Lets get some opinions!!!
« on: July 08, 2003, 07:01:06 AM »
I have been looking for an EMB (solid or pearl--please exclude opinions on the XF)for quite some time actually, and have yet to land one.

I am looking for opinions....is this ball even worth my time to try? I was supposed to get one when it was first released, but it never worked out. I have heard many people say this ball does not hook as much as Track expected (meaning the original). But I have heard that there was (at that time) no ball that hit as hard as the EMB.

I think I can land you a 16lb EMB Pearl.  Probably around $75 shipped.

EMB Pearl was okay ball, pretty flippy.  Pearl shell matched the weight block better, more energy down lane.  EMB Solid was crappy.  Neither one like the XF.  XF wasn't EMB at all, just said EMB on it, think Track couldn't come up with a good name at the time.

Anyway, let me know!

I used the EMB solid two years ago.  I like the ball because it didn't over react at all for me.  I could play a comfortable line on most conditions without making major adjustments.  Just throw it out to where your mark is and it will go into the pocket.  No this ball isn't a big hooking ball, and I'd consider it a medium to medium heavier type ball.  The only time I had a real problem with this ball was when there was OB or lots of carrydown.  I also didn't find the hit to be anything special, but maybe because I'm comparing it to my AZO equipment now.  It carried decently with no over abundance of raps.  I don't know if you should jump on this bandwagon now since it is kind of old, but I liked it when I had it.

P.S.  I shot my only 300 with this ball, and a 299 with another older Track ball.

I think I messaged you a few months back that ebay still has them on sale.  If I remember correctly I saw them the other day.
