Description:  Track has created the Legion line of bowling balls to empower its legion of bowlers.  This ball features the LT-2 core which has a medium RG to produce strong revs for the length of the lane.  This core helps conserve the ball's energy for the breakpoint which gives it a powerful entry angle to the pocket.  The Legion Solid is covered with the proven MR-6 Solid coverstock which offers a strong mid-lane roll with fierce move at the breakpoint when used on medium to heavy oil conditions.

The Track Legion Solid is an amazing combination of smooth and strength. Taking the Tour SIC coverstock and combining it with the asymmetrical core of the original Legion, for me it is a lethal combination.

I drilled my 1st one with the pin up above the bridge, the CG kicked right about 2” and the mass bias is in the thumb hole. The out of box coverstock is at 2000 grit – but it is a very clean finish. I found that with this drilling, the ball gets through the front part of the lane very clean – even on a short pattern – and reads the end of the pattern very well. At the pins, the entry angle is not too angular and packs a heavy rolling wallop.
 
My other Legion Solid has a 2” pin placed below the bridge and the mass bias is kicked right. This layout made the reaction much stronger and gave me a fantastic look on longer and higher volume.

Mitch Beasley says to think of this ball like a “Baby Paradox” – a ball that you can switch to when the Paradox is too much ball and you need something to start your transition play. I would tend to agree. For me, this is going to be my benchmark ball and I would recommend it highly!

COMMENTS:
A little weaker then paradox but The potential for this ball is unreal. I love the smoothness and the movement of the spot of this ball.

This could be a Benchmark ball

Likes:  Legion Solid (Box surface) – Pin in the ring finger and CG kicked out (positive axis point) is 4 3/8 right 1/2 up
Pattern was a 41ft Kegel Beaten Path independent bowling center
I was able to use the Legion solid on a head shot ran beaten path pattern after the first five games of a mixed doubles tournament.  I started playing them through 8 at the arrows and depending on the lane that I went to I didn’t have to go any farther left then 15 at the arrows.  The legion has that shape you want to see from almost any ball during tournament play when you are able to visualize the reaction you want and that is the reaction you get.  I didn’t have to guess what the Legion solid was going to do once it got out the end of the pattern.  Predictable reaction and if a move needed to be made it was not a guess and or hope that it would get back to the 1-3.  The reason I like this reaction from the Legion solid so much I was able to play straighter and I could read the reaction as well as open the lane up and read the reaction this is something that not every ball is able to do and versatility for me is a huge want.  The box surface holds up very well on the Legion Solid I haven’t had to put it back to box yet after 10 or more games.

If you liked the Legion you'll love this ball. If you hated the Legion, you'll really love this ball. I didn't have success with the Legion as the cover didn't really match up with me. I've had success with this core in the past so I was disappointed. With the cover on the Legion Solid having the same cover as the Tour SiC, my eyes about popped out of my head. The SiC is most reliable ball I've ever had. The cover/core combo on the Legion Solid is a perfect match. It is the most ideal benchmark ball, it should be the first ball out of your bag. For me it is a Tour SiC on steroids or a baby Paradox. This ball will surprise you and I have a feeling it will be underrated. But don't pass this one up.

I truly believe that this is the "best ball that most league guys have never heard of".  I was blown away with the performance of this ball almost immediately and it still remains in the 'travel bag' to this day.

Picture in your mind, the motion of the Ebonite GameBreaker2 .. now imagine that with a bit more pop on off the spot.

That is what I see with my Legion Solid.   I have drilled two, one pin up and one pin down, and both of them have a place in my bag.

Smooth through the front and a nice change of direction off of the spot, but not a 'jerk' or 'hockey-stick' that a lot of the new booming balls do.

GREAT addition for anyone and an almost must have for tournament players.

COMMENTS

Likes: I used this ball today to make it to matchplay in a local tournament. It fit this pattern really well, I play a pretty standard shot 15 to 10 and read the lanes really well. it got through heads really clean and picked up the back end really smooth. This ball is a great tournament ball and a must for every bag for every tournament bowler.
