I saw those, thought maybe it was an overseas release, but the description on the ball was lacking..

That is the new release and they are having a demo on all the new Ebonite made balls in Douglasville, GA tomorrow! The new Complete NV will be there as well! The review is in the February BTM and the Total Hook is rated at 47 and Back End 14.5 with Length 13! Thanks, Bruce

I received my BTM today and they tested it. It appears that this ball may not handle carry down too well.

BTM reviewed it in the Feb issue. As expected, earlier roll than the original, smoother, more control, handles same amount of oil, medium.

I asked that very same question in another post, it is a solid, a little more aggressive than the Kinetic that fits in nicely between the Kinetic and The Rising.

It depends on how oil you used it on and your release. For most people, the Kinetic is an extreme skid/flip ball, on average.

Kinetic Energy is the second ball in the upper mid price line for Track.  Kinetic Energy features the same outstanding Shuttle core as in the original Kinetic, with identical core numbers.   We have wrapped an all new “UMP Gen 2” coverstock around the ball to complement the reaction to the original.   Now, the Kinetic Energy does just that . . . it uses up the bowler’s energy sooner but will still give the huge backend we all expect from the Kinetic ball line.

HOOK OIL: 45
BACKEND: 28

Kinetic Energy is a two-color (Navy/Orange) ball that is available in 12 -16 pounds.

RG     Diff
16#     2.49      .040
15#    2.48       .040
14#     2.46      .040

Core:   “Shuttle”
Core Type:   Asymmetrical
Intermediate Diff:    0.006
Veneer:   “UMP 2” - Reactive
Surface:   2000 Abralon Polished
Color:   Navy/ Orange
Lane Condition:   Medium to Heavy

I just got back from Ebonite last night from the Track Training Seminar for all the staff players. We all got to drill up a Kinetic Energy. We were able to test it on 4 different patterns. House Pattern, 2004 Masters Pattern, Last Years Panama Invitational Pattern, and Ebonites Heavy Oil Test Pattern.

First off, the ball is exactly what Paul Figliomeni said it was, 2 feet earlier and 3-5 boards stronger. I was able to use it on all four patterns with adjustments either by changing how I lined up, hand positions, or speed. I was very pleased with the balls performance. The Kinetic Energy is very versitile and is a great compliment to the Kinetic and the Rising.
