Title: Looking for a good ball on dry/burnt up lanes
Post by: bshinn04 on March 29, 2014, 11:23:30 AM
I've recently switched to Track balls and looking to take my game up a level to where I can start entering into local tournaments and the more competitive leagues around me, but I need to step my game up a notch before then. I'm not overly familiar with the terminology yet, but I'll try to explain the best I can what I'm looking for. Mainly bowling on a THS, but have throw a few times on some sport patterns.

THS average: 220
Speed : high
Rev rate: high

Track balls i'm using right now:

Lx16 - pin down
916AT - pin up

Let me know if more information is needed, but I'm looking for another track ball to use on a day where the lanes are drier or once I've started burning up my line with my stronger track balls as right now there just isn't enough lane for me to throw a comfortable and consistent shot with my current equipment.

Any and all information or guidance is appreciated in advance.

Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestions. I've struggled in the past to find a ball that can keep up with my throw, which is why I switched to track and their stronger end stuff. Just trying to get opinions on what ball to go with that'll compliment them well, without me having to adjust how much hand or speed I throw with throughout the night as I lose consistency quick when I have to try and compensate my throw.

And I would still drill the 503T weaker.

If I was looking for a ball that also ran a little longer down the lane and still had a snappy back end, would the 503T still be a good ball?

503T wont be snappy, if you want that go with the HX05, 503A, or 400A

weaker ball or the burned up conditions = 300t
with the right layout, you can get through the heads and have a controllable arcing motion.
it is not a skid/flippy piece

I don't necessarily want to stick to one brand, just figured it was the best way to go rather than mix it up. I'm pretty much open to all suggestions though. Will have to look at the LT-48. Thanks for the help.
