« on: December 26, 2005, 02:05:34 PM »
I need drilling help on a Rule Delta One for hwavy oil on synthetic lanes.I have been using a Slash, drilld 4 by 3 on a med/oil condition for the first fourteen weeks and averaging 208 but now they have changed to a heavy oil pattern. I have gone from standing on 20 throwing across 13 to 8 to playing down 5 while standing on 10 and my carry has suffersd, lot of 10 pins.I through around 16mph and my pap is 41/4 over and 1/2 up.Thanks for your help.

I would go with the pin 2" above your midline and 4" from PAP and the MB on or past VAL.

alex,

StormTrack's suggestion is not bad. What surface is currently on your Slash? Is it polished, dull or a slight shine from absorbing oil?
Let me know that info and I will give you a suggestion.

alex,

With the info we currently have I agree with layout suggested by Storm Track. The Delta is naturally going to start up sooner than the Slash, and even with a fairly early rolling layout like that you may even enjoy some good backend reaction out of it depending on the pattern.

Goodluck,

Hey alex,

The 4x4mb sounds good unless you want it to be just a tad more stable.  The Rule Delta 1 offers quite a bit of backend strength and if you're used to a "track" shot of about 13-8 with your Slash, the Delta 1 is going to be fairly angular on the backend with that layout.  I'd push the mb to 3.5 for a little sooner roll and that will help change the reaction shape some.  Just a thought for you....
