Inertia....layout and reaction
« on: August 23, 2006, 02:31:59 AM »
Thank you ALL for your suggestions!  I listened and went with the majority rule.  Pin is slightly right of ring and under at about 4 o'clock (1 inch pin) with the mb below and left of thumb.  Layout ends up 3.5 x "7" mb with the pin 1 7/8 above midline.

Punched it and didn't get to practice until league.  Threw 2 practice shots (late to league) and proceeded to shoot 256, 211, 224 and 177 (missed 2 spares) for 868.  This is the house that I can't hit due to the wet/dry condition normally.  Scores should have been higher but my rotator is really bothering me as of late.

Reaction: It cleared heads with ease and had a moderate or controlled backend.  It definitely allowed me to play more of a down and in shot and in games 3+4 usually where I'm standing 40 or more, I was no further then 29 (edge of my left foot) still playing 12 to 7-8.  It let me stay much more direct even with my higher rev to slow ball speed.  Very nice with good hit, just user error on majority of shots cause of the shoulder pain.  I couldn't hit the ball at all but it carried very well considering.

I have to check my calender at work to see if I have any lessons scheduled tonite or else I will try and put up some vids.  Thanks again for all your input and I'll keep you guys posted with further use.

Hey dude,

Nice shooting! I just responded to your post a little earlier. So you did go with Pin slightly right of ring and MB near track. Neato! I guess I don't feel so dumb afterall haha.

Was this at Cloverleaf or Dublin Bud? I am guessing Cloverleaf?

No X-hole I'm guessing? What did the ending statics end up at? Let us know when you can!

Thanks man!

Hey Ramalama ding dong, (no pun intended, just came to me)

No weight hole buddy, ending staics were 1/8 side and a touch of finger 1/16?.

The reaction is very nice for Ram but with your higher track, it might get close to clipping.  Only way is to try and then maybe add a weight hole to change your bowtie if you do clip.

Jack opened the shop at Clover and Mike is still a turd..LOL

Gunny, I was there about 12-14 yrs ago also (Friday nite Scratch 1000 Classic).  My last 300 there was in "94" with Petrovich, Jeff Williams, Hewitt, Rocha and Easley...etc.  I just came back this yr after about 12 yrs as well....

Oh yeah, Chambers still wears something pink everytime I see him...
