Machine OOB Surface
« on: October 29, 2007, 06:36:49 AM »
Picked up a short pin Maching and drilled it pin in middle finger mass bias 2 inches right of thumb.  This makes aprox 6X4.5.  It rolls really early.  I'm going to polish it but wanted to know the OOB in case.  I may bring it back and save it for some slicker shots.  The box reads compound finish with compound.  Clean'n'sheen?  What grit under C&S?  Thanks in advance

I believe it is 1500 compound. I sanded mine to 500 and i love the ball playing straighter and around the 10 board. Hope this helps...

1000 compound. Take it to around 600 and then on a spinner hit it with a light amount of Clean n Sheen.

Thanks guys, no wonder it's so early.  I'll probably hit it with 2k abralon plus magic shine.

Just used my Machine last night in my second shift league.  I have it drilled pin over bridge, 4-1/2" from axis and MB 4-1/2" from axis.  Surface is at 2000 Abralon.  Ball is absolutely golden on these conditions.  Glides through the spotty heads and gets enough traction to finish in the carrydown.
