Matching equipment up with my game
« on: January 11, 2006, 02:18:31 AM »
Hi.  I have the following specs.

Ball speed: 16-17 mph
Axis tilt: 10 degrees
Current PAP: 5 3/8" right 5/8" up

(Disclaimer: Right now I am tracking high and never used to.  I am working on getting my thumb out earlier and when I do my PAP is closer to 5" over and 3/8" up)

Revs: upper low to medium (I have never officially measured them)
Classification: Slightly speed dominant

I currently have the following Track equipment.  I am hoping to receive some opinions on my current layouts and how/if they match up well with my specs.  I would be interested in hearing any suggestions you might have on equipment decisions.  I also recently bought the Rule Delta 1.  I would like to receive suggestions on a layout for this ball, which will be my most aggressive ball in my arsenal.  For some reason, I do not have much luck with particle coverstocks.

Note: All measurments are approximate, as I did not have a quarter scale to locate my exact PAP.

Rule Delta 1:  New ball - please suggest a strong drilling layout.
 - Pin to PAP distance 4" (pin 1 1/2" above midline)
 - CG kicked out right to 4 1/2
 - Would this be a good layout?

Arsenal Reactive:
 - Pin above bridge (3 3/8" above midline, approx. 5 3/4" from PAP)
 - CG kicked out to the right (approx. 1 1/2" to PAP)
 - Balance hole

Xception:
 - Pin above right half of middle finger (3 1/2" above midline, approx. 5 7/8" to PAP)
 - MB to PAP 3"
 - Balance hole

Desert Heat:
 - Pin above ring finger (Pin to PAP 4 7/8", pin 2 3/4" above midline)
 - CG to PAP 5" (CG approx. 1/2" right of midline, close to stacked)
 - No balance hole

If you you need more details about the drillings above, please let me know.

I look forward to your reponses.

Thanks
cd
