2 complaints about Track
« on: June 26, 2003, 12:09:14 AM »
OK...I have said each of these in a few different posts by other people.

#1--if I plan on throwing Track exclusively, I cannot do so. They do not have a 3 piece ball for the drier conditions. I have a Voo Doo I used for this condition that had about 4 coats of Controll it on the surface. It worked alright, but was still a bit strong for my liking. I understand that Track has said they do not plan on working this area of manufacturing equipment. Maybe this has to do with the Columbia counterparts having the flip side wild, and all of the Scouts. Whatever the reason, I still would like to see Track hit this area.

#2 I would like to see the morpheous core-any of the differnt mutations out there-in a reactive cover, or even a reactive pearl. I do not know how well, or how poorly a match it would be, but I would like to see Track put out a reactive with a strong/versatile core.

Those are my complaints. Trust me, the positives far out weight the negatives.

Just a few positives to list.
1-best high end equipment out
2-great life of coverstocks
3-versatile cover stocks
4-minus the 3pc, the equipment covers everything someone should need
5-CUSTOMER SERVICE is awesome.

those a few of a long list

Hey Excaliber, as an FYI, when speaking with Chuck the other day and hearing him rave about the morpheus core. I did mention to him about putting a version of the core in a Reactive Coverstock of some sort. I would love to see the core of the Freak Out in say the Voodoo or Hex Coverstock!! Big Time Flip!!!

Rock, that is exactly what I was thinking. The Voo Doo cover, but instead of the Freak Out Core, maybe the Mutant's.

In response to the maintenance remark about the Freak Out. I have one, I left the surface in box condition. I put alot of games on the ball, probably around 150 or so. Other than simply cleaning it with Track Clean n Dull I never had to do anything to the surface. Maybe I was lucky. Or maybe to keep the surface of a ball good, you need to clean it.

Excaliber, that is a better suggestion. I always forget about the angular snap of the Mutant. I always tend to think that the Freak Out was the more angular of all the Morpheus cores. Hmmm, the Mutant core in a Hex coverstock, that would be nice. Very Nice!!!

What I was trying to say was that they have nothing in their current line. It is easy to find the old stuff on ebay. But I can sure tell you that none of that old stuff has the morpheous core in them.

I do agree that Track eequipment does come back to life very easily.  the one thing i really don't see is why everyone is having such a big problem with the tec coverstock of columbia's.  i have both an Extreme Chaos and a Rock.  one with tec coverstock the other with tec 2 of course.  and i have not had a problem with either of these balls dying out.  Im not even very religious on cleaning my equipment.  it took my chaos close to 150 games to even start to show signs of dying out.  i let the ball go for probably another 300 games after that.  even after all those games all i did was set the ball out in the sun for a while and wipe it off ever 10 min or so.  next day i went to roll with it.  and it acted like it did out of the box.  had the same problem with my Rock except it started to die out after about 100 games.  Did the same thing and "wow that ball does actually move".  The Rock was a good ball.  but i did just replace it with a track mutant.  I like the mutant better for heavy oil.  but its kinda weird when me and a friend roll the ball about the exact same and he can roll his xfactor deuce, box condition.  and i can roll my brand new Ex. Chaos that i just bought box condition.  and the 2 balls react almost identically.  And i do completely agree with Excaliber that Track really does need to put in some lower end balls.  im not sure how good of a ball this would be (not real good at choosing core coverstock combo's )  but i would like to see what happened if they put a real aqgressive core, say the Mutant core, with a very non aggressive coverstock,  maybe something like Columbia's Super-flex coverstock??  Now if this is some horrible suggestion then go for it.  shoot me down like you shoot a duck.  I got my bullet proof vest on.
