Rising Drilling
« on: June 07, 2008, 02:10:54 PM »
Hey everyone, as most of u know i was given a used RISING by the ever so generous and AWESOME SCOOT. I was wondering if any of u guys have used anything other than the 3 drillings on the sheet??? and what happened. Idk if the suggested would turn the corner but idk. Im VERY low rev but looking to change that and i track very high. I was going to get a cell but want to use this for that spot instead. Any ideas??? or should i just go with the suggested. I want it to roll early but not go flat ten because its not turning the corner hard enough. Thanks everyone.

Im so glad people are brainwashed to thinking that if they buy a new ball they will carry everything. And its even funnier when im carrying with my 15 year old ball and they''re going flat ten.

I would love a thumb mold, but its SO much money. I don't have a job right now so this is gonna have to wait anyway because when i do this i have to plug 3 balls, a spare ball, this, and maybe an absolute inferno.

Well i have 2 balls that fit well so i guess i should just copy off it. But i just don't have good luck with drillers and when im not driving its hard to drive to a lot of places.

That is understood, I went through 4 drillers, well am on my 4th and now have everything going great. I seriously drive him nuts with a lot of phone calls and multiple ball purchases when I do it to be more economical. Things are good for me now, and I wish the best for you, and its worth a shot, bring up exactication to your driller. I swear having a thumb mold is a godsend, its so awesome to the exact same feel ball to ball.

I'm really surprised about the money issue, for me it was not bad at all, maybe 30 bucks for the mold and then 10 bucks a ball to get slugs changed. It was definitely worth it, just think, you could cut some grass, or have a birthday or sell some old stuff, it really wouldn't be too hard to get to that amount if you set a budget/savings-spending plan and follow it.

haha walt want to cut my grass haha

but yea he isnt lying the prices here are rediculas for everything molding the actual thumb is a cost in itsself and then actually paying for the molds are pricey in themselves

almost not worth it i actaully just find more luck in just having the thumb drilled close to the shape of my thumb then ill just adjust it myself i find it to be more fitting that way anyways u can never get anything to fit exactly tthe same no matter what u do ive noticed

Mike, i wish i could HAVE a birthday now lol then again in January but Ethinically that wouldn't be right lol. I might try and sell a few things but its gonna be 50 for the rising to plug, 35 for the spare and 35 for absolute add-on the molds for my 2 other balls also and its gonna be A LOT

Walt, you wont have to pay for pluging this one. Also keep in mind this rising was not used much. It had the thumb plugged to have a span fixed and has seen maybe at the most 3 full sets. That is about it.
