Not a great start with the Power Machine
« on: March 29, 2007, 11:47:35 AM »
But it was a tough condition on Tuesday this week.  I wasn't alone in my struggles, and was still just a few pins under average for the night.  I know when I see guys lofting the gutter cap there's a bit too much dry for my normal game.    I liked the reaction I was seeing from the ball, and I hope to see more oil next week for it.  The angularity on the dry was leaving me a few too many big rails.

Mr. Lebowski, this is Bill Salnicker with the Southern Cal Bowling League, and I just got a, an informal report, that a member of your team, uh, Walter Sobchak, drew a firearm during league play. If this is true of course, it contravenes a number of the league's by-laws, and article 27 of the league...

Ryan,

Just curious if the shot was dry from the beginning.  If so, why were you using the Power Machine?  I know mine is a lot of ball even on a medium oil shot.  You are going to like this ball when you get on the right condition.  Keep us updated.

I wasn't prepared.  The shot has been a heavy medium for most of the year, but from what I understand something actually went wrong with the lane machine.  Something about the pads or a heating element or something I don't know anything about, but the shot was dry and spotty, and I didn't have anything less than the Power with me.  My bad, shoulda had the Doom in the bag!
