, just need to keep simple and honest.

Starting this in October I think would probably be the fairest way.

The way it was before you had to use only Track, if you used any thing else score/scores do not count for that week, at least last year it was that way. You  can use any plastic spare ball.

Guess this is why it was called a "Track Tournament" last year.

I am thinking about being in, but I have 1 important question to ask.

I have 2 Track balls and 2 Brunswick balls(Phenom Unleashed, Heat, Inferno, Blazing Inferno) and I plan on bringing all 4 plus my spare to league nights. My question is, if I use say my Heat for games 1 and 2 and the reaction forces me to change to the Blazing Inferno, does the series count or do I have to take a 0 or do the 2 games bowled with the Heat count? Just curious.

Besides, I want some clarity on the rules if y'all don't mind.

Thanks again,

Chewie

Brunswick + Track = BrunsTrack = A winning combo!

4 ways to victory:

Unleash the Phenom's fury
Release an Inferno on the lanes
Turn up the Heat on the competition
Burn up the pins with a Blazing Inferno

And if those don't work, I don't know what will!

No, your scores would not count, you would recieve a 000/000/000 for the week.

Thanks guys, few things to help clarify.

1) MUST use a Track ball at all times except on spares, plastic is okay.
2) Average used will be current as of that week.  We can decide whether we start using avg after 12 games or highest last year avg if 12 hasn't been reached yet.
3) Must use highest average if you have multiple leagues at the beginning of the month.  That league will have to be used throughout the month.

What else guys, pls refresh my quickly fading memory....Joe Falco always gets a kick out of that one.  Which by the way, was one of our very honest participants who withdrew because he wasn't going to be able to use a Track ball all the time.  I think Loose did it too during the tourney...couldn't hold his speed to match his 700 rpms...

I'll let you guys pick who to help handle/run it, I'll be busy with the shop and all.  Thanks!

Rick, in reply to what you put.....I will say it on the phone to you later to avoid being edited here

To everyone else....I have a story from when we were in Cinci at the Hoinke that you may find pretty funny.

"We walked into a steak house for dinner. The Hostess asked us how many were in our party and we answered. She then turned to Rick's wife and asked her if she needed a booster seat for Rick to sit in."
